Mr. George McNiel Jr. of Liberty Road, Pansey, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. He was 84. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Revs. James Miller and Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Ernest Dean Robinett of Clio died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at a Dothan hospital. He was 68. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 18 at Clio Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Rich officiating. Special music will be provided by Clio Baptist Church choir accompanied by Jimmie Nell Baxter. Interment will follow at Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Lovie Sport of Andalusia died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at a Mobile hospital. She was 82. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19 at Keahey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Sarah Starks of Dothan passed away Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2003, at Extendicare Hospice Services Facility after an extended illness. She was 62. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory of Dothan, 334-702-1712.

Daisy Barnes Thomas of County Road 28, Abbeville, died Thursday morning, July 17, 2003, at her home after a short illness. She was 97. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19 at Adoniram Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Barker, the Rev. Fred Barnes and the Rev. Jerry Worzella officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 207 W. Adams St., Dothan, Ala. 36301.

Mary Florence Turner of Mt. Vernon Lane died Thursday morning, July 17, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 61. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 1004 Montezuma Ave., Dothan, Ala. 36303 or the Kidney Foundation of Alabama, P.O. Ima Jean Williams of Headland passed away late Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2003, at her residence after an extended illness. She was 73. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory of Dothan

Mr. Thomas C. Black of Sequoyah Drive, Dothan, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Extendicare Hospice Services Facility after an extended illness. He was 89. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Van Gauthe officiating. Burial will follow at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 800 Montezuma Ave., Dothan, Ala. 36301, or Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Mr. William (Bill) Wallace Craddock of Newton died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at his home after a short illness. He was 81. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with the Rev. John W. Hicks officiating.

Mrs. Lessie V. Gilstrap of Geneva died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at Mariner Health of Bonifay, Fla., after an extended illness. She was 94. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel of Geneva with the Rev. Michael Lawler and the Rev. Ric Feeney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Pittman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lithel T. Goolsby of County Road 108, Ozark, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Friday morning, July 25, 2003, at her residence after a long illness. She was 73. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. W.L. Sheffield and the Rev. Randall Johnson officiating. Her body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.

Mr. Charles Edward Hinderliter Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Ozark, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Birmingham. He was 29. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Newton United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Newton City Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Newton United Methodist Church, King Street, Newton, Ala. 36322.

Mrs. Vera Irene Nowell McDaniel of 8th Avenue, Malone, Fla., died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at her residence after an extended illness. She was 92. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Ashford City Cemetery with the Revs. Kevin Burgess and James Rich officiating.

Dr. Alan M. Patterson of Westgate Parkway died early Thursday morning, July 24, 2003. He was 90. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Adrian Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Mr. C.A. " Tubby" Ostrom of Ozark died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident Tuesday afternoon near his home. He was 71. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Rhoades and the Rev. Ken Spivey officiating. Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery.

Mr. William C. "Bill" Davis of Clio died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at an Ozark hospital. He was 90. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery with full military honors with the Rev. Randy Adams and the Rev. Curtis Rich officiating. The family will be at the residence at 1165 Brundidge St., Clio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clio Rescue Squad or a charity of one's choice.

Bertha Lee Gamble Woodham, a resident of Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center, died there Friday, July 25, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 98. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Russell and the Rev. Gene Gainous officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Byrd Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 3257 E.
