Mrs. Shirley Patricia Anglin Dykes of Ozark died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at her residence. She was 66.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Ewell Bible Baptist Church with Pastor David Lewis and Pastor G.L. Wynn officiating. Burial will be at Ewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark.

Mrs. Norma Ann Dean Eddins of Dothan died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Extendicare Hospice Services Facility. She was 77.A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Sylvia M. Granger, formerly of Hartford, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Mariner Healthcare in Bonifay, Fla., after an extended illness. She was 92.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Hartford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herb Alberson officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ruby Spivey Justice, a resident of Wiregrass Nursing Home, died April 13, 2003, following an extended illness. She was 88.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at First Baptist Church of Geneva with Dr. Chris Adams and the Rev. Michael J. Lawler officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Justice will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, First Methodist Church or the American Arthritis Foundation.

Mr. David Lampley passed Sunday, April 13, 2003, at a local hospital. Funeral services and a list of survivors will be announced later by Allen Funeral Home of Dothan.

Surrounded by her loving family, Mary Landers Morris of Dothan passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. She was 87. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 18 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Lawson Bryan officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Byrd Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at 603 N. Iroquois. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions in Mrs. Morris's name may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., Dothan, Ala. 36303.

Roslind Louise Skipper Oder of Dothan passed away late Monday night, April 14, 2003, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark following an extended illness. She was 77. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Brassell officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. (Wednesday) at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Lois Phelps Owens, a life-long resident of Montgomery, died Monday, April 14, 2003. She was 73. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Green wood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UAB Division of Gyn/Oncology Research Fund, 619 19th St. S., OHB #538, Birmingham, Ala. 35249-7333, or to Health Care Odyssey, 1345 Carmichael Way, Montgomery, Ala. 36106.

Ms. Nobie Lee Peters of Newton died Sunday night, April 13, 2003, at Flowers Hospital after an extended illness. She was 86. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Christian Home Church of Christ with Minister Mark Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Ms. Peters will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time Wednesday.

Mrs. Arlene S. Pullum, a resident of Oakview Manor Nursing Home in Ozark and formerly of Enterprise, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in Ozark. She was 85. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise.

Mrs. Margaret Culver Robinson of Glenwood Street, Dothan, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness. He was 74. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Danford officiating. Burial will follow at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1619 S. Park Ave., Dothan, Ala. 36301.

Jimmy Keel Ross of Dothan died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Extendicare Health Center after a short illness. He was 58. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at Dothan City Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Byrd Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mr. Ross' daughter, Dana and John Bell, 811 Limestone Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Hilda Andrews of Clayhatchee died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at her home in Clayhatchee. She was 95. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to service time.

Mrs. Sally A. Barbosza of Enterprise died Wednesday evening, April 16, 2003, in Enterprise. She was 80. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Fox Fleming officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time to depart for the cemetery Friday at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 310900, Enterprise, Ala. 36331-0900.

Funeral services for Ms. Jean Bryant will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Unity Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with Prophetess Christine Sherman officiating. Interment will be at Dothan City Cemetery. Public viewing will be 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cortez "Bud" Buxton of Enterprise died, Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 72. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the funeral home.

Mr. Leon Carter passed away at his home Sunday night, April 13, 2003, following a long illness. He was 72. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Good Hope Baptist in Samson with the Rev. Wilson Yelverton officiating. Burial will follow at Samson City Cemetery. Mr. Carter will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will have dinner at the church following services.

Mrs. Evelyn Dawkins of Ozark died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Ozark Nursing Facility. She was 74. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Trawick Funeral Home of Ozark, 774-8374.

Gladys Hough Doyle of the 3100 Block of East Game Farm Road, Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday while at the Jackson County Convalescent Center. She was 84. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Bonifay, Fla.

Dr. John A. Edwards of Dothan went home to be with his Lord Thursday, April 17, 2003. He was 77. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim McNeil, the Rev. Glenn Poston and Dr. Larry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John A. Edwards Memorial Library, c/o First Free Will Baptist Church, 1461 Timbers Drive, Dothan, Ala. 36301.

Eloise Arant Ellis of Birmingham died April 16, 2003, at Brookwood Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 81. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19 with graveside services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Big Oak Ranch in Glencoe, Ala., c/o John Croyle, director.

Louie Van Forehand of County Road 49, Headland, died Thursday, April 17, 2003. He was 48. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Holman-Headland Mortuary.

Isabel Nancy Reynolds Hagan of Eddins Road, Dothan, passed away Wednesday night, April 16, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 21 at Murdock Funeral Home Chapel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with burial to follow. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. (Friday) at Southern Heritage Funeral Home parlors in Dothan.

Mr. Thomas Eugene Haney of Samson died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 67. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Liberty Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pittman Funeral Homes of Geneva.

Mr. Richard Lee Hayes Jr. of Cynthia Drive, Dothan, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in the emergency room at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 24. Mrs. Lonice Marie Evans Johnson of Ozark died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 50. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Revs. Linda Hayes and Gene Williams officiating.

Floyd Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home. The body will be place in the church one hour prior to services.

Mr. Ernest P. Lisenby of Opp died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Opp Hospital. He was 85. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Keahey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Flowers will be accepted.

Ann Mayes of Seventh Avenue, Ashford, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 46.

Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Dothan. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Levite Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Bessie West, a resident of Wesley Manor, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Wesley Manor. She was 82. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kinsey with Hospice Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of daughter, Linda and Mike Dunning, 104 Gloster Court, Dothan.
