Staci Regina Wilson
(October 15, 1966 - January 25, 2012)

Staci Regina Wilson, age 45 of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her home. She was born on October 15, 1966 in Hot Springs, the daughter of J. T. Gerald and Ina Faye Killian Ledbetter. Staci was a homemaker and was associated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a member of the Kirby High School Class of 1985 and received numerous tennis awards in Arkadelphia. Staci was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Dana Jill Ledbetter.

She is survived by her husband, John William Wilson, two daughters, Alden Giovanna Wilson of Arkadelphia and Erika Kersey (Mac) Carrell of Ashdown, two sons, Cade Harrison Kersey and Colton Connor Kersey both of Arkadelphia, her mother, Ina Faye Ledbetter of Lodi and her brother, Tracy Charles Ledbetter of Lodi.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home with Russ Walker officiating.

Memorials may be made to Children's Miracle Network, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.

Final arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Robert James Ruhs
(February 7, 1933 - January 22, 2012)

U.S. Veteran
Robert James Ruhs of Hot Springs, AR passed away on January 22, 2012. He was born February 7, 1933 in Waterloo, IA the son of the late Otto Martin and Alta LaMaster Ruhs. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Henry 'Hank' Dietrech.

Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Sue, two daughters, Linda (Neil Hartman) Ruhs of Gilbertville, IA and Debbie McClain of Fairbank, IA, one son, Collin Ruhs of Waterloo, IA, two sisters, Charlotte French of Sarepta, LA and Marie (Jerry) Easter of Waterloo, IA, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great grand children and nieces and nephews.

Robert was of the Lutheran faith, served in the United State Air Force, and was a member of the Waterloo Police Department before serving twenty-one years of service for John Deere as supervisor of the component works department. After retiring in 1986, he move to Florida and later to Hot Springs where he met his wife, Susy. He worked around the boating industry in both Florida and Hot Springs, which he had a great love for. They enjoyed the lakes in the area and rv'ing the USA, along with antique car and boat shows. He was a man of integrity, loved his country and loved sharing his knowledge on all things to help family and friends or strangers.

At his request, there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Guardian Angel Cat Shelter, 1540 Malvern Ave Hot Springs, AR. He had a great fondness of cats - he loved their quiet, independence and loving spirit

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Odyssey Healthcare and National Park Medical Center and a special thanks to Marcie and Jim.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Linda Coston Miller
(June 27, 1956 - August 6, 2011)

Linda Coston Miller age 55, of Arkadelphia, died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at her home. She was born June 27, 1956 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas the daughter of Edward Ray Coston and Betty Sue Collins Stover and step-father, William "Mutt" Stover. Linda was the local revenue agent in Clark County for fifteen years and was the assistant district manager for Southwest Arkansas Revenue Division before retirement. She was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, and one brother, Otis Ray Coston.

Survivors include her husband, Duane Miller; one daughter, Leslie Miller of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Robert Stover of Arkadelphia, James Coston and wife, Pat of Malvern; one sister, Susan Gordon and husband, Johnny of Hot Springs; one aunt, Gerry Carter of Hollywood, Arkansas; one niece, Stephanie Hebert of Hot Springs; three nephews, Nicholas Coston of Greenwood, Arkansas, Luke Coston of Florida, Eric Coston of Hot Springs; and one sister-in-law, Sandy Coston of Royal, Arkansas.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Crawley officiating. The family will receive friends 4:00 PM Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.

Cleda Freeman
(February 15, 1934 - January 21, 2012)

Cleda Yvonne Freeman left this earth to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012. She was born on February 15, 1934 to the late Joseph Clark and Katie Gardner Childress. As a home economics teacher for over twenty years, Mrs. Freeman prepared young women and men to be competent in their homes. Later she taught them how to live their lives in Christ. She studied the scriptures at her grandfather’s knee and throughout her life.

Cleda shared her passion for the Lord alongside her husband of 60 years, Rev. Billy Freeman of Bismarck. She is also survived by her children:Carrolyn (Ron) Tucker of Bismarck, Eugene (Lu) Freeman of Park Ridge, IL and Charles (Jackie) Freeman of Collinsville, IL, her sister, Linda (Dewey) Small of Jacksonville, FL, her brother, Ferrell (Sheila) Childress of Glenwood, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home with Ricky Collie officiating.

