Thomas Billingsley
Mr. Thomas Arthur Billingsley, 81, of Blevins, died Friday, January 23, 2004, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
He was born December 31, 1922, to Lillard and Golda Hendrix Billingsley.
He was an employee of Potlatch. He was a member of Prescott Church of Christ and a Navy Veteran and member of the National Guard.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Stephens Billingsley of Blevins; one daughter, Eva Wood of Gurdon; three step-sons, Jake Woods, Jr. of Blevins, Edward Woods, Sr. of DeAnn, and Dickie Woods of Prescott; four step-daughters, Nora Webber of Dickinson, Tex., Mary Uptain of Holly Grove, Sheila Woods of Blevins, and Geneva Dalhover of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one brother, John Billingsley of Bossier City, La.; three sisters, Imogene Turner of Camden, Lois McCain of Prescott, and Sue Hammans of Colorado; two grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at Prescott Church of Christ in Prescott with Mr. John Billingsley officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Jimmy Tittle
Mr. Jimmy Tittle, 40, of Rosston, formerly of Columbus, died Saturday, January 24, 2004, at his home.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Mary Bulaney
Mrs. Mary Belle Dulaney, 78, of Oviedo, Fla., died Monday, January 19, 2004, at Avande Nursing Home, Orlando, Fla.
She was born June 22, 1925, in Oakland, Fla., to J. "Bo" and Maggie Belle Warren Porter. She was a grocery store cashier. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.
Her survivors include: her husband, Jim Dulaney of Oviedo, Fla. and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services were 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at Union cemetery in Bodcaw, with Rev. Bill Dulaney officiating. Burial to follow. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Roland Stuart
Mr. Roland David Stuart, 71, of Prescott, died Thursday, February 26, 2004, at his home.
He was born January 27, 1933, in Prescott, to Robert David and Vida Blanche Copeland Stuart.
He was a retired plaster instructor at Ouachita Job Corps in Hot Springs, for more than 25 years. He was a Mason, a Baptist, a member of Plasters Local Union and Howard Creek Hunting Club, Prescott, and an Army Veteran. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
His survivors include: one son, Sammy Stuart and Wendy of Alexander; three daughters, Peggy Cline and Jason and Gwen Denton and Jim all of Redfield, and Amy Yarbrough and Chris of Springdale; one sister, Wanda Stewart and Roy of Benton; nine grandchildren, Dustin Stuart, Amber Stuart, Heather Hill, Tracey Taylor, Holly Watson, Crystal Smith, Sheree Brewer, Abigail, and Chloe Yarbrough; and one great-grandson, Brennan Brewer.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, Wallace Alexander officiating. Burial was in Nubbin Hill cemetery in Prescott. Arrangement by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends Saturday, February 28, 2004, from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Edna Daniel
Edna Zavanna Daniel, 86, of Prescott, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2004, at Hillcrest Nursing and Rehab.
Mrs. Daniel was born September 22, 1917, in Prescott. Edna was the daughter of Henry Joseph Lowe and Addie Marie (Morris) Lowe.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith, a member of Bowden Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, James Roy Daniel of Prescott; two nephews, Dr. Arlis Wayne Lowe of Texarkana and Bobby Lowe of Memphis, Tenn.; one niece, Betty Jane Lowe of Memphis, Tenn.
Services for Mrs. Daniel was held Saturday, February 28, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott. Burial was held at Sweet Home cemetery on the Blevins Highway. Visitation was Friday, February 27, 2004, at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.

Lamae Rogers
Lamae Francis Rogers, 83, of Buckner, died Thursday, February 26, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born May 20, 1920 in Hempstead County.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker, a member of the Hinton Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Rogers, Jr.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Frances Rogers of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Gary and Darlene Rogers of Buckner; one brother, Narvell and Margie Burns of Jasper, Texas; one sister, Dorothia Camp of Hope; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. Paul Lyons officiating with burial in the Union cemetery in Bodcaw under the direction Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Zula Sewell
Mrs. Zula M. Sewell, 92, of Blevins, died February 27, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 9, 1911, in Blevins to Bob and Linnie Chism Wardlaw.
