Mrs. Minnie B. Crumpler of Enterprise died Monday, July 7, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 91. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery.

Mr. C.E. Dowling of the Wicksburg community died Monday night, July 7, 2003, at his residence. He was 76. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Hood and the Rev. Robert Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Janice (Brown) Johnson of Kinsey passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 50. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, July 10 at Gardens of Memory in Dothan.

Trina Annette Nall of Prattville passed away Monday, July 7, 2003. She was 60. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with Elder Jerry Abernathy, Elder James Powell, Brother Wayne Nall and Brother Richard Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prattville Primitive Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Elder Jerry Abernathy, 272 E. Main St., Prattville, Ala. 36067.

Mr. Marcus Michael (Mike) Nolen of Red Level died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in an automobile accident. He was 43. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Deborah Anne Taylor of Tacoma Street, Dothan, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at her residence. She was 59. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 11 at Covenant United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75244 (www.komen.org) or Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Alma West, a resident of Hartford Health Care, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Flowers Hospital. She was 84. According to Mrs. West's wishes, she will be cremated. No immediate funeral services are planned.

U.S. Army SGT (E-5) Timothy Michael Conneway of Fort Benning, Ga., and formerly of Enterprise, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, in Baghdad, Iraq. He was 22. Tentative funeral services will be Tuesday, July 8. Funeral arrangements and survivors are incomplete and will be announced by Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise, 334-347-9598.

Mr. Johnnie Haril Elmore of Midtown Apartments, Midland City, died Monday, June 30, 2003, at his residence. He was 59. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at Judah Cemetery in Pinckard with the Rev. Doug Seale officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Leamon Wesley Herring of County Road 610, Enterprise, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Flowers Hospital after an extended illness. He was 85. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5 at New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Quincy officiating. Burial will follow at New Home cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Flora Mae Holt of Livonia, Mich., (formerly of Enterprise), died Tuesday, July 2, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia, Mich. She was 93. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Searcy Funeral Home, 334-347-2517.

De Thi Le died Friday, June 28, 2003, at her residence on Dixie Drive. She was 50. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5 at Saint Columba Church with Father Bieu Nguyen. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Byrd Funeral Home.

Mickey Thomas Miller of Madrid passed away early Tuesday morning, July 1, 2003, at his residence after an extended illness. He was 69. In memory of him, a graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at Ashford City Cemetery with a hospice chaplain officiating.

Roger Dell Motley of Coffee Springs passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Southeat Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 42. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at Elbethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Chemblee officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 1:50 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Citizens Bank, 515 Commerce St., Geneva, Ala. 36340.

Frederick William Radford of Dothan died Monday, July 1, 2003, at his residence. He was 83. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Pastor Ted Richter officiating. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 207 W. Adams St., Dothan, Ala. 36303.

Earl Rivers of Dothan passed away early Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 70. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wade Register officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mr. Clarence Smithart died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at a Florida hospital. He was 93. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia, 334-222-8440.

Luther Jackson Stevens of South County Road 67, between Midland City and Echo, died Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2003, at Ozark Health & Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. He was 90. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 4 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Peters and Dr. Donald Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Holman-Headland Mortuary directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Enon Baptist Church, c/o Charles Stevens, 3478 S. County Road 67, Midland City, Ala. 36350.

U.S. Army Ret. Chief Warrant Officer 3 (P) Michael L. Allen of Robin Lane, Enterprise, died Thursday evening, July 10, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise after an apparent heart attack. He was 60. A funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at St. John's Catholic Church in Enterprise with Father Joseph Wadas performing the ceremony. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 18 at Arlington National Cemetery.

Betty Helms Banks of Enterprise died Monday, July 14, 2003, at her home in Enterprise. She was 62. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Searcy Funeral Home. Private services will be at a later date.

Christa Dorothea (Schlegelmilch) Boesen of Vita Street, Daleville, died Monday morning, July 14, 2003, at Extendicare Hospice Services Facility. She was 62. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Endrihs and Pastor Ed Schaefer officiating. The family will be at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Lori Daprato, 1901 Prevatt Road, Dothan. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302, Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, Ala. 36303, American Cancer Society, 2345 W. Main St., Dothan, Ala. 36303 or Christ the King Lutheran Church, 208 E. Watts St., Enterprise, Ala. 36330.

Eloise C. Brown of Ozark Road, Newville, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at her residence after an extended illness. She was 67. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 at St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Headland with the Rev. G.L. Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Church Cemetery. Mrs. Brown will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.

Harry V. Crine Sr., of Charlton Drive, died early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 75. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Van Gauthe officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Crine will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 800 Montezuma Ave., Dothan, Ala. 36303.

Mrs. Christine Sylvia Daniels of Dothan died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 73. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17 at St. Columba Catholic Church in Dothan with Father Bieu Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Lou Oliver Glynn of Dothan died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Crowne Health Care in Eufaula, Ala. She was 86. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at Levite Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with Elder W.B. Crawford officiating. Burial will be at New Miranda Cemetery in Dothan. Visitation will be 2:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the chapel one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Tellie Hall, a resident of Extendicare, died Monday, July 14, 2003. She was 96. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Brenda Yon and the Rev. Sammy Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Robert Charles Hewes of Westville, Fla., died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center after an extended illness. He was 67. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17 at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Coleman and the Rev. Alvin Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
