Deborah Gayle Williams
(January 25, 1961 - August 8, 2015)

Deborah Gayle Jackson Williams, age 54 of Friendship, was born January 25th 1961, to the late Cletis and Sue Jackson. She has four sisters, Pat Tucker, Linda Divine, Tina Barns, and Tonya Furr. She also has one brother, Chris Jackson. Deborah left this world on Saturday, August 8, 2015. She had a beautiful soul and touched many lives. She made many handmade gifts for family and friends, each one will be cherished forever. Deborah enjoyed singing, gardening, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog Trixie.

She married her soul mate and love of her life, Jim Williams, on July 2nd 1977. They spent everyday together for 38 years. From their marriage and their love, two daughters were born to them. Their oldest, Miranda Williams age 37 and her spouse, Ronnie Williams from Magnet Cove. Their youngest, Chrystal Williams age 34 and her spouse Brian Prickett from Bryant. From their daughters, they we're gifted five grandchildren, Jacob Lane age 18, Ashlee Williams age 15, Michelle Ivey age 14, Heaven Williams age 12, and Shelby Beaty age 11.

Pallbearers will be Jim Williams, Brian Prickett, Ronnie Williams, Roger Frazier, Roy Trout, Jeff Williams, Chris Jackson, and Vernon McMahan.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Sunday, August 9th at Neighbors cemetery in Midway. A celebration of her life will be held afterwards at Midway Community Center. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, in care of the Williams Family P.O. Box 313 Donaldson AR, 71941, or in person to Deborah' s husband Jim to help pay for her funeral expenses.

Gertrue Railes Lovell
(October 19, 1918 - January 27, 2015)

GERTRUE RIALES POLLARD LOVELL, age 96 of Little Rock died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Owasso, OK. She was born October 19, 1918 in Clark County Arkansas to Rev Hiram C. Riales and Alice Virginia (Fulton) Riales. She was married December 24, 1938 to Frank Jefferson Pollard, who passed away in 1965. She married Buel Lovell in October, 1972. She lived in Arkadelphia, Hot Springs and Little Rock and worked for the Retirement Division of the State of Arkansas, retiring after 30 years of service. She was active during her working years in the Business and Professional Women’s organization in Little Rock. She loved flowers and was busy with her flowers and gardening for many years. She moved to the Baptist Village Independent Living Retirement Center in Owasso, Oklahoma in 2000 to be near her only child, Ann.

She professed faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and was a long time member of South Highland Baptist Church and then Geyer Springs Baptist Church in Little Rock where she loved to sing in the choir and participated in the ukelele band. She was always active in her Sunday School classes card, visitation and meals ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Jefferson Pollard (1965); husband Buell Lovell (1999); sister Annie B. Buck Jones; nephew Lewis Edward Buck; step-children Buel Dean Barlow, Midge Davis, and Joe Lovell; great-grandson Cade Randal Crenshaw; and step-granddaughter Terri Davis.

Mrs. Lovell is survived by her daughter Ann Pollard Ridgell (Bob) and grandson Kevin of Collinsville, OK; granddaughter Krista Ridgell Crenshaw (Bruce) of Burleson, Tx. Great-grandchildren: Karis Crenshaw and Kale Crenshaw of Burleson, TX; niece: Dorthy Buck; great niece Cheryl Stafford and great nephew Ronnie Buck; step grandchildren: Sharon Lovell Glenn, Keith Lovell, Kelly Long and Bill Barlow; and many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and step great-grandchildren.

She leaves a priceless heritage as a godly wife, caring and influential mother, grandmother and friend to so many who will miss her deeply.

Mrs. Lovell’s funeral will be at 11AM Saturday, January 31, with visitation at 10AM until service time at Ruggles - Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Burial will be at Richland cemetery.

Grace Myrtle Chunn
(April 23, 1917 - February 14, 2012)

Grace Myrtle Chunn age 94 of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. she was born April 23, 1917 in Sunshine, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lewis and Rosa Kassaw. Grace was a homemaker and attended New Life Church in Arkadelphia. She loved to work in her yard and enjoyed her weekly prayer meetings with her friends. Laughter was very important to Grace as well as spending precious time with her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wade Chunn, four brothers and four sisters.