She was a member of the Bruce Memorial United Methodist Church in Blevins and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Sewell, who died February 26, 1998.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ramona Jean Conner and Robert of Olden, Texas; two sisters, Annie P. Smart of Odessa, Texas, and Hautie Huskey of Blevins; three grandsons, Jerry A. Conner of Garland, Texas, Robert Conner, Jr. and Gayla of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and Tim W. Conner and Raylene of Henderson, Texas; one granddaughter, Cecile Reatherford and Blain of Breckenbridge, Texas; and many great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandson.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, February 29, 2004, at Bruce Memorial United Methodist Church in Blevins, with Rev. Jim Teeter officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends Saturday, February 28, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Joseph Escarre
Mr. Joseph Heath Escarre, 56, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, March 1, 2004 at Baptist Health of Little Rock.
He was born December 3, 1947, in Prescott, to Peter Andrew Escarre, Sr. and Cliffie Opeline Heath Escarre.
He was a computer engineer with Hooks School System. He was a Methodist. He made the Dean's List and the Who's Who Among College Graduates and received his B.S., Summa Cum Laude from Henderson State University, Arkadelphia. He was a Certified Microsoft System Engineer; Certified Sysco Technician; Certified Honda Technician; former Regional Service Manager with Honda, Black Belt in Taekwondo; and he held an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Texarkana Jr. College.
He was preceded in death by his father, P.A. Escarre, Sr.
His survivors include: one son, Joseph Heath Reynolds of Humble, Tex.; his mother, Cliffie Opeline Escarre of Prescott; one brother, Peter Andrew Escarre, Jr. of Chidester; one sister, Delores Anita Kerr of Willis, Tex.; two grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, in DeAnn cemetery with Rev. Gladwin Connell officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends Wednesday, March 3, 2004, from 5-7 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Marjorie Evans
Marjorie Marie Evans, 81, of Willisville, died March 3, 2004, at the Heather Manor Nursing Home in Hope.
She was born to Tom and Rosie Goodwin on July 20, 1922 in Bodcaw.
She was a member of Whites Chapel Baptist Church, a homemaker, an excellent seamstress and a former fabric department manager of Wal-Mart in Magnolia. She married Dall O. Evans October 7, 1939. They were married for more than 64 years.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dayle Evans.
Survivors include: husband, Dall O. Evans of Willisville; one son, Jerry Evans and wife Dot of Hope; two daughters, Judy Burns of Stamps and Jana Gibson and husband Wayne of Willisville; two brothers, Garland Goodwin of Willisville and Aubrey Goodwin of Rosston; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Jerry Evans and Bro. Wayne Langston officiating burial followed in Union cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Julius Adams
Julius Abner Adams, 78, of Arkadelphia, died March 10, 2004, at the Twin Rivers Health and Rehab.
He was born November 4, 1925, in Lonsdale. The son of the late Ernest C. Adams and Flossie Garner Adams.
He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WWII during 1943-1945. After he returned to Arkansas he received a BSE degree from Henderson State Teachers College in 1949 and MSE degree from the University of Arkansas. He married Lenelle Goza on June 22, 1949. He taught, coached and served as Junior High Principal at Prescott Public School, Principal of Hope Public Schools and was Assistant Superintendent of Arkadelphia Public Schools. He retired after 20 years as Director of Educational Services at Ouachita Regional Counseling Center. He was an active member and Deacon of Third Street Baptist Church and helped establish the Brushy Creek Baptist Campground on DeGray Lake and the Clark County Christmas Store.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenelle Goza Adams.
Survivors include two sons, Kim AdaMs and his wife, Lorrie, Greg Adams and his wife, Rae Lynn all of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Kaye Abshier and husband, Danny of Prairie Grove; seven grandchildren, Jason Adams of Pensacola, Fla., Justin Adams of Arkadelphia, Corey Adams of Elk Hart, Ind., Kristin Adams of Raeford, North Carolina, Patrick Abshier, Robbie Abshier and Ashton Abshier of Prairie Grove; one step-grandchild, Tiffany Gibson of Hot Springs, one great-grandson, and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at Third Street Baptist Church. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Third Street Baptist Church or the Alzheimer Foundation.
