Frank Cash
Frank Cash, 66, of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 31, 1940, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Charles Wyley and Daisy Gertrude Bachelor Cash. He was a cattle rancher and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Wingfield Cash.
Survivors include one son, Bo Cash of Hopkinsville, Ky.; one daughter, Vicki McLelland of Prescott; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, in the DeGray cemetery with the Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Interment was under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Dr. Douglas Haynie
Dr. Douglas Cox Haynie, of Rogers, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at 2:33 a.m., in his home surrounded by family.
Doug was born Feb. 26, 1935, in Prescott to Thurman and Glendene Haynie.
He graduated from Prescott High School in 1958. He attended the University of Arkansas and went on to earn his doctorate of pharmacy from University of Arkansas Medical School. He owned and operated five pharmacies throughout Arkansas during his career and was the senior staff pharmacist at the University of Arkansas Student Health Center since 1995. He was a supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Doug is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deanna Moore Haynie; a son, Bryon Haynie and his wife Becky; two daughters, Karyn Haynie and Elaine Haynie Bridges and husband Jake, all of Rogers; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Tyree and husband Delmar of Prescott; three brothers, George Howard 'Doc' Haynie and wife Mary Lee of Hope, James 'Red' Haynie of Hot Springs, and Earl Wayne Haynie and wife Kay of Prescott; one sister-in-law, Sandra Moore Herzfeld, many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
He gave his life to Christ at the age of eleven and lived his life serving others. He was a member and retired deacon of First Baptist Church of Rogers.
Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Stockdale Funeral Services.
A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church in Rogers, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, with Dr. Wes George, and the Revs. Tommy Hinson and Ben Rowell officiating. Internment was at Oak Grove cemetery on Pleasant Grove Road in Rogers. His nephews served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Fulfilling the Mission Building Fund, 626 W. Olive Street, Rogers, AR, 72756; or Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
All arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Faye Andrews
Mrs. Faye Andrews, 93, of Prescott, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, in a Texarkana hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete time but will be announced by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Florence Tucker
Mrs. Florence Margaret McCants Tucker, 82, of Hope, formerly of Caney, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1925, in Prescott, to William Chester and Gladys Marie Stalcup McCants. She was a homemaker and former nurse’s aid at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L. E. Tucker, who died in November of 2001; one brother, Coy McCants; and two sisters, Bessie Hutchison and Lera Mae Husky.
Survivors include one son, Ronnie G. Tucker and Gail of Hope; one daughter, Charlotte A. Tinsley and Bob of Weatherford, Texas; one brother, Charles McCants of Sulphur Springs, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Coy Tucker, Karena Tinsley Cooper and Jay Tinsley; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, at Caney cemetery in Caney, with the Rev. Jim Cross officiating. Burial followed.
Family received friends Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Kenneth Eason
Kenneth Coy Eason, 46, of Dry Prong, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Marie Eason.
His survived by one son, Benjamin Michael Eason of Hattisburg, Miss.; one daughter, Linda Eason DesOrmeaux of Pineville; his parents, Robert and Mona Graham Eason of Ashdown; two brothers, James Kevin Eason of Ashdown and Robert Keith Eason of Houston, Texas; one grandson, Ian Graham DesOrmeaux; and two nephews, Joshua James Eason and Joseph Coy Eason.
Funeral services were Feb. 16, with George Carr officiating. Burial was private.

Charles Pennington
Charles Pennington Jr., of Gurdon, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1938, in Drew County to Charlie Leonard and Susie Wilson Pennington.
Charles was a plant manager for Arkla Pine Ply mill at Gurdon, a forestry consultant, logging contractor and land agent for Arkansas Louisiana Gas at Shreveport, La. He was a longtime member of the Hoo Hoo International and an Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jane Harris and one brother, Robert Dale Pennington.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Knoblock Pennington; three sons, Stephen, Joey and Mitch, all of Gurdon; one daughter, Crystal Holmes of Lumberton, Texas; one special son, Eddie Uchtman; five grandchildren, Kelli, Presley and Gunner Pennington, and Jake and Katie Holmes; two brothers, Hugh Pennington of Monticello, and Harry Pennington of Germantown, Tenn.; two sisters, Evonne May and Betty Wallis of Monticello; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. at Green Hill cemetery near Monticello.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home. Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home, Gurdon.

