Frank Mizelle (Mott) Eich of Vickrey Drive, Abbeville, died Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2003, at Ozark Nursing Facility following a short illness. He was 88. A complete obituary and a list of survivors will be announced by Holman-Abbeville Mortuary of Abbeville, 334-585-5261.

Mrs. Annie Mae Hoffman Herring of Irwin Street, Dothan, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at her residence. She was 98. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Brassell and the Rev. Billy Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 1011 Irwin St., Dothan, Ala. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302, or Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 423 E. Cottonwood Road, Dothan, Ala. 36301.

Ethel Mae Kines of Sanitary Dairy Road, Ashford, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, March 15 at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Pansey with the Rev. Larry France, pastor, and the Rev. F.L. Varner officiating. Burial will follow in the Lillie Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Lily Rees Long of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Feb. 13, 2003. She was 85. Funeral services may be obtained by calling Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, 334-684-2600.

Willie C. Morris of Geneva passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at her home in Geneva. He was 72. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Calvary Baptist Church in Geneva with the Rev. Maurice Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m . Friday at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Gary Jackson Phillips of Geneva died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Wiregrass Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 86. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Friday at the funeral home. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.

CW4 (retired) John Popovich Sr. of Dublin, Ga., died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, after an extended illness. He was 68. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Calvary Baptist Church, Hwy. 319, East Dublin, Ga. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga., with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 215, Dublin, Ga. 31040.

Mrs. Catherine Rebecca Bryan Spurlin of Sunset Boulevard in Elba died Thursday in Montgomery. She was 87. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Elba. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hayes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alabama Baptist Children's Home.

Rudolph (Rudy) Thomas Jr. of Green sboro, Ala., and formally of Enterprise died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, after a brief illness. He was 49. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John McCrummen officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Gerald M. Walsh of Dothan and a former resident of Sharon, Pa., died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at his residence after a brief illness. He was 63. A wake service will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Father Bill Nguyen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.. until service time on Saturday evening.

Octavy Day, of Peacock Road, Webb, went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, March 9, 2003 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 88 years old. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. today in the Southern Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wallace Dukes and Rev. Gary Younkers officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. The family will be at the home of Ricky and Patty Cox, 60 Peacock Road, Webb.

Jean Fite of Bellwood, Ala., died Monday, March 10, 2003 at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. She was 75. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Cliff Quincey officiating and Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing.

Roy (Whittie) Eugene Gosset of Dothan died Saturday, March 8, 2003 at Flowers Hospital. He was 79. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Mark Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at Moore's Chapel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Alvin Skipper, the Rev. Al Norris and Wiregrass Hospice Chaplain Talmadge Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Newton City Cemetery

Patsy R. Nichols of Chancellor, Ala. passed away Monday, March 10, 2003 at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. She was 61. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Michael German and Rev. Janet German officiating. Mrs. Mattie B. Norton of Webb Road in Dothan passed Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Washington County Convalescent Center in Chipley, Fla. She was 95. Funeral arrangements will announced later by Levite Funeral Home of Dothan.

Minnie M. Warmack died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at her home in Abbeville. The funeral will be 1 p.m. CST on Wednesday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Abbeville. Burial will be in the St. Micheal's A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Clopton. Visitation will be 2-8 tonight at Lewis Mortuary.

T.E. "Mickey" McGowan, of Waycross, Ga., died early Saturday morning at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 81. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church with burial in Green lawn Cemetery.

Jewel Grace Price of Louisville died Saturday, March 8, 2003 at her home. She was 74. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Louisville with Rev. Howard Scott and Rev. RC Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the funeral today.
