HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Melvin "Ken" McNalley, 49, of Speake will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Coops officiating.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. McNalley died Sunday, May 20, 2001, in Morgan County. He was born Feb. 5, 1952, in Morgan County to D.Z. McNalley and Audrey Jeffers McNalley. He was a 1970 graduate of Falkville High School. He was a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie McNalley of Speake; his mother of Hartselle; one son, Andy McNalley of Hartselle; one stepson, Chase Davis of Speake; and one grandson.

Andrew Sam 'Andy' Molaro Jr.
39, teacher

Funeral for Andrew Sam "Andy" Molaro Jr., 39, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Jim Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Molaro died Monday, May 21, 2000, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1961, in Decatur to Andrew Sam Molaro Sr. and Bernice L. Molaro. He was a graduate of Athens State University and received his master's degree from Alabama A&M University. He was a teacher in Limestone County and a member of Decatur Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Molaro; one son, Scott Molaro of Decatur; his mother of Decatur; and two sisters, Sandra Dugger and Vicki Molaro, both of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Andy Sittason, Daryl Alred, Glenn Dugger, Tim Bargas, Danny Bosher and Brian Gafford.

Thomas Gerald Starke
59, truck mechanic

ATHENS -- Graveside service for Thomas Gerald Starke, 59, of Tanner will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with R. L. Garber officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 at the funeral home.

Mr. Starke died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Chicago, Ill. He was a truck mechanic and a Teamsters member. He was a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago.

Survivors include his mother, Florence Booher of Tanner.

Harold Kenneth Aday
82, World War II veteran
Graveside service for Harold Kenneth Aday, 82, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. W.K. Stephenson officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Aday died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Morgan County to Lucian Minor Aday Sr. and Ethel Miller Aday. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Decatur Elks Lodge 655 and American Legion Post 15. He worked for Hertz Division of Decatur Transit and sold tires for Ryan's Tire and Battery Co., General Tire Co. and Hagler Tire Co. for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita K. Aday; two daughters, Gloria J. Aday of Jackson, Miss., and Martha Day Boogaerts of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, L.M. Aday Jr. of Orman Beach, Fla., and John Gwen Aday of Huntsville; one sister, Gertrude Aday Wells of Decatur; and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Lee Johnson, Ewell Russell, Frank Smith, Tom Pangle, Billy Smith, Arvin Briscoe and Thomas Bailey.

Etta Mae Arkin
88, beautician

Graveside service for Etta Mae Arkin, 88, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Ralph Stout officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Ms. Arkin died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born Nov. 8, 1912, in Morgan County to Eugene Beddingfield and Ossie L. Beddingfield. She was a beautician and a member of Grant Street Church of Christ.

Survivors included two daughters, Pam Arkin of Farmville, Va., and Susanne Lacy of Marietta, Ga.; three brothers, Eugene Beddingfield of Athens, James Harold Beddingfield of Tanner and Dr. R.C. Beddingfield of Decatur; one sister, Irma Hill of St. George, S.C.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Willie M. Johnson
87, former cattle farmer

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Willie M. Johnson, 87, of Hartselle will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Penn officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson died Friday, May 25, 2001, at his home. He was born Aug. 15, 1913, in Morgan County to Green Williams Johnson and Nancy Elizabeth Burns Johnson. He was a cattle farmer in the Punkin Center community and a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church and Ironworkers Local No. 37. He was the widower of Kathleen Rose Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Waymon O'Neil Johnson of Hartselle; one daughter, Sonja Kay Johnson Little of Hartselle; one brother, Gilbert "Gil" Johnson of Neel; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Hoyt Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Rayburn Johnson, Malcolm Kirby, Ray Kirby and Jim Glasgow.

Ola Catherine Napps McCullough

Mrs. McCullough died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Louisville. She was born March 26, 1916, in Decatur to Charles Inman Napps and Ruby Pearl Lamon Napps. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beechmont Women's Club and Christ Church United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Howard McCullough.

Survivors include one son, David McCullough of Connecticut; one daughter, Harriet Allen of Louisville; one sister, Mildred Kalb of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

J.C. Reaves
81, World War II veteran

HARTSELLE -- Memorial service for J.C. Reaves, 81, of Falkville was Friday at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Reaves died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born June 16, 1919, in Mississippi. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was a retired truck driver from P.I.E. Trucking, where he worked for 27 years.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Presley Reaves; one son, Kenneth Reaves of Falkville; one daughter, Jamie Powers of Copley, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Edith Lurene Reed
87, homemaker

RUSSELLVILLE -- Funeral for Edith Lurene Reed, 87, of Mount Hope will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mount Hope United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with Pinkard Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Reed died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. She was born April 30, 1914, in Lawrence County. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church since 1925. She was the widow of Lyn Reed and the mother of the late Ronald Reed.

