Elizabeth Ann Robertson
Elizabeth Ann Robertson of Bentonville died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at her home. She was born in Bentonville to Otis Finis and Clara Elizabeth Gilbert Dishmon.
She attended school in Bentonville until the eighth grade, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Springfield, Mo. She attended Pine Bluff AM&N College.
She married Christopher D. Robertson on Nov. 23, 1958. She taught for one year at the Black School in Bentonville.
She was a window designer for women's clothing stores in Los Angeles and was a homemaker. She returned to Bentonville to care for her mother in the fall of 1992 and became active in the community.
In 1998, she received an honorary high school diploma from Bentonville High School. She was a longtime Democrat, and was active in the Benton County Democrat Club and the Benton County Democratic Women's Club.
She was a member of Bentonville Noon Lions Club, the American Association of University Women, Orchid Society of the Ozarks and the Downtown Planning Group.
A longtime supporter of the arts, she was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society and the Bentonville/Bella Vista Symphony Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home chapel in Bentonville. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville with the Rev. Laura Fleetwood and the Rev. Gordon Garlington officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, care of Dorothy Mortensen, 4 Kensington Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. (72714); or to the Bentonville Noon Lions Club Sight Project, care of Shirley Wiemers, secretary, 18 Caxton Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. (72714).

Mary Martha Sherman Rodgers
Mary Martha Sherman Rodgers, 91, formerly of Maysville, died Feb. 13, 2003, in Oswego, N.Y. She was born May 14, 1911, near Anderson, Mo., to Luther and Martha Adeline Bagby Sherman.
She graduated from Vaughn High School. She was a member of Maysville Missionary Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Maysville Extension Homemaker's Club.
She was a former 4-H leader, a homemaker and childcare provider. She was also a member of Phoenix Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Rodgers, in 1976; and her brother, Carlin Sherman, in 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally M. Rodgers Wall of Phoenix, N.Y; a sister, Corda McAlpin of Rogers; a granddaughter, Amanda M. Wall and a great-grandson, Hunter Lee Bell, both of Canton, N.Y., and a nephew, Jimmy Sherman of Rogers.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Maysville Cemetery, with the Rev. Raymond Scott officiating.
Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Contributions may be may to Maysville Missionary Baptist Church or a charity of donor's choice.

Delores Viola Taylor
Delores Viola Taylor, 73, of Gravette, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Dec. 7, 1929, in Monroe, S.D., to John and Effie Aeilts Sweeter.
She was raised and educated in California. She graduated from high school and began working for AT&T in California. She then worked for Americana Hotels as a bookkeeper in Arizona.
She later worked for O.N.C., a trucking firm, as a bookkeeper. She moved to Arkansas in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Taylor; four sisters, Minnie Bloom, Jessie Sweeter, Esther Palmer and Anna Murray; three brothers, Walter Sweeter, Clarence Sweeter and Sanford Sweeter.
She is survived by a son, Kit Taylor of Leesville, La.; and a sister, Martha Sweeter of Gravette.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Shepherd's Chapel, 700 East Akron in Gravette, with the Rev. Arnold Murray officiating.
Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Herbert W. Walcker
Herbert W. Walcker, 82, of Siloam Springs, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Turtle Lake, N.D., to John and Caroline Melhoff Walcker.
He had been a resident of Siloam Springs since 1994, moving from Sultan, Wash., where he was owner and operator of Walcker Forest Products. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
He married Evelyn McGrew on Feb. 27, 1975, in Portland, Ore. He was a member of Siloam Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Walcker; two sons, Robert Walcker and Larry Walcker, both of Siloam Springs; a stepson, Douglas Coy of Texas; two stepdaughters, Shelly Maier of Bella Vista and Cheryl Potter of Siloam Springs; a sister, Ruby Davidson of Banks, Ore.; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Siloam Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Russ Potter and Dr. Bob Weaver officiating.
Cremation arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Abigail Grace Arnsperger, infant daughter of Dan and Catherine Taeger Arnsperger of Springdale, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Survivors include her parents of the home; maternal grandparents, Ernst and Susan Taeger of St. Louis, Mo.; maternal great-grandparents, Allen and Lucy Brillhart of Little Rock and Margrit Taeger of Des Moines, Iowa; paternal grandparents Don and Liz Arnsperger of Salisbury, Mo.; and paternal great-grandparents Elmer and Margaret Arnsperger of Salisbury, Mo., and Elizabeth Murray of St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Family Center of Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas, with Pastor Todd Stockdale officiating. A private committal service will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Memorials may be made to Loving Choices Crisis Pregnancy Center, Benton County Office,
810-A South Seventh St., Rogers 72756.
Funeral services are provided by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
