Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Mr. S.T. Dixon of Ashford (formerly of Cottonwood) passed Friday, June 27, 2003. He was 59. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Oakley Grove Baptist Church, Ashford, with Rev. Zibbie L. Dawsey, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at McChapel Cemetery, Malone, Fla., with Levite Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be today from 2:30-5 p.m. at the funeral home in parlor B.

Mr. Marvin J. Dunn of Ozark died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at his residence following a long illness. He was 78. The funeral will be Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. The Reverend Randy Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8 tonight.

Johnnie Harold Elmore of Midtown Apartments in Midland City, died Monday, June 30, 2003. He was 59. Complete arrangements and a list of survivors will be announced later by Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Harold Harrison of West English Street in Samson died Friday, June 27, 2003, in the Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva from an apparent heart attack. He was 60. The graveside funeral will be 10 a.m. today in the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Harrison will officiate. Pittman Funeral Home of Samson is in charge of arrangements.

John Henry Hornsby of Enterprise died Saturday, June, 28, 2003, in Caryville, Fla. He was 57. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the Earlytown Church of Christ with the Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The body of Mr. Hornsby will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. Searcy Funeral Home of Enterprise is in charge of arrangements.

De Thi Le died June 28, 2003, at her residence on Dixie Drive. She was 50. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Saint Columba Church with Father Bieu Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and also from 3-6 p.m. on Friday.

Mr. Billy Curtis Newman of Ozark died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Dale Medical Center. He was 69. Visitation will be held from Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home from 5-7 tonight with family receiving friends during this time.

David Patrick Reynolds of Tonawanda Drive in Dothan passed from this Earth early Monday morning at his residence. He was 58. His passing occurred after a very brief illness. Graveside services will be held at Memory Hill on Wednesday, July 2, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home today between 6 and 8 p.m. Flowers will be warmly accepted at the funeral home. All memorial contributions are requested to be given to Wiregrass Hospice or Northside Methodist Church.

Mrs. Marie Sadler Roberts of Clio died Sunday. She was 90. The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Clio Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pea River Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Keahey Funeral Home of Clio is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn Grace Adams Siler of Fourth Avenue died Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Complete arrangements and a list of survivors will be announced later by Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home.

Merle Tidwell Smith, a resident of East Main Street, Headland, died Sunday afternoon, June 29, 2003, at her home following an extended illness. She was 76. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Holman-Headland Mortuary chapel. The Reverend T. P. Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Headland. Holman-Headland Mortuary of Headland, is in charge of arrangements.

Geneva May Watford, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, June 27, 2003 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 83. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. today at Big Creek United Methodist Church with the Reverends Gillis Crenshaw and Earl Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Watford will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time today.

Harold Harrison, of 201 W. English Street in Samson, Alabama, died Friday June 27, 2003 in the Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva from an apparent heart attack. He was 60.Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at 10 a.m. from the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with the Rev. Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mr. John Henry Hornsby, of Caryville, FL and formerly of Enterprise, AL, died on Saturday, June 28, 2003 in Panama City, FL. He was 57.Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Searcy Funeral Home.

Wallace Tooney Pipkin, a resident of 1200 Conti Road in Dothan, died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the Jackson County Convalescent Center in Graceville following an extended illness. He was 75. Funeral services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at the Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Reynolds and Sollie Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing.

Marie Sadler Roberts, of Clio, Alabama, died June 29, 2003. She was 90. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Clio Baptist Church in Clio, with the Rev. Curtis Rich officiating.

Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Headland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.

Adolph Trawick, a resident of 173 Hughes Drive, died Friday June 27, 2003 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 76. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at the United Pentecostal Church with Brother Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing.

Jennifer Johnson Bass of Gordon died June 24, 2003 at Flowers Hospital. She was 45. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Penton of First United Methodist Church of DeFuniak Springs officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, Fla. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Byrd Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions in Jennifer's honor may be made to a favorite charity.

Janis Claire Moseley Bentley of Southside died Sunday, June 22, 2003. She was 53. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Collier-Butler Chapel in Gadsden with Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Dothan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Byrd Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Vineyard Gadsden for the Jan Bentley Arts Memorial Project.

Johnnie Gertrude Box, a resident of Wesley Manor and formerly a resident of the Corinth Church Community near Slocomb, died at Wesley Manor, Tuesday, June 24, 2003. She was 92. Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Thursday, June 26 at Big Creek United Methodist Church with Dr. Walter Reeder and the Rev. Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of her son, Charles Raymond Box, 1424 County Road 60, Slocomb. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 27 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Sandy officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at James & Lipford Funeral Home.

Mr. Lex Day of Frostproof, Fla. and Black, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 79. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Black Holliness Church in Black with the Rev. Phil Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, Fla., with Marion Nelson Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford.

Dylan Skyler Driver of West Inez Road, Dothan, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. He was 3. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 27 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with the Rev. Keener Batchlor officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mary Imogene Ford died Monday, June 23, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 73. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at Northside Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Roy Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions in Mary Ford's name may be made to Northside Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 2848 Denton Road, Dothan, Ala. 36303.

Dudley Cooper Holley of Enterprise died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at his home in Enterprise. He was 56. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating. Burial will follow.

Mrs. Gertha Mae Kelley Ingebrigtsen of County Road 665, Coffee Springs, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at the family residence after an extended illness. She was 83. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at Coffee Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Green and the Rev. Don Falgout officiating. Burial will follow at Coffee Springs Cemetery. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time.

Mr. Roy Go-Go McCallister of the Holy Neck Community in Marianna, Fla., passed Tuesday evening, June 24, 2004, at Campbellton-Graceville Hospital. He was 55. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Fla., 850-263-6834.

Mrs. Susan J. Meredith of Graceville, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Campbellton-Graceville Hospital in Graceville, Fla., after a sudden illness. She was 61. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at James & Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edwin Bell officiating. Cremation will follow.
