Ruby Jewel McDaniel
June 16, 2006
Ruby Jewel McDaniel, 99, of Magnolia, formerly of Booneville, AR, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at a Magnolia hospital. She was born April 17, 1907, at Murfreesboro, AR, the daughter of the late Thomas and Canna Ruth Bradford.
She was a member of the College View Baptist Church in Magnolia, AR.
Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her three husbands, two sons, four brothers and her step-mother, Lucy Bradford.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Leslie and wife, Laverne, of Magnolia, AR and John Leslie of McNeil, AR; one daughter, Margaret Ralph and husband, Jim of Clovis, CA; four brothers, Edwin Bradford of Wake Village, TX, Larkin Bradford of Kountyer, TX, J.L. Bradford of Nashville, AR and R.V. Bradford of Nashville, AR; four sisters, Shirley Bradford of Nashville, AR, Betty Kihodeaux of Beaumont, TX, Linda Hockaday of Nashville, AR and Patsey Whitehead of Texarkana, AR; fifteen brandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 19, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Bros. Richard Walters and Charles Leslie officiating, burial in Ozan Cemetery, Bingen, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, June 18, from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Mary Jane Watson
January 12, 2008
Mary Jane Watson 66, of Nashville, AR, died, January 12, 2008 at a Texarkana hospital. She was born October 26, 1941 the daughter of the late Herman Bell and Ida Roberts Chambers.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nashville.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband William Dwaine Watson.
She is survived by one daughter Lesley White and husband Roger of Nashville, AR; two brothers Junior Bell of Hope, AR, and Joe Arnold of Spring Hill, LA.; one sister Jean Britt of Nashville, AR; and three grandchildren Hunter, Hannah, and Justin White.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 15, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in County Line Cemetery, with Ralph Posey and Calvin Parker officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, January 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital or the Weber Cancer Center in Texarkana.

Calvin Hiram McWha
January 10, 2008
Calvin Hiram McWha, 75, of Delight, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at his home. He was born January 23, 1932, in Amity, AR, the son of the late Jacob Jackson and Sarah Jane Whisenhunt McWha.
He was a Baptist. He was a retired Truck Driver for the Corp of Engineer.
Mr. McWha was preceded in death by his wife, Martha B. McWha and two sisters, Ada McWha and Clara McWha.
He is survived by two sons, Calvin Wayne McWha of Nashville, AR and Tracy McWha of Delight, AR; two brothers, Elster McWha of Indiana and William B. McWha of Hot Springs, AR, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 12, at Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, January 11, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Noel D. Chuck Carlton
January 5, 2008
Noel Don “Chuck” Carlton, age 78, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Saturday January 5, 2008, in Nashville. He was born October 6, 1929, in Bodcow, Arkansas, the son of the late Joseph Clarance and Solon Hollie Grishaum Carlton. He was a member of Bingen United Methodist Church, was a Gideon, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Carlton was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife Ruby Jo Carlton of Nashville; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Joe and Laura Carlton of Nashville, Mack and Lisa Carlton of Texarkana; 2 grandchildren Michael Carlton, Dana Carlton and 1 great-grandchild Jaden. Services are 10:00 A.M. Monday at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Latimer Funeral Home.

Peggy Merle Ray
January 5, 2008
Peggy Merle Ray , age 72, of Nashville, died Saturday January 5, 2008, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was born February 5, 1935 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas the daughter of the late Clarence and Leathel Hosey Roberson. She was a self-employed beautician and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter Ginger Diane Ray; 1 brother Irving Rosser; and 1 sister Bonnie Clark. Survivors include her husband Eugene Ray of Nashville; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Eddie and Anna Ray, Jimmy and Sherry Ray all of Nashville; 1 daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Tom Jones of San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren Sean Jones, Sherae Jones, Kristi Rosenbaum, Kari Crow, Kadem Ray, Cannon Ray and Cattlin Ray; as well as 6 great grandchildren. Services are 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Latimer Funeral Home with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Carl Owens McCrary
January 4, 2008
Carl Owens McCrary, age 50, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Friday, January 4, 2008 in a Nashville hospital. He was born February 8, 1957 in Nashville, Arkansas, the son of the late James Matthew McCrary and Verna Marie Cornish McCrary. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, sang in the choir, and was an Assistant Sunday School Teacher. He was currently serving as President of the Hempstead County Farmer’s Association, where he was a Board Member for 25 years. He received Honorary Chapter Farmer from the Nashville FFA, and enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge of farming with area FFA chapters and judging teams. Survivors include his wife Leslie McCrary; 2 sons David McCrary, Caleb McCrary; 1 daughter Elizabeth McCrary; and mother Verna Marie McCrary all of Nashville; 1 brother James Paul McCrary of Midland, TX; 4 sisters Camellia Lambert of Germantown, TN, Belinda Hussey of Alexander, AR, Virginia “Ginger” Primm of Benton, Debra Fischer of Texarkana, TX; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial in County Line Cemetery. Bro. Tim Montgomery and Bro. Glen Green will officiate. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday, at Latimer funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.

Henry Swann
January 2, 2008
Henry Swann, 73, of Nashville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at a Texarkana hospital. He was born Sept 23, 1934, in Minneola, TX, the son of the late Doug and Grace Baldwin Swann.
He was a Baptist. He was past Arkansas State president of the FOE, member of the Masonic Lodge in Nashville, and of the Cattleman’s Association. He was president of Metal Workers Connection and former manager of the Nashville Crate Company. He was owner and president of Central Machine Shop, Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Mr. Swann was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patsy Harrell.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Swann of Nashville, AR; three daughters, Dena Patterson of Rogers, AR, Deborah Arnold of Green wood, AR and Donna Swann of Fayetteville, AR; one brother, Dudley Swann of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Betty Harris of Prairie Village, KS and Mary Ann Scott; four grandchildren, Kristen and Joshua Arnold of Green wood, AR and Aaron and Trent Patterson of Rogers, AR; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Memorials services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 5, at First Baptist Church, Nashville, with Dr. David Blasé officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville,
In lieu of floweres, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or memorial of your choice.

J.T. Rogers

J.T. Rogers, 86, of McCaskill, died Sunday, January 1, 2008, at his home. He was born November 2, 1921, at Bodcaw, AR, the son of the late Thomas Lloyd and Gordia Vines Rogers.
He was a member of the McCaskill Church of Christ. He was a member of Blue Branch Hunting Club and board member of the Friendship Cemetery Association.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his first wife, Verna Stone Rogers, the mother of his daughters; one brother, Floyd Rogers; three half-sisters and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rogers of McCaskill, AR; two daughters, Ann Smithson and husband Gene of Ashdown, AR and Sue Feemster of Ashdown, AR and one step-daughter, Debra Oliver of Lafayette, CA; one sister, Susan Coleman of Kirbyville, TX; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, at McCaskill Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander and Randy Hughes officiating, burial in Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
Memorials may be made to McCaskill Church of Christ, Childrens Home, Inc. , P.O. Box 460 , Paragould, AR 72451 or Southern Christian Home, P.O. Box 649, Morrilton, AR 72210.
