Arkansas, Marriage Certificates, 1917-1972

Nancy June Belford
Nancy June Belford, 72, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Feb. 19, 2005, at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1933, in Reyno, Ark., to Freeman E. Belford and Una Johnston Belford.
She was a high school teacher and counselor. She received a bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and a master's degree in education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She taught in Eloy, Ariz., and Eureka Springs, Ark., for two years and substituted at Rogers (Ark.) High School for two years. She was an entrepreneur, and owned and operated Art Objects Unlimited in Rogers for eight years. She volunteered at Soul's Harbor Ministries in Rogers, Ark. She enjoyed spending time with her three dogs and three cats.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Belinda Turner of Memphis, Tenn., and Una Lucinda "Cyndi" Ayre and Andrew John Ayre of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Joe Pat Cockrum of Morenci, Ariz., and J.A. Quintero of Bella Vista, Ark.; three sisters, Freda Brown and Jeanne Simpson, both of Pocahontas, Ark., and Moina Barton of Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Joseph Jacob Cockrum and Jason Morrow.
A memorial service was held Feb. 25, at McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, Ark.
Cremation arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 5248, Bella Vista, AR 72714.

Kenneth McCool
Kenneth McCool, 47, of Washburn, Mo., died Feb. 21, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 9, 1957, in Bentonville, Ark., to Sherman Beecher McCool and Julia Maxine Laughlin McCool.
He married Leisa Yvonna Frank on June 26, 1998, in Bentonville, Ark. He was a self-employed heavy-equipment operator for many years, and owned and operated Mountain Meat Processing. He enjoyed nature, animals, being outdoors and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Julia McCool; a brother, Joe Don McCool; and a nephew, Dusty Funk.
Survivors include his wife, Leisa McCool; a daughter and son-in-law, Christina Marie Lester and Reece Lester of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two stepsons, Andrew Gundel and Samuel Gundel, both of Seligman, Mo.; two brothers, Sherman Hofacker of Sulphur Springs, Ark., and Gary McCool of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and three sisters, Judy Chambers of Pea Ridge, Ark., Nelda Funk of Hiwasse, Ark., and Darlene Hamilton of Sulphur Springs, Ark.
Graveside funeral services were held Feb. 24 at the Antioch Cemetery, north of Pea Ridge, Ark., with Brother Jamey Cope.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

Dr. John Fay Montroy
Dr. John Fay Montroy, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., died of complications after surgery Feb. 5, 2005, at Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales, Fla. He was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Le Roy, N.Y.
He was a physician. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Marian Alice Montroy.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Montroy; three daughters, Fay Vrana of Oklahoma City, Sharon Scofield of Baton Rouge, La., and Marilyn Blackmon of La Canada, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Rhine of Weatherford, Texas; a son, John Henry Montroy of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepsons, Robert W. Ritchie of Plano, Texas, and Gary L. Ritchie of Maui, Hawaii; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. March 5 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Ark., with the Rev. Father Andrew Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Scholarship Fund, in care of St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Way, Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Clarabelle Watson
Clarabelle Watson, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Feb. 19, 2005, while visiting family in Charlotte, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Bella Vista Community Church.

Donald Weigel
Donald Weigel, 62, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Guthrie Center, Iowa, died Feb. 13, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1942, in Carroll, Iowa, to Lloyd Weigel and Mary Ellen Gilson Weigel.
He married Evelyn Ayers on Jan. 24, 1965, in Ravenwood, Mo. He was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State College. He was a branch manager for Hudson Foods in Rogers, Ark. He was a member of American Legion Post 341 of Bella Vista. He was an avid fisherman and an accomplished craftsman, and enjoyed the outdoors and working with wood.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Weigel; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tim Weigel and Chris Weigel of Orlando, Fla., Kris Weigel and Melissa Weigel of Centerton, Ark., and Clint Weigel and Marla Weigel of Fayetteville, Ark.; three brothers, Lester Weigel of Martinsville, Mo., Lyle Weigel of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Sam Weigel of Harlan, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Madeline "Maddie" Weigel of Centerton, Ark.
Funeral services were held Feb. 17, at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany, Mo. Burial was at the Weaver Chapel Cemetery in Hatfield, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.

Lois Mary Robinson Drum
Lois Mary Robinson Drum, 83, of Bella Vista, died Nov. 22 at her home. She was born April 10, 1921, in La Crosse, Kan.
She married John V. Drum on July 12, 1941.
Survivors include her husband, John Drum; two children; and four grandchildren.
Private family services are pending.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Frederick C. Drummond
Frederick C. Drummond, 91, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Arlington. He was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Collinsville, Ill., to William Riley Drummond II and Mary E. Streuber Drummond.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Davis Drummond; two brothers, Edward J. Drummond and Bernard H. Drummond; and two sisters, Virginia M. Drummond and Elsie Drummond Bussmann.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Raczynski Drummond; five sons, Frederick C. Drummond II, Richard E. Drummond, Lawrence J. Drummond, Edward J. Drummond and Anthony G. Drummond; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Drummond Oren; a sister, Mary Helena Fleming; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Barton Drummond; a brother-in-law, Donald W. Bussmann; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood, Mo.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Bopp Chapel.
Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
Arrangements are by Wade Family Funeral Home of Arlington.
