Marjorie Nell Avery
Marjorie Nell Avery, 67, of Magnolia died Sunday, February 11, 2001, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Avery was born October 1, 1933, in Waldo to James H. and Lera Warren. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James B. Warren, and a sister, Mildred W. Morton.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Billy Don Avery of Magnolia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Julia Avery of Magnolia and David and Tammy Avery of North Little Rock; three daughters, Dena Haltom of Sherwood, Pam Avery of Magnolia and Patty Avery of Little Rock; grandchildren, Derek and Jessica Avery of Magnolia, Michelle, Matt and Robin Haltom of Sherwood, Brynn and Kaylee Harvison of North Little Rock and Austin Avery of Little Rock; three brothers, Gene Warren of Hope; Ralph Warren of Little Rock and Clifford Warren of Taylor; and one sister, Florine Tubb of Texarkana, Ark.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 13, at First Baptist Church with Bro. David Watkins and Bro. Paul Bullock officiating. Burial was in DeAnn cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia.

Glen Trout
Glen Trout, 84, of Delight died Sunday, February 11, 2001, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
Mr. Trout was born on February 2, 1917, in Pike County to Samuel Oscar and Pliena Wood Trout. He was a retired machinist with International Paper Co. and a member of the 32nd Mason of Pisgah Lodge in Delight.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edna Price Trout of Delight; one daughter, Glenda Stuart of Prescott; one half brother, David Trout of Missouri; one granddaughter, Kendra Lynn Taylor of Prescott; one great grandson, Mason McCorkle of Prescott; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 13, at Delight Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander officiating. Burial was in Delight cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

Emogene Dickerson Oglesby Copeland
Emogene Dickerson Oglesby Copeland, 74, formerly of Prescott, Little Rock and El Dorado, died Sunday, February 11, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas.
Mrs. Copeland was born September 7, 1926, in Prescott to Forrest and Lillie Smith Dickerson. She was retired from the garment factory in Prescott. She was an Assembly of God and a former Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Clarence Copeland, and her husband of 26 years, Dawson Oglesby.
Survivors include two daughters, Loris Vernae Oglesby Gray of Tyler, Texas, and Betty Gene Oglesby Mortimer Arabi of Kuwait; three sisters, Dorothy Wake of El Dorado, Helen Callicott of Prescott and Betty Stigaullde of Hope; and two grandchildren, Constance Nicole Mortimer of Kuwait and Faress Arabi of Kuwait.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 14, at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with burial in Pleasant Ridge cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

Ada Mae Crane Haynes
Ada Mae Crane Haynes, 85, of Prescott was called to her eternal home on Friday, February 16, 2001, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.
Mrs. Haynes was born August 9, 1915, in Rattan, Okla., to Henry and Lila Mae Crane. She was a housewife and a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Haynes, in 1991.
Cherishing her memory are four sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Frances Haynes of Prescott; Eddy and Shirley Haynes of Texarkana, Texas, Donnie and Bonnie Haynes of Prescott and Jerry and Vicky Haynes of Dallas, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Billy Morris of Prescott; 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott with Bros. Chad Brandon and Jeremy Franklin officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Ridge cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.

Frances Lusby
Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Lusby, 90, of North Little Rock, died Friday, September 30, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare Center in North Little Rock.
She was born on August 10, 1915, in Prescott. She was a homemaker and church daycare provider. She spent many years caring and nurturing for children at local church daycare facilities. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Howard Lusby.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Lusby of North Little Rock; one nephew, Raymond Dayson of North Carolina; two nieces, Judy Wamsher of Searcy and Gertrude Firman of Louisiana; and her beloved pet, Maddie Marie.
Memorial services were at 6 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, with Rev. Mary Hoey and Rev. Paul Rick officiating. Burial was held at a later date. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Pulaski County Humane Society.

Glenn M. Billingsley
Glenn M. Billingsley, 69, formerly of Prescott, died Tuesday, February 13, 2001.
Mr. Billingsley was a native of Prescott and the son of the late Hugh and Ethel Billingsley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann W. Billingsley and a step-son, John Cavender. He was a retired air force veteran and served in the Korean war. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Survivors include four sons, Glen Billingsley of Melbourne, Fla., Calvin Billingsley of Camden, Mark Billingsley of Debois, Penn., and Jeff Billingsley of Conyers, Ga.; three daughters, Leigh Glass of El Dorado, Donnie Williams of Warner Robins, Ga., Judy Billingsley of Kathleen, Ga.; brothers, Burl Billingsley of Texas and Ray Billingsley of Prescott; a sister, Jessie Mae Milan of Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were private under the direction of Christopher-Smith Funeral Home of Warner Robins, Ga.

