Donald Leroy Kirby
A memorial service was held July 30 at the Bella Vista Community Church with Keith Burt, Pastor James Kirby and Dr. Thad Moore.
Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark.

Calvin B. 'Mac' McElhoe
Calvin B. "Mac" McElhoe, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 9, 2005, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Pekin, Ill., to John McElhoe and Ada Lou Bailey McElhoe.
He was an engineer with the Chrysler Corp. and retired after working more than 32 years. He and his wife moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in May 1975 from Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years with his last membership with the Bentonville Lodge. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dottie McElhoe of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Leanne Feldman & her husband Robert of Buchanan, Mich., Roberta "Bo" Purdy & her husband Richard of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held July 28 at the Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72714.

Marion Martin Mullican
Marian Martin Mullican, 77, of Lakeland Road, Gainesville, Ga., died July 27, 2005 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Carl and Emma Birdsong Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville. She was a former resident of Bella Vista.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Paul Mullican, Gainesville; sons, Martin Mullican, O'Fallon, Illinois; and Morgan P. Mullican, Gainesville; 8 grandchildren and sisters, Genevieve Frimodt and June Waters both of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Private memorial services were held July 29 at the residence.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Lakewood Baptist Church Building Fund 2235 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30501.

John M. Vandiver Sr.
John M. Vandiver Sr., 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 22, 2005, at his home. He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Childress County, Texas, to Mannon Vandiver and Jenny P. Bowen Vandiver.
He worked for the U.S. Bureau of Mines for 35 years. He moved to Bella Vista 16 years ago from Amarillo, Texas. He was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bonnie Vandiver; two sons, Ronnie Vandiver of Matador, Texas, and John Michael Vandiver of Bella Vista; a brother, Floyd Vandiver of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Lois Newman of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Wade Vandiver of Houston, Texas, April Dawn Perkins of Heidelburg, Germany, Scott Michael Vandiver of Bella Vista and Dustin Vandiver of Gravette, Ark.; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held July 28 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas.
Local arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Joe Richard Cavness
Joe Richard Cavness, 77, of Bentonville, Ark., died Aug. 15, 2005, at his home after an extended battle with cancer. He was born May 23, 1928, in Bentonville to J.N. Cavness and Elva Jameson Cavness.
He was a 1946 graduate of Bentonville High School. He was active in sports in high school and as a young adult. He worked in the coin-operated machine business for 58 years and was co-owner and operator of Pla-Mor Music Co. in Bentonville. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Bentonville Fire Department for many years. He was an active member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville, serving as a deacon and elder. The children of the church knew him as "Tootsie Roll Joe." He was an avid Razorback fan.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Henry Cavness.
Funeral services were held Aug. 18 at the First Christian Church with Don Morrow and Loy Hoskins.
Burial was at the Bentonville Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Sanctuary Fund, 807 S.W. 14th St., Bentonville, AR 72712; or to Circle of Life Hospice, 610 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72764.

Kevin Lee Fields
The Rev. Kevin Lee Fields, 49, of Bentonville, Ark., died Aug. 12, 2005, at his home, following a long illness. He was born June 11, 1956, in Saginaw, Mich., to William Leo Fields and Doris Juanita Geddings Fields.
He had lived in Benton and Sebastian counties, Ark., for the past 10 years, moving from Texas. He became an ordained Unity Christian minister on July 1, 1998. He was a licensed massage therapist. He was an avid reader and enjoyed the mountains, being outdoors, music, and playing guitar and trumpet.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Leo Fields, on March 31, 1988, and a sister, Bonnie Stephens, on April 13, 1973.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Layla Dyke and Sim Dyke of Elkins, Ark.; his mother, Doris Fields of Noel, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, John Fields and Lana Fields of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, J.J. Jones and Jeff Jones of Osage Beach, Mo., and Aleta Martin and Fred Martin of Gettysburg, Pa.; and two grandsons, Donovan Leo Brown and Ezra James Dyke.
A memorial service was held Aug. 18 at the United Methodist Church with Pastor David Howlett.
Arrangements were by Walker-Dowd Funeral Home of Anderson, Mo.

Eleanor Curry Grace
Eleanor Curry Grace, 96, of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 15, 2005, at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 25, 1908, in Bradenton, Fla., to Perry Rutledge Curry and Olive Howison Fletcher Curry.
She graduated from Manatee High School in Bradenton and attended Florida State College for Women (now Florida State University) in Tallahassee, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She taught high school in Bradenton. She later worked in Washington, D.C., at a depression-era government agency, the Home Owners Loan Corp.
She married Porter Grace in November 1936 in Atlanta, Ga. She was a homemaker. The couple moved to Memphis, Tenn., and lived there until 1970, when they moved to Bella Vista, Ark. She and her husband were instrumental in founding the Bella Vista Community Church. She moved to Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Porter Grace, in 1986; and three sisters, Marjorie Curry, Virginia Jennings and Perry Lou Harris.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Perry Grace and Virginia Grace of Lake Forest, Ill., and Porter Grace and Ellen Grace of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Wilma Weimer of Gainesville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Burial was at the Bella Vista Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark.
Cremation arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Bentonville, Ark.
