Justin Johnson
Infant Justin Joseph Johnson, age 3 ½ weeks, of Prescott, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
He was born on January 13, 2005, in Arkadelphia, to Danny Joe and Rebecca Ann Dyer Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gilbert Johnson; his maternal grandfather, Clarence Ray Dyer.
His survivors include: Danny Joe and Rebecca Ann Johnson of Prescott; one brother, Jordan Rivers Johnson of Prescott; two sisters, Kristin Angel Johnson and Isabella Elizabeth Johnson of Prescott; paternal grandmother, Sandra Sue Johnson of Rosston; maternal grandmother, Brenda Windham and Andy of Prescott; and maternal great-grandparents, Hazel Lee and William of Hope and Marie Dyer of Blevins.
Graveside services were 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2005, at Caney cemetery in Caney, with Rev. Doug Higgenbotham officiating. Burial followed.
Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends Thursday, February 10, 2005, from 12-5 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Margaret Smith
Mrs. Margaret Alice "Maggie" Smith, 101, of Prescott, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born February 7, 1904, in Nevada County to James and Cordelia Deherice Billingsley.
She was a former employee of Greyhound Bus Co. and receptionist for several hotel/motels and traveled all over. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star of the Prescott/Arkadelphia Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yancey Herbert Smith.
Her survivor include: three nieces, Eva Lou Smith Stanley of Prescott, Juanima Smith of Bridegport, Tex., and Cordelia Klever of Massillion, Ohio; one nephew, James D. Smith of Prescott; special friends, Bea Chase and family of Abilene, Tex. and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2005, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial followed in DeAnn cemetery in Prescott.
Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends Friday, February 11, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Dewey Harrison
Mrs. Dewey Gay Harrion, 72, of Patmos, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Throckmorton, Texas, to John Lawrence and Josephine Ophelia Ball Culp.
She was a retired Road Runner manager.
Survivors include: her husband, Aimon F. "Bill" Harrison of Patmos;
one son, Devins Ray Harrison and Barbara, Fayetteville, N.C.; three daughters, Frances J. Harrison of Patmos, Artie L. McNiel and David of Spring Hill and Angela Ray and John, of Jay, Okla.; one brother, William Culp and Shirley, of Mertzen, Texas; seven grandchildren, D. Ray Harrison and David and Windy McNiel of Hope, Christy and Mike Bryan of Prescott, Danny and Deborah McNiel of Texarkana, Ark., James and Beverly Gardner and Laura Elizabeth Gardner of Grove, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Arkansas Veteran's cemetery, North Little Rock. Burial was under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope. The Rev. Eric Barbaree officiated.
Family and friends were received Sunday, Feb. 13, from 6-8 p.m. at her home in Patmos.

Jim Crider
Mr. Jim Tom Crider, 84, of Nashville, formerly of Hope, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare of Nashville.
He was born Nov. 18, 1920, in Nevada County to Bright and Elizabeth McGough Crider.
He was retired from the City of Hope Street Department, was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church of Nashville, was a strong Christian man and a great witness of God. He loved singing hymns and going to church. He was lovingly devoted to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sister, Lois McClure, Ola Mae Chism and Lovenia Clark, one brother, Eugene Crider, and one grandchild, Shaun Crider.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Crider of Lincoln, Jerry Crider of Shover Springs and Perry Crider of Nashville; one daughter, Carol Golden of Prescott; one sister, Joyce Caudle of Springhill, La.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Short and the Rev. Oliver McKamie officiating. Burial followed in Harmony cemetery, Sutton, under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope
Family received friends Sunday, Feb. 13, from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irene Head
Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Treas Head, 83, of Prescott, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at her home.
She was born March 15, 1921, in Prescott to John William Treas and Trudy Alice Witherspoon Treas.
She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church of the Nubbin Hill Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Everett Head, who died April 28, 2000, and by one brother, William Watson Treas.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles Everett Head and Martha of Prescott, Gaylon Lee Head and Alice of Prescott, Dean Head and Carol of Hope, and Terry Head and Suzanne of Maysville, Ky.; four daughters, Carol Sue Hill and Bill of Prescott, Kay Schane and Glenn of Flower Mound, Texas, Ann "Sam" Hill and Jerry of Delight, and Judy Roberts and Vernon Jr. of Hope; two brothers, Hilton Treas of Prescott and John William Treas of Ashdown; one sister-in-law, Arlene Moses of Hope; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, with the Rev. Coy Zumwalt and the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial followed in Missionary Grove cemetery, Nubbin Hill Community, under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home fo Prescott.
The family received friends Monday, Feb. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Sampson
Williams C. "Sam" Sampson, 73, of Camden, died Monday, February 14, 2005, at the Ouachita County Medical Center.
He was a truck driver.
He is survived by his brothers, Larry Sampson of Magnolia and Billy Wayne Sampson of Camden; sisters, Bobbie Tuberville of Camden, Charlotte Hoffrage of Hot Springs, Linda James and Marilyn Rowlands both of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Kathy Pike of Bentonville; one daughter; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded by death by his parents, Loyd and Lois White Sampson; and two brothers, Dale Sampson and Jack Sampson.
Graveside service was 1 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005, at Morris cemetery at Caney. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Nunnally
Ruth Anne Geddie Nunnally, 71, of Camden, died February 15, 2005.
She was born June 25, 1933, to Ruth Isabel McAdoo and William Alexander Geddie.
preceded in death by one grandson, William Wakefield Nunnally.
Survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert H. Nunnally M.D.; two sons, Robert and his wife Merrill Nunnally of Allen, Texas and Bruce and his wife Ann Nunnally; one grandson, Andrew of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Shanna and her husband Les Berry, their children, Kimberly Berry of Miami, Okla., Lesley Berry, Jr., Chase, and Madison Reed of Stephens; one brother, Ivan Geddie and wife Virginia of Georgetown, Texas; and one sister, Rose Unterschuetz and husband, Ron of Tulsa, Okla.
Anne Nunnally was born in Texarkana, Arkansas. She graduated from Camden High School in 1951 with honors. A graduate of Texas Women's University with a B.S. in Vocational Home Economics, she taught at Central High during the year of integration. She earned her Master's degree from Henderson State University in Counseling. She served on various boards of the First United Methodist Church. She was a former president of Ouachita County Library Board, twice past president of the Ouachita Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Women, Ouachita County Historical Society, and is a permanent member of the Arkansas Historical Association. She was a warrior fighting cancer and showed us all how to live and die with dignity and grace.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Memorial Park cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Anne G. Nunnally Scholarship fund, P.O. Box 86, Camden, Ark. 71711 or First United Methodist Church of Camden Building Fund. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

John Fontana
John Fontana, 78, of Prescott, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005.
He was a retired businessman and an avid fisherman. He was also known as the firework man and trash man.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Schmelzer-Fontana (Hon); children, Debra Williams and husband Glen Williams of Kemah, Texas, Mike and wife Becky Williams of Roselle, Ill., LaDonna Stueart of Prescott, LaShelle Hamilton of Green Cove Springs, Fla., LaToya Hamilton of Prescott, and Benjamin "Bo" and wife Denese Hamilton of Lithonia, Ga.; much loved grandchildren, Ross Williams, Joseph, Luther and Daloris Stueart, Alex Hamilton (Little guy), Na Shea Goetzendanner, LaKeisha, Jaleesa and Rontarious Hamilton, Mitch, Frank, Nick and Little Joe Fontana. Also leaves to cherish his memory numerous beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
Memorial services were at Cothran Chapel CME Church, 422 Greenlawn St. Prescott, on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11 a.m.
