Willie Otto McLaughlin
December 12, 2007
Willie Otto McLaughlin, 98, of Nashville, died Wednesday, December 12, at a Nashville hospital. He was born April 11, 1909, in Dierks, AR , the son of the late James Newton and Mary Artie McCal l McLaughlin. .
He was a member and former Deacon of the Sunset Church of Christ. He was former employee of Case Nashville Corporation.
Mr. McLaughlin was preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice Cochran.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, July 1, 1933, Erma Elmina McLaughlin of Nashville, AR; one daughter, Shirley Jones and her husband, Edgar, of Nashville, AR; one son-in-law, Jesse Cochran; three grandchildren, Roy Cochran and wife, Vicki, Loy Cochran and wife, Jeannie and Debbie Seavers; six great-grandchildren, Robbie Cochran and wife, Rena, Daniel Cochran, Clara Hill and husband, Brian, Emily Cochran, Heather Pennington and husband, Randy, and Blake Seavers, four great-great grandchildren, Jarrod Cochran, Katie Cochran, Christina Cochran and Logan Pennington, and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 14, at Sunset Church of Christ, with David Williams officiating, burial in Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, December 13, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made to Sunset Church of Christ.

Bobby McJunkins
December 10, 2007
Bobby McJunkins, 87, of Saratoga, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at a Texarkana hospital. She was born January 30, 1920, in Saratoga, AR, the daughter of the late Barney and Eron Fincher Stanton.
She was a member of the Saratoga Church of Christ.
Mrs. McJunkins was preceded in death by her husband, Clayburn McJunkins and one daughter, Bonnie Faye McJunkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Ellen of Saratoga,AR and Peggy Ledesma of Saratoga, AR; two brothers, Harvey Stanton and wife, Virginia, of Saratoga, AR and Barney Joe Stanton and wife, Malinda, of Seagoville, TX; one sister, Betty Williams and husband, J.B., of Haughton, LA, three granddaughters and two grandsons; nine great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Harold Turner and Jon Dewbre officiating, burial in Saratoga Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
Memorials may be made to Saratoga Cemetery Fund.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, December 12, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Sue Spicer
December 8, 2007
Berta Sue Spicer, 68, of Mineral Springs, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 in Wake Village. She was born on August 11, 1939 in Nashville, AR the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Tedford) Sullivan. Mrs. Spicer was owner/operator of Sears Retail, retired from Poulan and member of the First United Methodist Church of Mineral Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Spicer and one sister, Nell Dellinger.
Survivors include: one son, Steve and wife, Karen Spicer of Nashville; three daughters, Betty and husband Bruce Dinsmore of Wake Village, TX, Jeanie and husband Gary Gorham of Mineral Springs, and Carol and husband, Chuck Kissman of Nashville; three brothers, Charles Sullivan of Texarkana, TX, Jimmy Don Sullivan and Edwin Sullivan, both of Nashville; seven sisters, Juanita Jones of Texarkana, TX, Virginia Ray Fitz of Magnolia, Jackie Stout of Hayward, CA, Billie Sisler of Hot Springs, Pam Caldwell of Little Rock, Mary Jane Woodruff of Nashville, and Rebecca Sullivan of Hayward, CA; seven grandchildren, Jill Gorham of Spokane, WA, Ginger Gorham of Mineral Springs, Courtney Kessler of Texarkana, AR, B.J. Dinsmore of Texarkana, TX, Brad Dinsmore of Austin, TX, Jay Byers of Nashville, and Shondra Parker of Nashville; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Vicky Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Avery’s Chapel in McCaskill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Mineral Springs or Avery’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, December 10, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The family will be at the home of Jeanie Gorham, 111 E. Spring Street, Mineral Springs.

Chloe Dove Hosey
March 30, 2008
Chloe Dove Hosey, age 86, of Nashville, Arkansas, formerly of Mineral Springs, died Sunday March 30, 2008, in a Nashville nursing home. She was born November 24, 1921, in Schaal, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Edward and Mary Belle Garrett DeLoney. She was a retired housekeeper and member of Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. Survivors include her son Terry Hosey of Nashville; 2 daughters Mary Jo Nowell of Azel, TX, Linda Burns of Salem, WI; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mineral Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at Latimer Funeral Home.

Charles Lindberg Womack

Charles Lindberg Womack, age 80, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, formerly of Dallas, TX, died Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was born January 30, 1928, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, the son of the late Earl and Velma Mae Riddle Womack. He was a retired steel worker. He served in the Army Air Force during the Korean War and was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bobbie N. Womack, 2 brothers Thomas Womack, Wilford Womack. Survivors include his wife Louise Womack of Tyler , TX; 1 son and daughter-in-law Michael and Teresa Womack of Springdale; 2 grandchildren Katie and Chase Womack of Springdale; 2 step-daughters Donna Gates of Tyler, TX, Marilyn Akins of Waco, TX; 3 brothers Frank Womack of Bossier City, LA, Billy Don Womack of Nashville, AR, James Henry Womack of Marietta, GA; 3 sisters Geraldine Carruthers of Denver, CO, Perlie Mae Jackson of Nashville, Leta Faye Bosley of Monroe, LA; 4 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday March 27, 2008, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, AR, with burial in Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill, AR. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Violet Iline Hipp
March 22, 2008
Violet Iline (Cooley) Hipp, 90, passed away, March 22, 2008 at Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born on June 15, 1917.
Mrs. Hipp was preceded in death by her husband, James Noel Hipp; and two brothers, Stuart Cooley and Morris Cooley.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Ann (Tommy) Jackson of Stuttgart and Frances (David) Fletcher of Mayflower; a grandson, Jon Aaron (Kimberly) Jackson of Stuttgart; one granddaughter, Marci (Jason) Rhodes of North Little Rock; two great granddaughters, Abigail and Isabelle Rhodes, with the Jacksons expecting her 3rd great grandchild in July; and one brother, Dick Cooley of Arkadelphia.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Murfreesboro Cemetery with Bobby Jamison officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, March 24, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville
Lois Ann and Frances would like to express their appreciation to all of the staff of the Chambers Nursing Home of Carlisle, the care givers of the Hospice Home Care of Cabot and Dr. Chris Morgan of Stuttgart who took excellent care of their mother. Known to her family as “Gran” ….. She was loved. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity or church.

Edward Dale Hamilton
March 17, 2008
Edward Dale Hamilton, age 72, of Nashville, AR, died March 17, 2008, at a Little Rock, AR hospital. He was born March 13, 1936, in Mineral Springs, AR, the son of the late Milo and Lona Carey Hamilton.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
He attended Nashville High School and later attended Henderson State University and pursued a degree in accounting. He was selected in Who’s Who Among American College Students, and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma and the Reddies Band. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher; served in the National Guard; was past president of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the original Nashville Jaycees. He was also a former president of the Rotary Club. He was a master Mason and Worshipful Master of Pleasant Valley Lodge. He was past president of the Shriners and member of the Eastern Star.
In 1950 he began his life long career as a shoe salesman and he and Shirley purchased Quality Shoe Store in 1973, where he made an art of dyeing and selling shoes for over 50 years.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley, one son, Jim Hamilton and wife Susan, of Nashville, AR; one granddaughter, Shea Caldwell and husband Kurt, of Murfreesboro, AR, one grandson, Trace Hamilton; a number of nieces, nephews and many life long friend.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Activity Building at Immanuel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 212, Nashville, AR 71852.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
