Beverly Ann Miller

Beverly Ann Miller, 47, of Springdale, Ark., died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born April 6, 1959, in Springdale to George Sabatini and Christine Collins Sabatini.

She worked in the accounts department of Brass Eagle in Rogers, Ark. She enjoyed decorating and interior design.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Sabatini; and two brothers, Carl Gene Sabatini and Danny Paul Sabatini.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Miller; two sons, Eli Lawson of Grady, Ark., and Kory Lawson of Bentonville, Ark.; her mother, Christine Wolfe of Springdale; a brother, David Michael Sabatini of Rogers, Ark.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Kay Calvert and Dewey Calvert of Lowell, Ark.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 11, at the Rollins Funeral Chapel with Pastor Paul Milstead. Burial was at the Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Ark. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark. Priscilla Louise Shannon Priscilla Louise Shannon, 53, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 10, 1953, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Howard Ott Nye and Molly Joan Jiles Nye.

She was raised and educated in the Pea Ridge, Ark., area. She marriage Marlan Dale Shannon on Dec. 24, 1986, in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Shannon; and her parents, Howard and Molly Nye.

Survivors include her husband, Marlan Dale Shannon; two sons, Charles Requa of Garfield, Ark., and Gary Requa of Rogers; two daughters, Marlina Woods and Shawna Bond, both of Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers, Lester Nye of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Leck Nye of Rogers; three sisters, Emma Hurley and Thelma Mestrovich, both of Pea Ridge, and Gail Myers of Springdale, Ark.; and six grandchildren. No services were planned. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Bonnie Juanita Stark Spiering

Bonnie Juanita Stark Spiering, 82, of Sherwood, Ark., formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Ark. She was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Muskogee, Okla., to Jackson Forrest Stark and Frances Isabelle Blake Stark.

She moved to Wichita, Kan., with her family at an early age and attended schools in Wichita. She graduated from Wichita North School, then from St. Francis School of Nursing in December 1944. She was employed as a registered nurse at military and civilian hospitals, including more than 25 years at Veterans Administration hospitals, ending her career at Fort Snelling, Minn., in 1978.

She and her family moved to the Rogers, Ark., area from Bloomington, Minn., in 1978. They were active members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Spiering; a brother, Alvin Gene Stark; a sister, Peggie J. Foster; and a stepson, Leslie Howard Spiering.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Susanne Hulsey and James Hulsey of Sherwood; two stepsons, Larry J. Spiering of Miami, Fla., and Richard Spiering and his wife Diana Deay of Kansas City, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Carol Plummer and her husband Clarence Plummer of Overland Park, Kan.; three nieces and nephews; seven step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 10, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Loren Dale Bernett

Loren Dale Bernett, 59, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in Jefferson City, Tenn. He was born June 26, 1946, in Sparta, Wis., to Gale Henry Bernett and Wilma Florine Rogness Bernett.

He was a dairy farmer in Sparta before moving to Rogers in 1983. He was an over-the-road truck driver for Tyson Foods. He was a Vietnam War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Bernett; two sons, Bruce Beavers of Rogers and William Bernett of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Wilma Garvers of Black River Falls, Wis.; three brothers Brian Bernett, Jeffery Bernett and Dennis Bernett, all of Sparta, Wis.; a sister, Diane Bernett of New Jersey; and four grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Lottie M. Danielczyk

Lottie M. Danielczyk, 86, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Innisfree Skilled Nursing Center in Rogers. She was born July 21, 1919, in Chicago, Ill., to John Szmyd and Stella Mikos Szmyd.

She was a secretary and a switch board operator before retiring and moving to Rogers. She was an art lover and a member of many art guilds. She and her husband participated in horology in pictures. She was also a member of a dance club in Bella Vista, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Danielczyk; and a brother, Henry Szmyd.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Danielczyk Jr. and Judy Danielczyk of Prior Lake, Minn., and Kenneth Danielczyk and Barbara Danielczyk of Des Plaines, Ill.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Burial was at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Jimmie Grigg

Jimmie Grigg, 58, of Springdale, Ark., died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at his home. He was born May 30, 1947, in Springdale to Ottie S. Grigg and Tina Rachel Rogers Grigg.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He raised registered quarter horses and farmed most of his life. He and his wife built their home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Bowen Grigg; his parents Ottie and Tina Grigg; and a sister, Wanda Morris.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Varner of Springdale and Sandy Wall of Rogers, Ark.; three brothers, Tommy Grigg of Bentonville, Ark., and David Grigg and Raymond Grigg, both of Springdale; three sisters, Juanita Hathorn and Hellen Lyons, both of Springdale, and Verma Whitten of California; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, May 26, at the Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with Brother Jackie Hoffarth. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Hazel Hermes

Hazel Hermes, 91, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born Jan 16, 1915, in Tupelo, Miss.