Survivors include one son, Larry Reed of Mount Hope; two daughters, Linda Tidmore and Nancy Oswalt, both of Mount Hope; one sister, Virginia Brown of Harvey, Ill.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Darwin Sims Siniard
64, former educator

ATHENS -- Funeral for Darwin Sims Siniard, 64, of Anderson will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. A. Ray Blankenship and the Rev. Mitchell McCormick officiating.

Burial will be in Oakgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Siniard died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at his home. He was born May 8, 1937, in Limestone County. A member of Salem United Methodist Church, he was a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Georgia. He taught at Athens High School and was retired from West Limestone High School, where he was Future Farmers of America adviser.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Siniard; three daughters, Venita McCurry and Rene McCormick, both of Anderson, and Adel Ward of Childersburg; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Sims, Wayne Tosh, Howell Sims, Doug Poole, Jackie Siniard and Marvin Wilkerson.

Memorials may be made to the playground fund at Salem United Methodist Church.

Earl 'Bud' Veach
73, World War II veteran

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Earl "Bud" Veach, 73, of Hartselle will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse White officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Veach died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1927, in New York to Earl Eli Veach and Josephine Ethel Veach. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hartselle and dispatcher and cab driver for Central DuBois Cab Co. He was the brother of the late Robert Veach.

Survivors include his wife, Gussie F. Veach; three sons, Earl Veach Jr., Richard E. Veach and Carl A. Veach, all of New York; six daughters, Nancy Horvath of Hartselle and Sharon Speed, Sandra Lee, Gussie O'Dell, Tammy Rifenburgh and Lisa Veach, all of New York; four brothers, Edward Veach, Douglas Veach and Ronald Veach, all of New York, and Raymond Veach Sr. of Hartselle; one sister, Betty Ronk of New York; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Boughton, Ronald Briehof, Bobby Champion, Wayne Emerson, Lew Irwin and Raymond Veach.

Harvey Nathaniel Hubbard
56, Moulton retiree

Funeral for Harvey Nathaniel Hubbard, 56, of Moulton will be Tuesday at noon at Byler Road Church of Christ with George Gee officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Hubbard died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Lawrence County to Harvey Hubbard and Orene Jackson Hubbard. He worked for the city of Moulton Street Department and was a member of Byler Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Brad Hubbard of Moulton; his mother of Landersville; two brothers, Raymond Hubbard of Cleveland and Lonnie Hubbard of Huntsville; one sister, Bertha Hubbard of Moulton; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Alexander, Kim Alexander, Steve Hubbard, James Jackson, Marvin Jackson and Curtis Jackson.

Larry Mitchell Latham
49, owner of Latham's Carpet

MOULTON -- Funeral for Larry Mitchell Latham, 49, of Moulton will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Jackson and the Rev. Wayne Dotson officiating.

Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Latham died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home. He was born March 25, 1952, in Lawrence County to Ester and John Mitchell Latham. He was a self-employed carpet layer and owner Latham's Carpet in Moulton. He was a member of New Beginnings Church. He was the father of the late Lecia Jane Latham.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Latham; one son, Brandon Latham of Hartselle; one daughter, Angelia Alexander of Arab; one stepdaughter, Samantha Schrader of Moulton; his mother, Ester B. Bradford of Moulton; two brothers, Farrell Latham of Moulton and Darrell Latham of Town Creek; three sisters, Joyce Bailey of Arab and Elizabeth Jackson and Gay Nell Montgomery, both of Decatur; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Trent Bailey, Chris Bailey, Arden Atwood, Jamie Latham, Gary Hand and Michael Smith.

Bessie Esterlee Davis
ARDMORE -- Funeral for Bessie Esterlee Davis, 81, of Ardmore will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Willie Earl, Billy McGregor and Woodrow Franklin officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Huntsville Hospital.

Survivors include one son, Frank Davis of Mableton, Ga.; three daughters, Loretta Carter, Ellen Clem and Annette D. Reyer, all of Ardmore; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Donaldson, Heath Emerson, Tim Helton, Jeff Jeffers, Jonathan Schrimsher and Bill Smith II.

Mildred King Magnusson

Ms. Magnusson died Sunday, May 27, 2001, in Pulaski, Tenn. She was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Holland's Gin Church of Christ.

Survivors include one brother, James King of Ardmore; and one sister, Clara Mae Loveless of Elkmont.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Loveless, Kevin Robinson, Jimmy Hogan, Kenneth Robinson, Doug Warner and Hugh Robert Griffin.

Vera Grace Wright

She was a homemaker and served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was a former Decatur resident and attended Central Baptist Church. She was the widow of William Price Wright Sr.

Survivors include four sons, William "Bill" Price Wright Jr. and Thomas "Tommy" Franklin Wright, both of Decatur, Robert Daniel Wright of Muscle Shoals and David Wayne Wright of Shreveport, La.; two daughters, Betty Virginia Wright Proctor of Huntsville and Lela Carolyn Ray of Russellville; one brother, Roy Honeycutt of Hermitage, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Franklin Wright II, William Gilbert Wright, Donald Ripley Proctor Jr., Ronald Anthony Proctor; Wayne Thomas Ray Jr. and William Price Wright III.
