Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Austin Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

William Jerome Foxworth of Dothan died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-3003.

Darris Wayne Hughes of Wicksburg died Wednesday morning, April 28, 2003, at his residence. He was 46. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Geneva County with the Rev. Thomas Harrison officiating.

Byron Johnson of Valley Forge Road, Dothan, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 26. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Brandon K. Marshall, pastor, officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Mildred Kennedy of North Main Street, Columbia, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Fla. She was 88. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home of Ashford, 334-899-1117.

Marshall Codie McCormick of Geneva passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident in Walton County just north of DeFuniak Springs, Fla. He was 20. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with the Rev. Wilbur Williams and the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Leddon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rex McDougald of Black passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 77. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with the Rev. Frank McIntosh and the Rev. Jerry McAdams officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Creek Assemblie of God Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dr. Robert Olon Norton Jr., M.D., native of Louisville, Ala., and longtime resident of New York City, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark. He was 82. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at Clio United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Phillips and the Rev. Randy Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Louisville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Keahey Funeral Home, 1411 Blue Springs Street, Clio, Ala. 36017.

Mr. Antonio Patterson of Dothan passed Saturday, April 26, 2003. He was 23. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Northview Christian Church, 233 Bic Road, Dothan, with Pastor Hart Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Dothan City Cemetery. Mr. James Pearson, formerly of Garden Estates, Dothan, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan after an extended illness. He was 66. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Ashford with Judy Dyson officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Donnie and Becky Goff, 4331 Jordon Ave., Cowarts.

Pete Robertson of Daleville died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at his residence in Daleville. He was 51. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 2 at Daleville Baptist Church with Dr. James Kilpatrick and Brother Chad Driggers officiating. Robert Carl Serball of Peters Road, Slocomb, died early Tuesday morning, April 29, 2003, at his residence. He was 71. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1 at First United Methodist Church of Slocomb with the Rev. Stanley Carter officiating. Gary Lee Stensland of McClendon Drive, Abbeville, died Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2003, in the emergency room of a Madison, Fla., hospital. He was 54. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 at Abbeville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Kelly officiating. Graveside services will follow at 11:15 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens of Eufaula. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary in Abbeville. Brooke Lianne Hudgens of Arrowhead Drive, Enterprise (Gateway), died Thursday evening, May 1, 2003, near Crawfordville, Ga., (I-20) from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was 18.Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday from the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Mack Amis officiating and the Rev. Fox Fleming giving the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time. Billy Joe Homola of Dothan died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an accidental fall. He was 72. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Thomas B. Peel and other family members speaking. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time. Flowers are being accepted. At all other times, the family will be at the family home at 308 Pearce Street in Dothan. Bonnie Kennington of Enterprise died Thursday, May 1, 2003, in the Medical Center Enterprise in Enterprise, Ala. Pearl Kirkland, a resident of Perry, Ga., formerly of Ashford, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Perry Hospital. She was 88 years old. Wendy Jeannette West of Osceola Avenue, Dothan, died Thursday, May 1, 2003. She was 38. Arthur Lee Cash, Jr, of 507 West Adams Street in Dothan, died Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Westside Terrace following an extended illness. Samuel Joe Davis s life ended Sunday, May 4, 2003 at his home at 220 Park Gate Road in Gaffney, South Carolina. He was 56. He was the husband of Carol C. Davis and the son of Sarah S. Davis of Charleston, S.C. and the late C.W. Davis and was a graduate of Dothan High School, Troy State University and Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.The family will hold a private memorial service Monday, May 5, 2003 at 4 p.m. officiated by Troy Gregg and Rev.
