ATHENS -- Funeral arrangements for Donald Bisel, 69, of Mobile, who died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital, will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home.

Ruby R. Cobb
81, accounting clerk

Funeral for Ruby R. Cobb, 81, of Clarksville, Tenn., will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cobb died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Gateway Medical Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Cullman to James Alfred Romine and Ella Rose Romine. She spent most of her life in Decatur, where she was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ and worked as an accounting clerk for Worthington for years. After moving to Clarksville 15 years ago, she became a member of Madison Street Church of Christ and the Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by one son, William Cecil Cobb Jr. of Maumee, Ohio; one daughter, Carol Allison of Clarksville; one brother, Ted Romine of Garden City, Ga.; one sister, Mary Marie Smith of Ocean Springs, Miss.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Christine Cole Lincoln
85, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Christine Cole Lincoln, 85, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Elkmont, will be Saturday at noon at First Baptist Church of Elkmont with the Rev. Ralph Marshall Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Smithfield Cemetery with People's Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Lincoln died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, in Detroit. She was born February 8, 1914, in Elkmont. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one brother, Rev. Curtis Cole of California; and one sister, Maureen Simmons of Detroit.

Harry Julian Farris
59, lodge director

Funeral for Harry Julian Farris, 59, of Decatur will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Capt. Mark Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Farris died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Missouri to Shorty and Alice Farris. He served in the National Guard for 25 years and was a soldier in the Salvation Army. He served as lodge director at the Salvation Army in Decatur for the past eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Farris; two sons, Fred Taylor of Decatur and Michael Farris of Atlanta; two daughters, Jennifer Farris and Stacy Dimitro, both of Decatur; one sister, Linda Martin of Aurora, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Martin, Paul Mansell, Silas Mansell, Timmy Reeves, Michael Hepfer and David Fagerman.

Members of the Salvation Army Men's Club will be honorary pallbearers.

Kenneth Lynn Petty
31, water blaster

Funeral for Kenneth Lynn Petty, 31, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at David Temple Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Carey Orr officiating and Reynolds Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Sterrs Cemetery.

Mr. Petty died Oct. 11, 1999 at Decatur General Hospital. He was born April 9, 1968 in Morgan County to William Robinson and Beatrice Petty.

He attended Austin High School and he was an amateur boxer and a member of David Temple.

He is survived by four sons, Kendrick Miller, Kenneth R. Petty, Quincey Wilkerson and Tyson Benford, all of Decatur; two daughters, Alexis Petty and Kenya Petty of Decatur; father who lives in Georgia and mother who lives in Decatur; five brothers, Leon Petty Jr., Jimmy Petty, Tyrone Milam, all of Decatur, James Petty of Camp Templeton, Calif. And Joel Taylor of Elmore; three sisters, Vickie Wallace, Mary Dale and Deborah Smith, all of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bates, Chris Malone, Tyrone Elliott, Nick Caudle, Dennis Darby, William Dale, Todd Johnson and Tracey Miller.

Ada Mae Roberts
90, homemaker

Funeral for Ada Mae Roberts, 90, of Danville was to be today at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Blaxton officiating.

Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1909, in Morgan County to John Wesley Scott and Margaret Ellen James Scott. She was a homemaker and a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was the mother of the late Avery Roberts.

She is survived by her husband, Emmett Avery Roberts; one daughter, Margaret Roberts Collins of Danville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Joe McDaniel, Wilson Mitchel, Russell Millwood, Don McLemore, Jeff Stewart and Thomas Holland.

Tony Terry

MOULTON -- Funeral for Tony Terry, 42, of Town Creek, who died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Lawrence Baptist Hospital, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wakefield and the Rev. Steve Hood officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Further information will be announced by the funeral home.

Edith Margaret 'Peggy' Overton
70, homemaker

NASHVILLE -- Funeral for Edith Margaret "Peggy" Overton, 70, of Nashville, formerly of Moulton, was to be today at 10 a.m. at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. John H. Apple Jr. officiating.

Burial was to be at 4 p.m. in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens in Moulton.

Mrs. Overton died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Summitt Medical Center in Hermitage, Tenn. She was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Moulton to Sherman and Ruth Peppers. She was a homemaker and a member of Tennessee Women's Golf Association and the Nashboro Village Women's Golf Association.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherrie Overton Preuss of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, William Peppers of Hartselle and Willard Peppers of Decatur; one sister, Marie Treadway of Moulton; and one granddaughter.

Wendy Michelle Moss Dake

ATHENS -- Funeral for Wendy Michelle Moss Dake, 31, of Athens will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny McMullins and the Rev. Donald Terry officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dake died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born April 1, 1968, in Limestone County. She was a member of First Union Baptist Church and attended Truth Baptist Church. She was granddaughter of the late Elmer and Mary Lou Moss and of the late Curtis Raney.

She is survived by her husband, Allan Dake; one son, Blake Allison of Athens; one stepdaughter, Kerrie Dake of Athens; her parents, Danny and Diane Moss of Athens; one sister, Beth Clem of Athens; her grandmother, Nell Gladys Raney Stewart of Elkmont; and her grandfather, Wade Stewart of Elkmont.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

James William George

CULLMAN -- Funeral for James William George, 44, of Eva will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Elrod and the Rev. Vernon Willis officiating.

Burial will be in Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. George died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at his home. He was born Sept. 26, 1955, in Hartselle to James A. and Annie Mae George. He worked for Coy Panter Poultry.

He is survived by one son, Brian George of Vinemont; two daughters, Stephanie Vincent of Eva and Misty George of Cullman; his mother, Annie Mae George of Falkville; one brother, Leeman George of Eva; three sisters, Vicky Pitts of Falkville, Peggy Cain of Cullman and Emma Roberts of Falkville; and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Chris Pitts, Jason Pitts, Nathan Cain, Joseph Cain, Richard George, Jeremy George and Jacob Roberts.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cullman.