Grace is survived by three sons, Gary (Madonna) Chunn of Orlando, FL, Donnie Chunn of San Francisco, CA, and Robert (Cathy) Chunn of Okolona, four grandchildren, Kristi (Jeff) DeCarlo of Orlando, FL, Kathy Miller of Melbourne, FL, Randy Chunn of Tampa, FL, Mandy (Mike) Wilson of Sheridan, eight great grandchildren, Kyle and Lindsey DeCarlo of Orlando, FL, Kailyn, Braden and Morgan Miller of Melbourne, FL, Dylan Chunn of Philadelphia, PA, Libby Grace and Max Wilson of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 17, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home with Dr. Martin Jones officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Bruce Albright, Doug Kassaw, Marshall Kassaw, Kenneth Moody, Randy Moody and Mike Wilson.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Bobby Glen Carr
(February 12, 1948 - June 16, 2012)

Bobby Glen Carr age 64 of Glenwood died Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was born February 12, 1948 the son of Guy and Rachel Lloyd Carr. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Elizabeth Carolyn Burrow.

Survivors include his mother, Rachel Carr of Glenwood, a brother, Cecil Wayne Carr of Glenwood, and a sister Marsha Vick and her husband Kenneth of Alpine.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Monday in the Alpine cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. There will be no formal visitation.

Wanda Janice Dillard
(February 12, 1946 - June 12, 2012)

Wanda Janice (Curtis) Dillard, age 66, passed away June 12, 2012 in Delray Beach, FL. Wanda was born February 12, 1946 in Caddo, Arkansas and was the daughter of Luther and Florene Curtis. She grew up in Gurdon, Arkansas where while working at the Daisy Queen she met the love of her life, John Wayne Dillard. John and Wanda married on September 23, 1961 and raised three children whom they loved dearly. Wanda made lifelong friends everywhere she lived, whether in Arkansas, Kansas, Texas or Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Florene Curtis, and John her husband of 42 years. She is survived by her three children, daughter Shanna Dillard-Waters of Lake Worth FL, sons Terry Dillard of Magnolia, TX, and Tom Dillard of Yukon, OK. She also leaves behind 9 beloved grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday June 30, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel. The family will receive visitors starting at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wanda Dillard's name may be sent to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

Matt Turner
(January 8, 1980 - October 6, 2012)

Matthew Gary Turner, 32, of Arkadelphia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2012 following a car accident. Matt was born January, 8 1980 in Arkadelphia, AR. He was the first son of Lisa and the late Gary Turner. He attended Arkadelphia High School where he played football and baseball. Matt began his college career at University of Southern Mississippi before transferring to his hometown where he played quarterback for Ouachita Baptist University. He graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. Matt met the love of his life, Julee Bell in their hometown of Arkadelphia and began dating in September 2000. They were married January 13, 2007 at Third Street Baptist Church, where his father was a long time pastor. His dream of a family was fulfilled when his daughter, Preslee Bell was born November 29, 2011.

Matt started his media career by doing high school play-by-play, serving as an intern at Hootens Football Magazine and KATV Sports. He was hired by KNWA (NBC) in Northwest Arkansas in 2003. He first covered the Razorbacks and then was promoted to nightly news anchor in 2006 before moving to Little Rock to work as the nightly news anchor at Today’s THV in August of 2012 (CBS). Matt was voted best news anchor by several publications, was named to the Arkansas Business Journal's "40 Under 40" list for achievement in business, and won first place for a sports story by the Arkansas Society of Professional Journalists. He was considered a rising star in the television news business. He volunteered his time at numerous charities and had a heart for cancer research after losing his dad to cancer seven years ago. Matt always loved and protected his family and his greatest asset was his love for his daughter Preslee. He always put his family and friends ahead of himself and was constantly thinking ahead and planning on their behalf. Matt was proud of his hometown and never missed a chance to return home to visit family and friends. Matt was a man of integrity and had a strong faith in God. Matt and Julee were members of Cross Church in Fayetteville, AR.

