Funeral arrangements for Bertha S. Bowen, 90, of Decatur, who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital, will be announced by Roselawn Funeral Home.

Roben Milton Hickman

ATHENS -- Funeral arrangements for Roben Milton Hickman, 89, of Athens, who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Athens-Limestone Hospital, will be announced by Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Virgil L. Kelley
52, millworker

Funeral for Virgil L. Kelley, 52, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Center Baptist Church in Trinity with the Rev. Timothy Harrison officiating.

Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Moulton. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mr. Kelley died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 19, 1947, in Morgan County. He was a millworker at Goodyear where he worked for 25 years. He was the son of the late Issac Kelley Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Kelley of Decatur; three brothers, Ernie David Kelley of Hartselle, Richard Issac Kelley Jr. of Falkville, and Howard Kelley of Moulton; and five sisters, Maxine Reed and Kathy Hobbs, both of Moulton, and Martha Humphrey, Judy Powell and Mona Kelley, all of Decatur.

His nephews and friends will be pallbearers.

Minnie Armenda McCullouch
75, Circle K clerk

TRINITY -- Funeral for Minnie Armenda McCullouch, 75, of Hartselle will be Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Caddo Congregational Church with Greg Standridge and James Anderton officiating.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 9 at Parkway Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCullouch died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1924, in Lawrence County to Levi and Annie Kitchens Burns.

She was a clerk at Circle K and a member of Caddo Congregational Church.

She is survived by one nephew, David Lee Burns of Hartselle; and four nieces, Carol Sims of Hartselle, Martha Burroughs of Madison, and Carolyn Vest and Debbie Burns, both of Moulton.Pallbearers will be the deacons of Caddo Congregational Church.

Ray Nelson
66, Decatur resident

PRICEVILLE -- Graveside service for Ray Nelson, 66, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Tabor Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Robershaw officiating and Priceville Funeral Home directing. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Nelson died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at home.

He was born May 24, 1933, in Birmingham.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Nelson of Lacey's Spring; two sons, David Nelson of Decatur and Stevie Goodwin of Lacey's Spring; one daughter, Charlotte Hillis of Lacey's Spring; one sister, Irene Aberry of Louisiana; and four grandchildren.

Jasper Earl Royer
87, former Sunday school teacher

Funeral for Jasper Earl Royer, 87, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Vickers and the Rev. Gene Langford officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Royer died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Nov. 8, 1912, in Lawrence County.

He was a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school for 45 years and held other church offices. He was a retired mechanic for the City of Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Vida Royer; one daughter, Venita Sybert of Huntsville; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

His nephews will be pallbearers. Members of the church Men's Club will be honorary pallbearers.

Toney Rayborn Glenn
Funeral for Toney Rayborn Glenn, 43, of Decatur will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive other family members tonight from 5 to 6 at the funeral home followed by friends from 6 to 9.

Mr. Glenn died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1955, in Morgan County. He was a member of Full Gospel Assembly Church and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Joseph Newton Fuller of Decatur; six sisters, Brenda Gail Young, Wendy Kay Sutton, Deborah Jean Lindsey, all of Decatur, Vickie Diane Sharbutt of Somerville, Doris Ann Milligan of Moulton and Tammy Sharon Hill of Trinity; his father, Herschel Rayburn Glenn of Morgan County; and his mother, Edith Blanche Glenn of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Horace Young Jr., Charles Sutton, Ray Milligan Jr., Robby Sharbutt, Israel Milligan, Lee Hill, Derek Lindsey and David Sutton.

Lula Mae Nixon
84, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Lula Mae Nixon, 84, of Athens will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Warren Glass officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nixon died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1915.

She attended Valley View Church of Christ. She was the widow of Henry P. Nixon and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Nixon of Orlando, Fla., and Harvey P. Nixon of Massillon, Ohio; one daughter, Betty Bradley of Jacksonville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Cynthia 'Kathy' Spiller
49, cook

Memorial service for Cynthia "Kathy" Spiller, 49, of Trinity will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Caudle officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Indiana.

Mrs. Spiller died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at Decatur. She was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Joliet, Ill. She was a cook at J&L Shell and Champion International Canteen. She was the widow of Daniel Spiller I and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, William Spiller of Cape Coral, Fla., and Daniel Spiller II of Lake Station, Ind.; her mother, Kay Moody of Lake Station; two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

James Elden Fleming
80, antique dealer

ATHENS -- Funeral for James Elden Fleming, 80, of Athens will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Warren Glass officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Fleming died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1919, in Tennessee. He was a retired antique dealer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by one son, James Donny Fleming of Athens; two sisters, Laura Holt and Mildred Kurczi, both of Athens; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Danny Holt, Larry Holt, Mike Holt, Keith Holt, Lee Holt and Jack Mullins.

Toney Rayborn Glenn
