HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Marvin "Slim" Eubanks, 80, of Somerville will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery in Somerville. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Eubanks died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Cullman County to Charlie Newton Eubanks and Jimmy Llian Haynie Eubanks.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Eubanks of Somerville, Larry Eubanks of Hartselle and Danny Eubanks of Danville; six daughters, Faye Callahan, Patsy Lenox, Bonnie Miller, Emma Little, and Eva Dale Goree, all of Somerville, and Kathy Goree of Danville; one sister, Ruby Nethery of Hartselle; 32 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Goodwin Jr., Jonathan Goodwin, Michael Miller, James Callahan, Jerry Hann and Brian Hill.
Arvola Morgan Hamby
MOULTON -- Funeral for Arvola Morgan Hamby, 63, of Moulton will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Poss and the Rev. Clyde Goodlett officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hamby died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Lawrence County to Burnett Morgan and Elvertie Morgan. She was a member, clerk and Sunday school teacher at Owen Chapel Baptist Church. She was the widow of Odis Hamby and sister of the late Homer Morgan and Hildred Morgan.
Survivors include one son, Gary Hamby of Town Creek; one daughter, Vicky White of Moulton; four brothers, Odell Morgan and George Morgan, both of Moulton, Dennis Morgan of Decatur and Reno Morgan of Danville; two sisters, Lorene Wallace of Lawton, Mich., and Cora Lee Tolbert of Plant City, Fla., and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Monty Morgan, Dustin Morgan, Damon Morgan, Dennis Morgan, Stephen Morgan and Shonn Proctor.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
Margaret Taft Hudson
Graveside service for Margaret Taft Hudson, 79, of Florence will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Ray Warren officiating and Green view Funeral Home of Florence directing.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 to 11 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur.
Mrs. Hudson died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. She was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Lincoln County, Tenn. She was a former Decatur resident, moving to Florence in 1956. She was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert E. Hudson, the mother of the late Robert W. Hudson and the daughter of the late Sarah Taft.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Beth Hudson and Emily Hudson, both of Florence.
Magnolia McGee
Funeral for Magnolia McGee, 52, of Decatur, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be Sand Hill Cemetery in Priceville. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. McGee died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 6, 1949, in Morgan County. She was a former member of Minor Hill Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Sand Hill Baptist Church. She was president of the Morning Stars of Decatur and the Gospel New Tones of Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. W.D. McGee; two sons, Darryl Kelly of Decatur and Richard Long of Athens; two daughters, Freda Long of Decatur and Wanda Fennel of Huntsville; two stepsons, W.D. McGee Jr. and Larry McGee, both of Courtland; one stepdaughter, Denise Young of Decatur; three sisters, Katie Swoopes, Mary Swoopes and Josie Long, all of Decatur; one brother, Willie Long of Decatur; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Dancy, Floyd Key, James Jones, Kenneth Ross, Fred Orr, and Charlie Jolly.

Mrs. Shirley died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. She was born June 4, 1930, in Tennessee to Sub Jones and Gracie Whitney Jones. She was a retired laundry supervisor for Dana Corp. and attended Assembly of God in Hartselle.
Survivors include one son, Billy Shirley of Decatur; one daughter, Hydrith Senase of Chicago; one brother, Spud Jones of Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Atnipp of Indianapolis and Lobo Spine of Tennessee; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ronny Smith
ATHENS -- Funeral for Ronny Smith, 44, of Athens, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Mark Johnson officiating.

Mr. Smith died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, in Limestone County. He was born Sept. 22, 1957, in Memphis, to James Earl Smith and Douglas C. Smith. He was employed by Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems in Decatur.
Survivors include one sister, Marcia Smith of Athens; and three brothers, Lewis Smith of Salem, Donny Smith of Huntsville and Mike Smith of Madison.
Hattie Mae Rice Townsend
Funeral for Hattie Mae Rice Townsend, 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Decatur, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bell Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Sam Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Bell Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Townsend died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, in Cincinnati. She was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Morgan County to Jessie and Essie Rice. She was a member of Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church before moving to Ohio. She was mother of the late Sam Rice and the late Bobbie Joe Townsend Jr.
Survivors include, her husband Bobbie Joe Townsend Sr.; nine sons, Robert Rainey and Antonio Townsend, both of Chicago, Calvin Rice of Decatur, and Carlton Townsend, Gerald Townsend, Elfego Townsend, Anthony Townsend, Austin Townsend and Bernard Townsend, all of Cincinnati; four daughters, Betty Smith of Chicago, and Diane Townsend Johnson, Bobbie Ann Townsend and Myra Hinknon, all of Cincinnati; one sister, Elizabeth Kennedy of Decatur; 40 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
Robert J. 'Bobby' Eskridge

Mr. Eskridge died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Louisville, Ky., to Henry and Lou Eskridge. He retired after 35 years as a maintenance worker at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was the widower of Joann Eskridge and Jennifer Kaye Eskridge, and the brother of the late Hershel "Buddy" Eskridge, Wendell Eskridge, Ronnie Eskridge and Raymond Eskridge.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Eskridge; four sons, Joey Eskridge of Trinity, Billy Joe Proctor and Josh Cottingham, both of Hillsboro, and James Cottingham of Moulton; five daughters, Melinda Hamby and Donna Pierce, both of Courtland, Marketta Archer of Speake, Chasitee Eskridge of Hillsboro and Vanessa Reeves of Moulton; one brother, Junior Eskridge of Indiana; two sisters, Lola Dean Hudson and Louise Morris, both of Louisville; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Terry, Tony Hill, Gary Stevenson, John Pierce, Eric Dotson, Shannon Breeding, Charles Archer and Carlton Dotson.
Goodyear employees of Department 4/3 will be honorary pallbearers.
James 'Jim' Green

Mr. Green died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1941, in Hardin County, Tenn., to Clarence and Bettie Green . He was a retired field engineer for Redstone Arsenal and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 361, Town Creek. He coached youth football at Hazlewood for 12 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Green ; two daughters, Donna Alexander and Angela Mojica, both of Town Creek; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Lovelady, Dewey Boston, Cecil McCreary, Charlie Coats, Floyd Shelton, Wendell Fayne and Steve Rogers.

Mrs. Haney died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, in Franklin, Tenn. She was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Limestone County. She was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ.

Mr. Dutton died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, in Tuscaloosa. He was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Lawrence County to Walter Dutton and Letha Dutton. He was a self-employed machinist and founder of Beltline Electric Motors. Mr. Dutton was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Dutton; one son, Michael Dutton of Moulton; two daughters, Judy Naylor of Trinity and Bonnie Halbrooks of Decatur; one sister, Evelyn Parker of Trinity; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
