Edward Joseph Dolin
(November 21, 1924 - May 14, 2011)

Edward Joseph Dolin, 86, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on May 14, 2011. Eddie was born on November 21, 1924, in High Bridge, NJ to the late Edward Joseph Dolin, Sr. and Helen Landon.

Eddie was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Dolin Perry and Mary Dolin Andreola, two brothers: Johnny and Thomas Dolin all of New Jersey, one grandchild: Xander Cleary of Oklahoma, and one stepson, Isaac C. Rogers of Arkadelphia.

He is survived by Estene Rogers Dolin, his wife and best friend of 7 ½ years; one sister, Ruth Farrell of NJ and four daughters: Darlene (John) Bongers, Pam (Steve) Morrill, and Lisa Gagnon (fiancé Wayne Mitchell) all of California; Sheila (Billy) Cleary of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Eddie had 16 step children: Pat (Danny) Buck, Flora (Bill) Weeks, Chip (Katrina) Rogers, Bill (Denise) Rogers, Coleman (Jamie) Rogers, Chad (Kelly) Rogers, Stan (Melody) Rogers, Carlos Rogers, Stacey (Marci) Rogers, Laura (Jared) Clark, Mandy (Mike) Harris, Waylon (Amanda) Rogers, Jackson (Brittany) Rogers all of Arkansas; Robin (Mike) Conner, Jackie (Rob) Barnwell of Texas; 29 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren.

Eddie enjoyed his retirement after 30 years with Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed life to the fullest and found humor in everything. He loved spending time with his family, camping, riding his John Deere tractor and doing yard work, sitting on his front porch, singing with his family, dancing, and traveling across the United States. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Arkadelphia where he grew in his faith and love for Jesus.

The family wishes to thank Clark County Hospice for assisting with Eddie’s care and extends special thanks and love to Rita Wilson, RN and LaKenya Thomas, CNA.

Family visitation will be held on Monday, May 16th from 6-8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 with Bro. Charles Hargett officiating. Interment at Rogers Family cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chip, Bill, Coleman, Chad, Stan, Carlos, Stacey, Waylon and Jackson Rogers.

Ida Faye Robertson
(November 13, 1926 - August 14, 2011)

Ida Faye Robertson age 84 of Arkadelphia died Sunday. She was born November 13, 1926 in Clark County the daughter of John and Mattie Runyan Turner. She was a member of the Alpine Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Ford Robertson and one son Jackie Robertson.

Survivors include one son, B. K. Robertson and his wife Debbie of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Carolyn Reynolds and her husband Richard of Donaldson, one daughter-in-law, Martha Robertson of Amity, four grandchildren, Leann Sparks, Denise Reynolds and Brandon and Brock Robertson, 3 great grandchildren and a special friend, Rose Ware.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday in the Alpine cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday night at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Meals for Seniors" 1305 N. 10th St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.

Henry Lewis Montgomery
(February 4, 1930 - July 2, 2012)

Henry Lewis Montgomery age 82 of Arkadelphia died Monday, July 2, 2012. He was born February 4, 1930 the son of Albert and Viola Keener Montgomery. He was a retired truck driver for Safeway and affiliated with the Bismarck Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Marg" Montgomery, two sons, Ronald D. Montgomery (Angela) of Little Rock and John Studer of Malvern, one daughter, Norma Carpenter of Tyler, TX, one brother, Bill Montgomery of North Little Rock, one sister, Mae Gregg of North Little Rock, seven grandchildren, David, Bradley and Lewis Montgomery, Christi Curfman, Nikki Willis, Abe and Avery Studer and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, July 5th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Brother Van Glidewell and Sister Mary Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hills cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Coy D. Tims
(June 28, 1927 - May 23, 2011)

Coy D. Tims age 83 of Bismarck, formerly of Arkadelphia, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 23, 2011. He was born June 28, 1927 at Bismarck the son of Harrison and Martha Kinard Tims. He was retired from Reynolds Metals, a home builder, and a Methodist. He was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Tims and a sister Betty Jo Tims.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Thornton Tims, three daughters, Delores Turner and her husband Jerry of Rockwall, TX, Brenda Hasley and her husband Ricky of Arkadelphia, and Rebecca Spradlin and her husband Larry of Bismarck, one sister, Jean Thornton and her husband Leon of Bismarck, six grandchildren, Jereme Turner, Sharlee Purdom, Jason Turner, Chad Spradlin, Ann Tracy, and Coy Hasley, four great grandchildren, Alex Spradlin, Taylor Hasley, Trevor Tracy, and Brooks Purdom.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, May 25th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial in the Hickory Grove cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P. O. Box 1653, Topeka, Kansas 66601-1653.

Sherwin O. Williams Jr.
(May 17, 1960 - June 25, 2012)

Sherwin O. Williams Jr. age 52 died Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born May 17, 1960 the son of Sherwin O. Williams Sr. and Wanda Qualls Williams. He was a computer technician and a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include one daughter, Ashley Williams, his mother Wanda Williams both of Arkadelphia, one sister, Kristi Perser and her husband Brack of Mt. Home and a nephew, Joey Morgan of Springfield, MO.

Graveside funeral services will be 7 PM Wednesday in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens near Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM Wednesday till service time at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Randy Epperson, Phillip Shuffield, Joey Morgan, Lynn Healy, George Qualls, Kristi Perser, Brack Perser and Ashley Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Freeman and Mark Burns.

