Olivia Bullard Holloway,57, of 206 East Washington Street, Abbeville, Ala., died Monday night, July 1, 2002, at her home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Oakey Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Adams, the Rev. Pat Wilson and the Rev. Leslie D. Woodham Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Holman-Abbeville Mortuary directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. today at the church. Harland Macphail "Mac" Kimler, of 110 Geranium Circle, Midland City, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today, at Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. James Deese and the Rev. Paul Malory officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time today.

Phyllise Wanda Coleman, 82, a resident of Ozark Nursing Facility, died there June 30, 2002, following an extended illness. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Coy Fleeman and the Rev. T. P. Martin officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel following the services on Thursday.

Thomas "Tom" C. Todd, 73, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Friday, June 28, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2002, at First Church of the Nazarene with inurnment to follow at 1:45 p.m. at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Mrs. Flora Belle Dusch, 81, of Washington County Convalescent Center in Chipley, Fla., (formerly of Ashford, Ala.) passed away Monday, July 1, 2002. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Kent-Thornton Funeral Home with the Rev. Marrell Turvin officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Kent-Thornton Funeral Home directing. The family will be received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Shirley Ann "Sam" Mitchell Pacheco, 52, of Ozark died from an extended, courageous battle with cancer at her home, Tuesday, July 2, 2002. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, at the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral home with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Lynwood Rutland, 78, of John C. Wells Rd., Daleville, Ala., died Monday morning, July 1, 2002, at the family residence after a brief illness. Mrs. Estelle Blythers of Dothan died Saturday, November 23, 2002, at Wesley Manor Retirement Home in Dothan. She was 95. The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Headland, with Rev. C.S. Pope officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Levite Funeral Home directing. Robert Fain Bonner, of 682 Jones Road, Newton, died early Monday morning, November 25, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness. She was 59. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Hood and Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Mr. Robert "R.J." Creech died Saturday, November 23, 2002, in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. He was 74. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in the Pleasant Grove A.M.E.Z. Church in Ozark with the Rev. Willie M. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Midland City. Trawick Ozark Funeral Home, 774-8374, is in charge of arrangements. Jean K. Lund, born September 28, 1916, in Sunnyvale, California, died on November 23, 2002, in Dothan, Alabama. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Christopher Lee Mathews of the New Hope Community in Holmes County died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Coffee County. He was 33. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Lindsey Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Methodist Church Cemetery with Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funera Home in Geneva.

Mr. Robert A. Purvis, a resident of 647 Purvis Road, Slocomb, (Malvern Community) died Sunday morning, November 24, 2002, at the family residence after an extended illness. He was 84. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today in the Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Malvern Baptist Church. Mrs. Margaret Taylor of Route 8, Box 502, Frank Marshall, Ozark, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. She was 65. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Ozark. The body will be placed in the church two hours before the service. The Rev. H.J. Fitchard will officiate. Interment will be at Traveler's Rest Cemetery in Ozark.

Earl Hillman Waddell, of 392 Westgate Parkway, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at Mariner Health Care of Bonifay after a brief illness. She was 90. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2002, at Memory Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joe Johnson officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. Mr. Henry Holland Walters of Coffee Springs died Monday, November 25, 2002, at his home. He was 77. Mrs. Wanda E. Coleman of Enterprise died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 4, 2002, in Enterprise after a brief illness. She was 94. Mr. Ted Alex Courtney Sr., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was 59. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2002 at Snowhill A.M.E. Methodist Church in Malone, Fla., with Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. Willye Reeves Andress Marcelius of Daleville died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at her home in Daleville. She was 87. Mr. David Malcolm Messick, a resident of Vaughn Towers, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at his residence. He was 60. Clara Agnes Blaum Roberts, a lifelong resident of Dothan, died Dec. 3, 2002, at Thomas Hospital, after residing the past year at the home of her daughter in Daphne. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Dothan chapel with the Rev. Bob Gross and Dr. Samuel Maddox officiating. Elinor Owens Vickers of Pinar Health Center in Orlando, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002. She was 93. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ashford City Cemetery in Ashford with the Rev. Daniel Randall officiating and Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. James G. (Gregg) Watson of South Park Avenue in Dothan passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002. He was 48. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home. George Wallace Thomas, 79, of Enterprise died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at his daughter’s home in Enterprise. The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cliff Quincey and the Rev. Larry Doster officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.

Jeffery Gene “Peanut” Bush Jr., infant son of Jeffery Gene and Bridgett Glover Bush of Newton, died early Tuesday morning, July 30, 2002, at Dale Medical Center. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at the Harpers Joy Assembly of God Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eloise Pippen officiating and Ward-Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Russell Scott McAllister, 45, died July 29, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near his home in Hamilton, Ga. A memorial service will be held Sunday at Lafayette Street Methodist Church. The Rev. Randy Woodham will officiate. Mr. McAllister's ashes will be returned to his parents' home and will be placed next to his wife's. Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton will handle the arrangements. Clyde Reese, 51, of 4002 Richland Road, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Byrd Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hollmon officiating. Burial will follow at New Miranda Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing.

Patricia (Pat) Hardin Gordon, 67, of Cottonwood made a final journey to heaven to spend eternity with her Lord Jesus after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at her home at dawn Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, with her family at her side. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Gainous and the Rev. Gillis Crenshaw officiating.
