Longtime resident of Hot Springs, Jarrard was the consummate salesman -- with devoted student insurance clients in secondary schools and universities across the state.

When not on the road meeting with school administrators, Jarrard's favorite pastime was playing the horses, especially at Oak Lawn in Hot Springs and other famous racetracks in the American heartland.

He moved into the student insurance business in the mid-1980s, living first in Little Rock before moving to Hot Springs, and built a client base that rivaled all others in the state of Arkansas.