Rosa Hunter
Rosa Mae Wells Hunter, 86, of Prescott passed away October 11, 2005, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Prescott.
She was born on February 15, 1919, near Okolona in Clark County to James B. Wells and Mamie P. Young Wells.
Survivors include: one son, Lenard Ray Hunter and wife, Josephine, of Magnolia; two daughters, Melba Gebhart and husband Tim of Huntsville, Ala., and Debbie Friday and husband, James of Magnolia; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Linard O’Neal Wells and wife, Doris of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Mildred Smart of Tucumcari, New Mexico and Faye Smith of Clovis, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews.
Officiating was Rev. Wilborn Wesson. The funeral service was Friday, October 14, at 11 a.m. in the Shackelford Chapel, under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Moriah cemetery.

Charlene Yarbrough
Charlene Yarbrough, 89, of Ferriday, La., formerly of Prescott, died Saturday, February 17, 2001, at Riverland Medical Center.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born March 12, 1911, in Ozan to Stewart and Lula Crano. She graduated from high school in Ozan and attended Southern State College in Magnolia. She was a graduate of Temple Business College in Temple, Texas. She moved to Prescott in August of 1945 with her husband, R.F. ‘Bob' Yarbrough, and their son, Charles, who was five years old. She was a lifetime member of Rose Garden Club and the Tri-Service Club, where she served in various offices. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Association. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 1996.
Cherishing her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Pamela D. Yarbrough; her two grandsons and their wives, Chuck and Laura Yarbrough of Atlanta, Ga., and Brad and Lena Yarbrough of Monroe, Ga.; and her two great grandsons, Hunter and Sterling Yarbrough of Monroe, Ga.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 19, at First United Methodist Church in Prescott with Bro. Jim Lenderman officiating. Interment was in DeAnn cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.

Norma J. Ingram
Norma J. Ingram, 72, of Camden died Monday, February 19, 2001.
Mrs. Ingram was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Ingram.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Ingram and his wife Cheryl of Spokane, Wash., and Rusty Ingram and his wife Nina of Camden; a daughter, Jill Sellers and her husband Bryan of Warren; a sister, Hazel Stuart of Flagstaff, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 22, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Merritt, Rev. David Johnson and Rev. Willie Knight officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden.

Nita Stephens
Nita Stephens, 54, of Hope formerly of Emmet, died Friday, February 23, 2001, at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
Mrs. Stephens was born August 9, 1946, in Rochester, N.Y., to John and Marie Malatino. She was a housewife, mother and private sitter. She was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her father, John Malatino, and one sister, Rose Marie Malatino.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Stephens of Hope; three sons, Brian Hardy of Hope, P.J. Hardy of Emmet and David Stephens of Hope; two daughters, Jo Ann Elder of Texarkana and Linda Stephens of Hope; her mother, Marie Malatino of California; and two grandchildren, Joseph Elder of Stamps and Dillon Clark of Texarkana.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 25, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Frank Henson officiating. Burial was in Snell cemetery in Emmet under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

Lorena McAteer
Lorena McAteer, 87, of Camden died suddenly Sunday, February 25, 2001, at Ouachita County Medical Center.
She was born October 8, 1913, in the Caney community to John Glass and Ella Goodman Glass. She was the wife of Eld. Novel McAteer for 70 years and a preacher's wife for more than 40 years. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and Easter Star. She was preceded in death by a son, Denvia John Harvey McAteer.
She is survived by her husband, Eld. Novel McAteer of Camden; a grandson, Devina John Harvey McAteer Jr., and his wife Brenda; a granddaughter, Marvanna McAteer Merritt and her husband Charles; three great grandchildren, Charles Richard (Chuck) Merritt Jr. and wife Brandy, and Staci Merritt and Holi Merritt; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Wicker McAteer Neeley and her husband Jim.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 27, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Morris cemetery. Eld Richard Merritt and Eld. Jerry Carter officiated. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden was in charge of the arrangements.

Cloyce C. Clark
Cloyce C. Clark, 82, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Laneburg, died Sunday, February 25, 2001, in a Shreveport hospital.
Mr. Clark was born November 9, 1918, in the Mt. Moriah community in Nevada County. He was a retired truck driver, a member and elder of Mt. Moriah Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the National Guard for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Clark of Shreveport, La.; one son, Cloyce C. Clark Jr. of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Glenda Stevens of Greenwood, La., Gail Hendrix of Shreveport, La., and Freda Sims of Arcadia, La.; one brother, Frank Clark Jr. of Hope; four sisters, Juanita Reed of Doddridge, Jean Henson of Waskom, Texas, Hattie Phipps of Longview, Texas, and Mattie Green of Doddridge; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Lowell McLain and Mr. Harley Sisson officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
