Muriel A. Racine-Porter
Muriel Ardell Racine-Porter, 77, of Bella Vista, died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Bravo, Mich., to Peter and Margaret Beirow Petersen.
She was raised and educated in Chicago. She married Kenneth C. Racine in 1943.
She was employed as a secretary and receptionist for the Quacker Manufacturing Co., in Illinois. She married Wayne K. Porter in 1997.
She moved to Bella Vista in 1997 from Vernon Hills, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth C. Racine; and a sister, Mildred.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne K. Porter of Bella Vista; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Marie Racine of DeKalb, Ill., Les and Alice Racine of Crestview, Fla., Gary and Grada Racine of St. Charles, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Rick Affolter of Winter Springs, Fla.; a brother, Robert Petersen of Bartlett, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren, Tim Racine, Daniel Racine, Daniel Racine, David Racine, Taira Racine, Jeff Racine, Kristen Affolter, Lindsey Affolter, Lauren Affolter and Kelsey Affolter.
No local services are planned. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Trinity Vineyard Church in St. Charles, Ill.
Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 1001 West Walnut, Suite 3, Rogers, Ark. (72756); or to a hospice of the donor's choice.

May Victoria Schenck
May Victoria Schenck, 81, of Bella Vista, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born May 24, 1921, in Toronto, Canada, to Charles and Christine Simpson Thornton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Schenck; and two brothers.
Survivors include a son, W.L. Schenck Jr. of Denton Texas; two daughters, Dorothy Louise Sawyer of Waco, Texas, and Donita Singletary of Bentonville; a brother, Charles Thornton of Toronto, Canada; two sisters, Florence Meron of Michigan and Jesse Riley of Florida; six grandchildren, Jim Martin, Joe Martin, Charlie Schenck, Gypsy Gomez, Gordon "Junior" Cotton and Shane Blagg; and five great-grandchildren.
No services are planned.
Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to Bella Vista Animal Shelter, 32 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista, Ark. (72714).

Julia Avis Waterbury
Julia Avis Waterbury, 83, of Bella Vista, and formerly of Olathe, Kan., died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Rufe, Okla., to William and Gennie Hayes Terry.
She married Luther Waterbury on Dec. 7, 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Waterbury, on Dec. 5, 1994; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Waterbury of Olathe; a daughter and son-in-law, Julea and Dave Bell of Bella Vista; a sister, Audilee Hinman of Tulare, Calif.; a brother, Roy Terry of Woodburne, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Osborne of Bella Vista; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nine nieces and two nephews.
A time of remembrance was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kan. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
Memorials may be made to the Music Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. (72714); or to the Arthritis Foundation, 6213 Lee Avenue, Little Rock, Ark. (72205).
Local arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mark Allyn Brightman
Mark Allyn Brightman, 42, of Bella Vista, died Monday, April 23, 2001, while visiting in San Francisco, Calif. He was born July 22, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Harold and Evelyn Brightman.
He attended Drake University and graduated from the University of Houston School of Pharmacy in 1982. He had been employed as a registered pharmacist in Iowa, Hawaii and Texas before retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Bentonville, and had been an active member of the Houston Zoological Society.
Survivors include his parents, Harold and Evelyn Brightman of Bella Vista; a brother, Hal Brightman of Bentonville; a sister, Linda Brightman of Bella Vista; and a niece, Ashley Brightman of Bella Vista.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 406 W. Central Avenue, Bentonville, Ark. (72712).

Marcia E. Brown
Marcia E. Brown, 78, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born May 8, 1922, in Meeker, Okla., to Allen and Ethel Saffle Haley.
A longtime resident of Okmulgee, Okla., she moved to Bella Vista in September 1988. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Brown, on Dec. 8, 1980; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Mary.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Brown of Holdenville, Okla., and Joe A. Brown of Bella Vista; a daughter, Janie Combrink of Bella Vista; two brothers, Ben Haley and Charles Haley, both of California; two sisters, Loretha and G'ola, both of California; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at First United Pentecostal Church, 2200 S. 13th St. in Rogers, with the Rev. Norman Hamby officiating. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Okmulgee Cemetery.

Marie Isabelle Davis
Marie Isabelle Davis, 98, of Bella Vista, died Friday, April 27, 2001, at Innisfree Nursing Home in Rogers. She was born June 20, 1902, in Winslow, to John and Susan Alice Murry Perkins.
She moved to Bella Vista in 1985 from Blue Springs, Mo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Davis; a son, Emmitt "Dave" Davis; a daughter, Wilma Marie Ousley; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Lou Davis, and a sister, Celester "Johnnie" Shipley.
She is survived by a son, Jack A. Davis of Pea Ridge; a daughter and her husband, Nancy Sue and James Swindler of Bella Vista; a son-in-law, Wayne Ousley of Jacksonville, Fla.; three granddaughters, Leanne Marie Davis, Diane Marie Ousley and Denise Michele Ousley; one grandson, David Wayne Ousley; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista, with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo., with the Rev. Dwight Dussair officiating.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 West Moun-tain, Fayetteville, Ark. (72701); or to a charity of the donor's choice.