Her family moved to Alabama and later to Spring City, Texas. She attended Arlington Hall Finishing School and George Washington University. She was living in Virginia when she me John B. Hermes, whom she marriage on Aug. 20, 1937. The couple moved to New York and later to New Jersey to accommodate her husband’s work as chief financial officer for various companies. Following his retirement, the couple settled in Rogers, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the PEO. She enjoyed knitting, reading and playing cards, especially bridge. She volunteered for 21 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, where she knitted a thousand baby caps for newborns.

She moved to Tulsa four years ago to be near her daughter, Margaret Bulmer.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Hermes and Barbara Hermes, and John Hermes and Susan Hermes; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Bulmer and Jim Bulmer; and seven grandchildren, Marc Hermes, Keli Hermes, Nicholas Hermes, Barbara Hermes, Peter Hermes, Ryan Bulmer and Erik Bulmer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23, at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa, Okla., with Dr. John Nelsen. Burial was at the South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa. Arrangements were by Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Erik Bulmer, Ryan Bulmer, Keli Hermes, Marc Hermes, Nick Hermes and Peter Hermes.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital’s Neonatal Nursery, 1200 W. Walnut St., Rogers, AR 72756.

Leland W. "Lee" Keller

Leland W. "Lee" Keller, 83, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, May 24, 2006. He was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Owasso, Mich., to Leland W. Keller and Myrtle M. Keller.

He was a World War II veteran, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force. He moved to Rogers in 1965 from Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a plant manager with Emerson Electric from 1965 to 1974. From 1975 to 2002, he was actively involved in the management of FM Corp. in Rogers; C. L. Care Inc. in Bentonville, Ark.; and Keller Moving Systems Inc. in Rogers.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl L. Mc-Cullough and Jack McCullough of Bentonville, Ark.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. Keller and Susan Keller of Rogers, and Robert L. Keller and Sally Keller of Pueblo West, Colo.; a special companion, Mary Musteen of Rogers; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at the Rollins Funeral Chapel with Brother Biff Averitt. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Huntsville, Ark., to Grady Lee Moore and Ethel Mae Walker Moore. Arrangements were by the Rollins Funeral Chapel in Rogers.

Irene M. Kirgan

Irene M. Kirgan, 87, of Rogers Ark., died Monday, May 22, 2006, at the Innisfree Skilled Nursing Facility in Rogers. She was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Pekin, Ill., to Roland Hyatt and Mary Tebben Hyatt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kirgan; two sisters; and a step-grandchild.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judith Duguid and Jack Duguid of Rogers; a son and daughter-in-law, David Kirgan and Kora Kirgan of Rogers; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at Woolsey Funeral Home. Burial was at the Glendale Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements were by Woolsey Funeral Home of Pekin, Ill.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Pekin, Ill.; or to the Bland Chapel United Methodist Church, 8530 Twin Coves Road, Rogers, AR 72756.

Bill Ober

Bill Ober, 84, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, May 22, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1912, in Batesville, Ark., to Archie Ober and Minnie Davis Ober.

He served with the Coast Guard Merchant Marines in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and moved to California. He retired from Sheet Metals Workers Union Local 509 of Riverside, Calif., in 1982 and moved to Bentonville in 1991. He was a life member of the American Legion for 53 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Centerton, Ark. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching his grandchildren play softball and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, June Ober, in 1995.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Ober and Nancy Ober of Rogers, Ark., Rory Ober and Pam Ober of Eagle River, Alaska, and Richard Ober and Laura Ober of Douglasville, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail Bailey and Jim Bailey of Bentonville; a brother, Jim Ober of Nampa, Idaho; two sisters, Billie Haney of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mildred Adams of Sun City, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, May 26, at the Bentonville Cemetery with Pastor Stuart Bell. Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark.

Memorials be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Centerton, Ark.; or to St. Mary’s Hospice, Rogers, Ark.
