ATHENS -- Funeral for Cliff Marty Robertson, 41, of Athens was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Derril Robertson officiating.
Burial was to be in Romine Cemetery in Rogersville.
Mr. Robertson died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, in Limestone County. He was born Jan. 8, 1960, in Lauderdale County to Mack and Betty Robertson. He was employed at Cast Products Incorporated and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Robertson; one son, Jeffery Gatlin of Athens; one step-son, Orry Montgomery of Anderson; one step-daughter, Savannah Stark of Athens; his mother of Athens; five brothers, Eric Robertson of Lester, Johnny Robertson of Columbia, Tenn., Ralph Robertson, Derril Robertson and James Raney, all of Athens; six sisters, Theresa Walker of Candenton, Mo., Patricia McIntear of Iron City, Tenn., Phyllis Berryhill of Huntsville, Connie Sims, Sandra Romine and Mary Bullington, all of Athens.
Pallbearers were to be Troy Lovell, Jackie Nixon, Matthew McIntear, Dennis Campbell, Michael Looney and Eddie Robertson.
Willie Omie Carwile Wade
LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. -- Funeral for Willie Omie Carwile Wade, 95, of Lawrenceburg was to be today at 2 p.m. at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home with Curtis Gilbert officiating.
Burial was to be in Hester Chapel Cemetery at Lester.
Mrs. Wade died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at SunBridge Healthcare Center. She was born Dec. 5, 1905, in Limestone County to John Carwile and Ettie Pearl Hendrix Carwile. She was a homemaker and a member of County Line Church of Christ. She was the widow of Lester Wade and the mother of the late Kenneth Wade, Hazel Wade, Elizabeth Wade and an infant son.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Donald Wade of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Janet Staggs of Lawrenceburg and Willa Pearl Gatlin of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
John Alfred Blachowski Sr.
Memorial service for John Alfred Blachowski Sr., 88, of Decatur will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Morningside Assisted Living with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Oakville Cemetery in Prattville. The family will receive friends one hour before the service Saturday.
Mr. Blachowski died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. He was born Aug. 26, 1913, in Chicago. He was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church. He retired from Skil-Tools of Chicago after 45 years and served four years in the Army Air Corp.
Survivors include one son, John E. Blachowski of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Barbara Kramer of Clarksville, Ga.; one brother, Leon Black of Criveitz, Wis.; one sister, Margie Loshe of Gainesville, Ga; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Alen Burnell 'Bill' Ivey
CULLMAN -- Funeral for Alen Burnell "Bill" Ivey, 76, of Vinemont was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spirit Life Church of God with the Rev. Andrew Ball and the Rev. Troy Puckett officiating.
Burial was to be in Cook's Cemetery with Moss Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Ivey died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Mississippi to Owen James Ivey and Mary Elizabeth Morris Ivey. Mr. Ivey served in the U.S. Army and Navy. He was a retired machinist from Matthews Industries in Decatur.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Ivey; one son, Gregory Ivey of Cullman; two daughters, Kathy Reed of Hartselle and Pamela Guyette of Montgomery; three brothers, Arthur Ivey of Tuscaloosa, and Ted Ivey and James Ivey, both of Sylacauga; and seven grandchildren.
Cynthia Sheffey Jefferson
Graveside service for Cynthia Sheffey Jefferson, 97, of Denver, Colo., will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Sykes Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Jefferson died Monday, July 30, 2001, in Denver. She was born Feb. 20, 1904, in Decatur to A.O. Sheffey and Daisy Wynn Sheffey. Mr. Sheffey was the first black pharmacist in Alabama and owned Sheffey Drugstore in Decatur. Mrs. Jefferson was the widow of Dr. Thomas Leroy Jefferson and the mother of the late Deo Stephenson Jefferson. She studied at Tennessee State University and was an accountant and bookkeeper.
Survivors include two sons, William Barnard Jefferson of Ridgefield Park, N.J., and Theodore Maurice Jefferson of Denver; and eight grandchildren.

Joseph Palmarchuk
HUNTSVILLE -- Memorial service for Joseph Palmarchuk, 78, of Cotaco will be Thursday at the Community Baptist Church in Cotaco with the Rev. Don Smith officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Homes and Memory Gardens will announce further arrangements.
Mr. Palmarchuk died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Oklahoma to Joseph Palmarchuk and Mary Palmarchuk. He was a retired mechanic with Sears. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Palmarchuk; four sons, Joe Palmarchuk of St. Louis, Mo., Bill Palmarchuk, John Palmarchuk and George Palmarchuk, all of Detriot, Mich.; three daughters, Sue Wallace, Debra Wheeler and Mary Stevenson, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Leon Palmarchuk of Oklahoma; two sisters, Sophie Tilley of Troy, Mich. and Mary Ridenor of California.
Jessica Marie Terry
MOULTON -- Funeral for Jessica Marie Terry, 27, of Moulton will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Neil Carter officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Miss Terry died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 2, 1974, in Plainwell, Mich., to M.C. Terry and Janice Terry. She was a member of the Church of God. She was the granddaughter of the late Clint and Jessie Terry and Louis Tyler.
Survivors include her parents, of Moulton; and her grandmother, Helen Tyler of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Terry, Shane Lovett, Kenneth Terry, Ken Terry, Rodney Wise, Shawn Letson, Wendell Henderson, Mickey Brandon, Tony Borden and Josh Cyr.
Dorothy McClure Thomas
FLORENCE -- Graveside service for Dorothy McClure Thomas, 82, of Florence will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Florence City Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard McDowell and the Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating and Elkins Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Annex. She was born April 6, 1919, in Decatur to Robert Gibbs McClure and Sue Stroup McClure. She graduated from Florence State Teachers College, now The University of North Alabama, and taught elementary school in the Florence area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Mary Douglass Bender Sunday school class. She was the widow of John S. Thomas.
Survivors include two sons, Richard R. Thomas of Atlanta and Dr. John R. Thomas of Florence; one sister, Mary Lee of Montgomery; and four grandchildren.