He is survived by his wife Julee of Little Rock and his daughter Preslee. He is also survived by his mother Lisa Turner of Arkadelphia and brother Andy Turner (Chelsey) of Benton and his grandparents, Ray and Hilda Wingfield of Arkadelphia and E.T. Pruitt of Gurdon.

Visitation with the family is Tuesday, October 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. A Memorial service honoring Matt’s life will be Wednesday, October 10, at 1p.m. at Third Street Baptist Church. A private burial service for family will follow. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at Summit Bank and Southern Bancorp for Julee and Preslee Turner.

Frances Benton Echols
(September 7, 1918 - March 7, 2012)

Frances Benton Echols age 93 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at The Pines Nursing Home in Hot Springs. She was the daughter of F.E. and Minnie Powell Benton. She was born September 7, 1918 at Chidester.

Frances was the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. She was a member of the church for 64 years. She served on many church committees. Frances supervised the church nursery for many years. She also directed the college department training union.

Cooking for large groups of family and friends was among her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed playing the piano. She enjoyed politics. She worked hard for her favorite candidates. She was the youngest of seven children. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold G. Echols, son Wayne Echols, two sisters, Estelle Shankle Hardin and Mabel McCaskill, and four brothers, Ernest, L.T., Jay and Hubert Benton.

She is survived by a son, William Echols of Arkadelphia. Frances adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her granddaughters are Wendy Walker of Princeton, Texas and Dr. Rebecca Bond (Dr. Ken Bond) of Prague, OK. Her great grandchildren are Emily Gay and Alex Gay of Princeton, TX and Montrey Bond, Carlton Bond and Jonah Bond of Prague, OK.

A Memorial service will be 1 PM Saturday, March 10th in the First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Private family burial will be in the Jones cemetery in Amity.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Pines for their care of Frances. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Clark County or the First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.

Florence Ann Magby
(Died February 27, 2012)

Florence Ann Magby age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012, at her home. She was born July 17, 1926 the daughter of the late John and Ellen Deegan Vaughn of New Jersey. She was a member of T.O.P.S. and attended the First United Pentecostal Church. Her husband, J. D. Magby preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, J. D. Magby of Haskell, Arkansas; George Magby of Arkadelphia; three daughters, Bobbi Magby and Sue Magby Shaw both of Arkadelphia; Lynne Oldham of Yacolt, Washington; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 3rd in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Price officiating. Burial will be in Copeland Ridge cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Pauline Pasley
(August 20, 1935 - May 13, 2012)

Pauline Pasley 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2012. She was Born August 20, 1935 to Charles and Primmie Bingham in Beaton, AR. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, J.L. Pasley and one son, Michael Pasley and one sister, Maureen Deichmeister. She was a member of Lambert Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Steve Pasley and wife Crystal of Hot Springs, Stan Pasley and wife Kathy of Bismarck, five grandchildren, Chris Pasley and Heather Blasingame of Bismarck, Tiffany Contreras of Hot Springs, Shannon Murrell of Linneus, MO, Wayne Pasley of Houston, TX, and 13 great-grandchildren, two brothers Melvin Bingham of Bismarck, Lindsey Sutton of Mesquite, Tx, three sisters, Alpha Ursich of San Pedro, CA, Margaret Tarpley of Bismarck and Donna Jackson of Donaldson and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 16th at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ with Brother Bernard Esclante officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Cyrus Timothy Rayner III
(December 2, 1927 - February 9, 2012)

Cyrus Timothy Rayner, III, age 84 of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Courtyard Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born in New Orleans on December 2, 1927, the son of the late Lester James Hewett and Beulah Benton Beard Rayner. Tim worked in sales in the heating and air industry and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia and a former member of the New Orleans Jaycees. Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife, Hildred Runyan Rayner, one daughter, Leslie Rehman and her husband, David, of Dallas, one son, Tim Rayner of Oklahoma City, one sister, Benny Wollerson of Alexandria, LA and one granddaughter, Lauren Rehman.

A private family memorial service was held at Welch Funeral Home with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Interment followed in Jones cemetery at Amity.

Memorials may be made to Jones cemetery Fund, c/o Dorlene Beene, 316 N. Hill Street, Amity, AR 71921 or First Baptist Church, 701 Pine Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
