Doris McGriff Moring, a resident of North Koonce Street, Columbia, died Monday morning, March 24, 2003, in a Dothan hospital. She was 85. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in the First Baptist Church of Columbia with Rev. Robert Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia City Cemetery with Holman-Headland Mortuary directing. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday in the parlor of the First Baptist Church. Holman-Headland Mortuary, 334-693-3371, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James R. Morris, a resident of Glenwood Street, Dothan, died Saturday March 22, 2003 at Extendicare Health Care following an extended illness. He was 81. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Wiregrass Hospice Chaplain Paul Cowley officiating and Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing. Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home, 889-4194, is in charge of arrangements.

Michael Todd Odom, of Willow Glen Drive in Blakely, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Blakely, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 35. The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with burial in the Blakely Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Lee will officiate. Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, 229-723-3421, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Richard K. Reaves of Dothan, Alabama, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center Dothan. He was 86. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. today at Grant Chapel AME Church, Ashford, Alabama with Rev. James Redding officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Levite Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. Levite Funeral Home, 334-794-5036, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Graham Wayne (Arkansas) Smith of Dothan died peacefully at his home Saturday, March 22, 2003. He was 66. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Ernest O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with Kent-Thorton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 25, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-1117, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James Andrew Sullivanof Green wood Dr. died Monday March 24, 2003 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 83. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing. Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home, 334-792-4194, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henry Thomas, of Daleville, died Monday March 24, 2003. He was 73. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva. Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, 334-684-2600, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Daisy Ruth Watford Watkins of Hodgesville Rd. died Monday, March 24, 2003 at her residence following a brief illness. She was 75. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with Reverends John Thomas and Bobby Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Mt. Enon Baptist Church, 3167 Iris Rd. Dothan, Alabama 36301, or Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Alabama 36302. Ralph K. Williams of Enterprise died Sunday, March 23, 2003, in Enterprise. He was 93. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hubert McWaters officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Searcy Funeral Home, 334-347-2517, is in charge of arrangements.

Lindon O'Neal Bostick of Long Beach, Miss., died at his home March 27, 2003. He was 59. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 31 at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Ala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Marie E. Phillips Crooms of Barber Court, Dothan, passed away at her residence Wednesday, March 26, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 79. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with the Rev. Wallace Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Ricky Edward Hall of East State Highway 52, Hartford, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at University of South Alabama Hospital in Mobile from a massive stroke. He was 44. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at First Baptist Church in Geneva with Pastor Chris Adam officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. The body will be brought to the church one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Hosie Johnson of Graceville, Fla., died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Campbellton-Graceville Hospital in Graceville. He was 83. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at New Easter Missionary Baptist Church in Graceville, Fla., with the Rev. Price Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Graceville Community Cemetery.

Ms. Kizmick "Kizzy" Tonyaa Johnson of Dothan died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 23. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at North Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Leonard Jr. officiating and special speaker, Dominique Maxwell. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Johnson will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time today.

Mr. William Royce Johnson of Cottonwood Road, Dothan, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at his residence following a brief illness. He was 62. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home, 334-792-4194.

James Chayson Kennedy, infant son of Scott Kennedy and Ashley Sellars of Columbia, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at University Hospital in Birmingham. Private graveside services will be at Columbia City Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Barber officiating.

Mrs. Ivy Kilpatrick of Geneva died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Wiregrass Nursing Home. She was 72. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, 334-898-7141.

Mrs. Maxie Martin of West Commerce Street, Hartford, died Wednesday evening, March 26, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva after an extended illness. She was 87. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at First Assembly of God Church in Hartford with the Rev. Glenn Tate and the Rev. Lloyd Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Sorrells Funeral Home. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time.

Thelma Ruth Nolin Senn of Brundidge died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Pike Manor Health Care Center in Troy. She was 84. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ in Brundidge with Minister Chris Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service.

Ligon Thomas Solomon, II, of Dothan died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, March 27, 2003, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. He was 58. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. J. Walker Epps Jr. and the Rev. Charles W. Price Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of Marvin and Ethel Riley, 114 Walden Pond Road, Headland. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Geneva. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.

Evelyn LaDell Wills of Eufaula died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan after a brief illness. She was 85. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Hines officiating.

Mrs. Ruth K. Baucom of Tung Oil Road, Kinston (Hacoda Community), and formerly of Ft. Myers, Fla., died Wednesday morning, March 26, 2003, at the family residence after an extended illness. She was 88. Funeral services will be in Fort Myers, Fla., with Harvey-Englehardt-Metz Funeral Home conducting. Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva, 334-684-9999, is in charge of local arrangements.

Inez Weems Bowen of Abbeville and also of Columbus, Ga., died late Tuesday afternoon, March 25, 2003, at her residence in Abbeville after an extended illness. She was 83. Graveside services were 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Abbeville Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ray S. Reiley officiating and Holman-Abbeville Mortuary directing.

Sandra Condon Culpepper of Dothan died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Auburn. She was 62. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Byrd Funeral Home. Mr. Billy Sherrel McDougald of Johnson Lakes Road, Westville, Fla., (Oak Grove Baptist Church Community) died Wednesday morning, March 26, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical center after a brief illness. He was 64. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Omar Deen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