Windle Hamilton
Mr. Windle Ray Hamilton, 63, of Buckner, formerly of Emmet, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1943, in Nevada County, to Joe T. and Sarah Louis Ray Hamilton. He was a former Hope policeman, Prescott policeman, and former deputy of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
He was a Baptist and member of the Army National Guard for six years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Bertha Hamilton of Buckner; three daughters, Kristy Colvin of Little Rock, Teresa Williams of Blevins, and K.T. Hamilton of Emmet; one stepson, Wendell Lewis of Waldo; two stepdaughters, Cathy Lewis and Nancy Leslie, both of Magnloia; one brother, Bill Hamilton and Margaret of Emmet; two grandchildren, Lori and Joe Leslie of Magnolia; one great-grandchild, Makala Leslie of Magnolia; two nephews, David Hamilton of Searcy and Jason Hamilton of Emmet; and two stepnephews, Stephen Ponder of Springdale and Tony Ponder of Kingsport, Tenn.
Grave side services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Snell cemetery in Emmet, with the Rev. Richard Brown and the Rev. Andy Hawkins officiating. Burial followed.
Family received friends Monday, Feb. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Cora Bolls
Cora Starnes Bolls, 93, died March 20, 2007, at Westward Trails Manor in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She was born in 1913 to George and Lydia Starnes. She married Roy Bolls in Bradford, Texas. She was employed as secretary at Ashbel Smith Elementary School. The family were members of the Pruitt and Lobit Church of Christ. Upon her husband’s retirement from Exxon, 1971, the family moved to Arkansas.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Herrold of Centennial, Colo.; a son, Jerry Bolls of Nacogdoches, Texas; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Bluff City Church of Christ in Bluff City, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, with burial in the Bluff City cemetery.
Laird Funeral Home of Nacogdoches, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
Local arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

Dennis Pletcher
Dennis Paul Pletcher, age 47, passed away in Houston, Mo., on March 15, 2007.
He was born in Hope on Jan. 13, 1960, to Roger Pletcher and Vena Elder Pletcher.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vena Elder Shores of Hope, one infant brother, Sammy Pletcher; his maternal grandparents, William Thomas Elder and Eva Lorene Elder Garner of Hope; and his paternal grandmother, Rachel Pletcher of Philo, Ohio.
He is survived by his father, Roger Pletcher of Largo, Fla.; his sister, Dena Pletcher of Doyline, La.; his brother, Daniel Pletcher of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a nephew, Sam Pletcher of Bossier City, La.; four aunts, Cindy Miller of Frazierburg, Ohio, Betty Sinist of Zanesville, Ohio, Louise Casey of Hurst, Texas, and Emilie Prescott of Hope; and a number of cousins.
Dennis graduated from Gibbs Senior High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., and had attended the Hope Public Schools. While living in Hope, he worked at Meyer’s Bakeries for about five years.
His cousin, Sandy Carl Huckabee, of Arkadelphia will officiate at a grave side service at Huckabee cemetery in Hope, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. The body was cremated and Dennis is to be buried by his mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huckabee cemetery, c/o Robert Martin, 3609 Hwy. 174 South, Hope, AR 71801. Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope is in charge of local arrangements.

Michael Bratcher
Michael Eugene Bratcher, 53, of North Little Rock, formerly of Prescott, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home.
He was born on July 14, 1953, in Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, to Carrel and Mildred Vandiver Bratcher. He blessed their lives as their first child. Over the course of his lifetime, he blessed many people, family and friends alike with his keen wit and wisdom. His tongue-in-cheek humor and good spirit was a pleasure resulting in many fond and funny memories.
He loved to hunt and fish. He loved nature and just being 'out in the woods.' He loved music, especially blues. He loved to play his drums and spoons. He was a great pool player. He loved NASCAR, the Razorbacks, St. Louis Cardinals, 'ABD' in pro-football, Harley’s and loved to read. More than anything else in the world he loved God and his family and has left a deep impression of his smile and laugh on the minds of his wife and best friend for the past 23 years, Carole; their son, Duke Douglass and his wife Cindi, of Fouke; and their daughter, Casey Douglass Williams of the Redlands, Calif.
He was at the hospital for the births of each of his three grandchildren whom he adored: Cosy Blake Douglass, Cami Mariah Williams and Clint Montgomery Williams III, and they will miss him dearly. Mike will be deeply missed by his parents, Carrel and Elanor Bratcher of Conway; three sisters, Gena Bunker and Russ and Debbie Heath and Lonnie, all of Conway, and Sandy Roberts of Little Rock; one brother, Rex Davis and Rhonda of Vilonia; four nieces, Heather Heath, Chelsey Hess, and Chloe and Aly Brinkley; six nephews, Dylan Murphy, Charlie Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Jason Heath, Chris Morrow and Ridge Davis; his best friends, Jeff Brown, 'The Snowbird', and his pup Gizmobuddyruff, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Russel Kieth 'Rusty' Bratcher, his mother, Mildred Ada Vandiver Lusk; maternal grandparents, Cleo Andrew and Ada Alice Carroll Vandiver; paternal grandparents, Golden Thomas, and Minnie Ora Polk Bratcher.
Mike lived by the motto 'What goes around, comes around.' He never understood how any person could kick another when they were down. He was just a genuinely good person and is now surrounded by Holy Angels and away from pain and evil.
Special thanks to Dr. Agarwal and the UAMS Cancer Research Center and staff, and Arkansas Hospice, especially Sweet Susie Johnston, R.N. and his C.N.A., Marilyn.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with the Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Union Grove cemetery in Doddridge. Mr. Bratcher will lie in state at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, on Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