Memorials may be to First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.

Jerry R. Prince
(Died September 13, 2015)

U.S. Veteran
Jerry R. Prince, of New DeRoche (Hot Spring Co.), died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Jerry trained as an electrician and was a devotee of Tae Kwon Do.

Jerry lived very privately with his dog, Bandit and his Jeep both of whom he enjoyed very much.

Survivors include one sister, Donna Jean Prince Duncan and husband, Bob of New DeRoche; two nieces, Laura Lockhart and husband, Jordan of South Lake, Texas, Lisa Barron and husband, Greg of Grapevine, Texas; one great-niece, Mallory Lockhart; two great-nephews, Duncan Lockhart and Gavin Barron; multiple cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 21st at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone and Bro. Alan Cansler officiating. Family will receive friends 9:00 am Monday until service time at the funeral home.

Roy Springer
May 11, 2014

Roy Ralph Springer, Jr., age 54, of Donaldson, passed from this life on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 25, 1959 in Red Oak, OK, the son of Roy Ralph and Wilma Lee Teel Springer. Roy was the water treatment operator at the Arkadelphia Water Department. He was preceded in death by his father.

Roy is survived by his mother, Wilma (Dale) Miller of Casa, his son, Anthony Rea Springer of Arkadelphia, step-son, John McBride of Donaldson, two step-daughters, Angela Starkey of Donaldson and Kim Walker of Arkadelphia, three brothers, Leon Springer of Ashdown, Ron Springer of JB, OK and Rick Springer of Tulsa, OK, and four grandchildren, Logan Starkey of Donaldson, Kyle Walker of Arkadelphia, Hailey Starkey of Donaldson and Adam Rea Springer of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Leon Springer officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time.

Interment will be in Southfork cemetery in Gurdon.

Pallbearers are Dale Box, Wes Lemons, Ryan Arnold, David Long, Cory Johnson, William Harris, Armando Munoz and Chad Russell.

Honorary pallbearers are The Men and Women of the Arkadelphia Water and Sewer utilities.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul AME Church, 1505 Caddo Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Linda Lou Terrell
(December 22, 1945 - September 11, 2011)

Linda Lou Brady Terrell age 65 of Dalark, AR died Sunday, September 11, 2011. She was born December 22, 1945 the daughter of Curtis and Thelma Lou Hardwick Brady. She was a retired Registered Nurse with Baptist Health in Little Rock and Arkadelphia and a member of the Dalark United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David Terrell and a grandson, Joshua David Vaden.

Survivors include two sons, Gary John Vaden and his wife Ginny of Johnson, Iowa and David Alan Vaden and his wife Kelly Grace of Bentonville, AR, two daughters, Vanessa Lynn Smith and her husband Scott of Sherwood, AR and Amber Ann Vaden of Murfreesboro, TN, six grandchildren, Paige Vaden, Ryan Vaden, Caleb Smith, Lindsey Edwards, Taylor Edwards, and Andrew Vaden.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, September 15th in the Dalark United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Atchley cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Memorials may be made to the Atchley cemetery Fund or Dalark United Methodist Church.

Wallace Elvin Duncan
(March 17, 1945 - March 25, 2012)

Wallace Duncan age 69, of Bismarck, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his home. He was born March 17, 1943, the son of the late Herman Lee and Maudie Adell Arthur Duncan. Wallace was a mechanic working at Wal-Mart Tire & Lube Store in Arkadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, James Duncan, L. D. Duncan, George Duncan and Darrell Duncan.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Duncan; his children, Tonya Compton of Hughes Springs, Texas, Holly Avery of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, Darrell Duncan of Bismarck, Arkansas and Herman Lee Duncan of Wichita, Kansas; three brothers, Don Duncan of Jessieville, Arkansas, Melvin Duncan of Monument, Oregon and Gary Duncan of Clare, Iowa; one sister, Marlene Hodges of Bismarck, Arkansas; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 28th at Oak Bower cemetery near Bismarck with Gary Thornton officiating. Pallbearers will be Buddy Hodges, Tim Hodges, Lee Hodges, Gary Duncan, Don Duncan and Danny McMahan. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to Arkansas Hospice of Hot Springs for the care provided to them.

Pauline Joanna Burson
(December 1, 1922 - October 29, 2011)

Pauline Joanna Womack Taylor Burson age 88 of Arkadelphia joined her heavenly father and loved ones on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born December 1, 1922, in Dallas Co. the daughter of the late A. J. and Thelma Lawrence Womack. She was a longtime member of Waverly Methodist Church at Wave, AR. (Dallas Co.). Mrs. Burson was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rupert A. Taylor; son, Robert A. (Sid) Taylor; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Billy Joe Burson; one daughter, Thelma Jean Herndon (Thommie) of Little Rock; one son, Bruce Burson of Gum Springs; daughter-in-law, Wanda Taylor of Camden; one brother, Troy Womack of Camden; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Atkins, Lisa Armstrong (Jim), Brett Herndon (Ramona), Bart Herndon (Amy), Ashley Eldridge (Scott), Tony Taylor (Mandy), Roger Taylor (Judy), Adam Taylor and Baylee Burson; sixteen great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Charles Burson (Diane); many other special relatives and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 31st at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Richland cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Waverly Methodist Church.
