Graveside service for Merritt D. Poole, 81, of Clinton, Tenn., will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Abbott officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Poole died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at Windwood Nursing Home in Clinton. He was born May 29, 1918, in Morgan County to Charles A. Poole and Emily Baker-Poole. He was a member of Masonic Alpha Lodge No. 376 and Andersonville United Methodist Church. He was the former owner of Faener Corp., a structural steel fabrication plant in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Rogers Poole of Andersonville, Tenn.; two sons, Roger Poole of Decatur and Larry Poole of Andersonville; one brother, Ernest Poole of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Callie Marie Spivey

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Callie Marie Spivey, 85, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at West Community Church in Hartselle with Rev. Michael Gunter officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Spivey died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1914, in Lawrence County to Jim and Mariah Harris Gailey. She was a homemaker and a member of West Community Church in Hartselle. She was the widow of Bejamin Olan Spivey and the mother of the late Guy Spivey and Oleane McMillian.
She is survived by one grandson, Jimmy McMillian of Hartselle; three granddaughters, Vicki Moore and Kathy Henley, both of Decatur, and Charlene Collins of Hartselle; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Buffkin, Bill Harris, Tony Howard, Jimmy Riddle, Edward Spivey and Dwight Tankersley.
James A. Winsett

Funeral for James A. Winsett, 83, of Oakville will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sharpley Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Winsett died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at his home. He was born May 28, 1916, in Morgan County to Albert and Ida Winsett. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired carpenter and a member of Oakville Christian Faith Center.
He is survived by two sons, James Kelly Winsett of Fork Union, Va., and Lavon Andrew Winsett; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Clement died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born June 18, 1914, in Savannah, Tenn., to Franklin and Ella Tacket McDonald. She attended Southside Baptist Church and was co-owner of Barney's Beef and Pork House. She was the widow of Barney Albert Clement.
She is survived by one grandson, Will Locklear of Decatur; one granddaughter, Britt Rawson of Hunts- ville; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Crider died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Woodland Hospital. She was born May 17, 1900, in Cullman County to William Crider and Frances White Crider. She was a retired cafe cook and school lunchroom cook. She had relatives living in Decatur.
She is survived by one daughter, Lela Margerine "Margie" Lee of Cullman; one brother, Berson Crider of Bessemer; and one granddaughter.

Mr. Ford died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Marshall Medical Center North. He was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Cullman County to Patrick Henry and Addie Johnson Ford. He retired as a truck driver for Youngblood Trucking and was a charter member of Arab First Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Ford; five sons, Mike Ford of Dacula, Ga., Bill Ford of Prattville, Jerry Briscoe of Lincoln Park, Mich., Gary Briscoe of Hartselle and Dan Briscoe of Birmingham; three daughters, Ann Watkins of Elmore, and Shirley Kritner and Kim Briscoe, both of Arab; one brother, Henry Ford of Albertville; two sisters, Tootsie Bates of Cullman and Burma Grubbs of Simcoe; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Tim Hale of Lexington; two daughters, Dean H. Parvin of Madison and Carol H. Dyar of Courtland; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harbin died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Crestwood Medical Center. He was born Feb. 17, 1938, in Madison County. He was a Baptist, a Vietnam War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Meadows of Russellville and Candy Aldridge of Georgia; his mother, Della Harbin of Huntsville; two brothers, Charles Harbin of Huntsville and Roy Harbin of the Wheeler community; one sister, Jean Gulley of Huntsville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hardin died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at home. He was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Lawrence County to Enos E. and Ilar Philips Hardin. He was pastor of Somerville Pentecostal Church and served as an evangelist for several area churches.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Hardin; three sons, Timothy Edward Hardin of Arley, Adam D. Pylant of Falkville and Michael D. Pylant of Danville; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Peters of Danville and Anita Darlene Russell of Falkville; four sisters, Claire Powell of Decatur, Zella Price of Double Springs, Edith Trocone of Huntsville and Retha Bowling of Hartselle; and six grandchildren.

She is survived by one brother, Lovell Herring of Hartselle.

Mrs. Hunt died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1955, in Mobile to Leonard and Lucille Dyess Kennedy. She worked in the business department at Hartselle Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Hunt; two daughters, Bridget M. Richerson of Stapleton and Jodie D. McDonald of Bay Minette; one stepson, Kendall Hunt of Hartselle; one stepdaughter, Debra McGlone of Clay City, Ky.; one brother, Byron Kennedy of Florida; one sister, Belinda Wiese of Mobile; and one granddaughter.