Interment will be in Hart cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hart cemetery, c/o Thelma Dixon, 3705 Pine Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Tommy Joe Crews
(October 25, 1953 - June 24, 2011)

Tommy Joe Crews age 57 of Little Rock formerly of Gurdon, died Friday, June 24, 2011. He was a former assistant superintendent at Burns Park Golf Course. He was born October 25, 1953 in Delight, Arkansas, the son of Johnny and Clara Copeland Crews.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Todd Crews; sisters, Johnnie Mae Miller and Marie Lingo; brothers, James Crews and Bobby Crews.

Survivors include wife, Ima Jo Crews; son, Michael Crews and wife, April; granddaughter, Kayla Crews; three step-grandsons, Andrew, Bailey and Hunter; three brothers, Clarence Crews of Oklahoma; Gary (Jackie) Crews of Gurdon; Glen Taylor of Little Rock and one sister, Virginia Brooks of North Little Rock.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 28th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Ernesto Juarez officiating. Little Rock memorial graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Rest Hills Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock with Rev. Joel Holmes and Rev. Keith Morris officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time.

Ollen Laron Francis
(August 31, 1944 - January 5, 2012)

Ollen Laron Francis, age 67 of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at his daughter's home in Delight. He was born on August 31, 1944 in Arkadelphia, the son of John Clarence and Bonnie Mae Davis Francis. Ollen was a truck driver for CJ Horner and was previously employed with Ouachita Marine Boat Plant and Acme Brick Company. He was a member of the National Guard. Ollen was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Charlotte Whitley Francis.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Reynolds of Bossier City, LA, his daughter, Delores (Wesley) Rutherford of Delight, two sons, Michael (Alice) Francis of Arkadelphia and Keith (Lisa) Francis of Okolona, his sister, Mary Francis of Bossier City, LA, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and another on the way, and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God Church with Bro. Rick Mays officiating.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Linda Sue Berland
(February 3, 1950 - December 1, 2011)

Linda Sue Berland age 61 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, formerly of Gurdon passed from this life on December 1, 2011 in Minnesota.

Corda Omegene Catlett
(August 16, 1929 - December 17, 2011)

Corda Omegene Catlett, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Courtyard Gardens Health and Rehabilitation in Arkadelphia. She was born on August 16, 1929 in Colt, AR the daughter of the late J. O. and Lovie May Allgood Mercer. Corda was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Richard Catlett, her daughter, Betty Marie Ann Catlett, her son, Raymond Lewis Catlett, five brothers, Jimmy, Frank, Sanford, Orgil and Roy Brock and three sisters, Momie Moncrief, Flora Chetham and Carrie Easter.

Corda is survived by four daughters, Imogene Little of Vilonia and Paulette Polly, Nancy Howell and Peggy Rankin of Arkadelphia, one son, Richard Catlett of Arkadelphia, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, with Bro. Rick Mays officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Kensett cemetery in Searcy, with Pastor Greg Caswell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Cecil, Tony and Trent Derry, Brandon Skinner, Jackson LeGuin and Zachary Karr.

Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 442 Mount Zion Road, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Floyd Joseph Cornellier, Jr.
(August 9, 1942 - December 17, 2011)

Floyd Joseph Cornellier, Jr, , age 69, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on August 9, 1942 in Cornell, Wisconsin, the son of the late Floyd Joseph and Ivis Briggs Cornellier, Sr. Floyd was a truck driver and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a United States Army veteran.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Wanda Baker Cornellier, three daughters, Tammy Smith and Patricia Gardner of St. Louis, MO and Cora Cornellier of Arkadelphia, four sons, Jim Cornellier of St. Louis, MO, Sonny Cornellier and Sky Cornellier of Louisiana and Shawn Reynolds of Arkadelphia, one sister, Sandy Dodge of Houston, TX, four brothers, Cecil, Scotty, Bill & Oley Cornellier and eleven grandchildren, Nick, Breanne and Kyle Cornellier, Miranda, Daniel and Mallory Smith, Cadence and Cameron Cornellier, Katlen, Jarid and Kylie Gruender and one step grandchild Hunter Francis.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Caddo Valley, with Mark Thoeny officiating.
