Arkansas, Marriage Certificates, 1917-1972

George J. Fesanco
George J. Fesanco, 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born May 1, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to George Fesanco and Charlotte Sinkus Fesanco.
He was a retired elevator mechanic. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Sue Fesanco of Palos Hills, Ill.
Viewing was Nov. 10 at the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 10 at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.

Evelyn M. Landers
Evelyn M. Landers, 93, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. She was born Aug. 12, 1911, in Marinette, Wis., to Peter Stallman and Thelma Blankenburg Stallman.
She moved to Rogers in 1989 from Fairhope, Ala. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers and the Friends of the Library in Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Landers, in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Williams of Bella Vista, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Nov. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers with the Rev. Jerry Rice.
Cremation arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark.

Sarah Jean Learned
Sarah Jean Learned, 70, of Bella Vista, Ark. died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 at her home in Bella Vista. She was born July 4, 1934 in El Dorado, Kan. to Ora Starbuck and Pauline (Holloway) Starbuck.
She lived in Wichita, Kan. for 33 years, moving to Bella Vista in 1986. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was very musical, having played piano, violin, mandolin by ear, and sang in duets, trios, quartets, and sextets. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed giving young brides cooking lessons.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles A. Learned of Bella Vista, Ark.; one son, Rodney David Learned of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Bill Starbuck of Great Bend, Kan.; one sister, El Dora Starbuck Reed of Chillicothe, Mo. and two grandchildren, Erin and Alex Learned.
A funeral service was held Nov. 13, 2004 at the Bethel Baptist Church, 2907 North Walton Blvd., Bentonville, Ark. with Pastor E.C. Watson officiating. Burial was in the Bella Vista Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 610 East Emma, Springdale, Ark. 72764.

Edna A. Rankin
Edna A. Rankin, 90, of Lyons, Kan., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center in Lyons. She was born Dec. 3, 1913, in Geneseo, Kan., to Alex Ramsey and Mary Alice Wycoff Ramsey.
She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1930.
She married Loyd A. Graham in 1933 in Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She married Richard I. Rankin in 1974 in Paola, Kan., and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1992. She was a homemaker.
She had lived in Lyons since 1999. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lyons, a charter member of the Bella Vista United Methodist Church and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Lyons and Great Bend, Kan.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Emmett Ramsey, Charles Ramsey, Henry Ramsey, John Ramsey and Kenneth Ramsey; and a sister, Oleta Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Camelio of Centennial, Colo.; a stepson, Duane Rankin of Mexico, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Duana Dralus of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 12 at the United Methodist Church in Lyons with the Rev. Cindy Watson.
Burial was at the Geneseo Cemetery in Geneseo, Kan. Arrangements were by Sillin Funeral Home of Lyons.
Memorials may be made to the Lyons Good Samaritan Center or to the Alzheimer's Foundation, in care of Sillin Funeral Home, 214 West Ave. S., Lyons, Kan. 67554.

C. Clayton Smith
C. Clayton Smith, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista. He was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Belvue, Kan., to Carl Smith and Lila Smith.
He was educated in Topeka, Kan. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He had a floor-covering store in Wichita, Kan., for 24 years and retired in 1982 in Bella Vista. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista. He enjoyed golf and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marge Smith; a daughter, Pat Mueller of Fort Thompson, S.D.; a son, Chuck Smith of Wichita; three sisters, Arlene Hanna of Austin, Texas, and Berniece Myers and Carol Waters, both of Topeka; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Nov. 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista with the Rev. Larry R. Williams and the Rev. Wayne L. Bartruff.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714.

Max Wolfe
The Rev. Max Wolfe, 86, of Edmond, Okla., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at his home.
He was a retired Disciples of Christ minister.
A memorial service was held Nov. 13 at the Southern Hills Christian Church in Edmond.
Arrangements were by Baggerley Funeral Homes, the Edmond Chapel.

Marcia 'Munchie' Winnell Bailey Herrington
Marcia "Munchie" Winnell Bailey Herrington, 60, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 9, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born on Nov. 16, 1944, in Pasadena, Texas, to Guy Silven Bailey and Pearl (Green ) Bailey.
She was a member of the Ruby Red Hats Collectic Chics of Bella Vista. She was employed in the live-in home care profession.
Survivors include a son, Mark Landers of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Melissa Keele of Pearland, Texas and Michelle Conrad of Conroe, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mark S. Bailey and Susana Bailey of Bella Vista, and Gary S. Bailey of Spring, Texas; three sisters, Maxine Whitley of Baytown, Texas, Sharon Thralls of LaPorte, Texas, and Patricia Williams of Dickinson, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Nov. 12 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
