John Shores
May 9, 1940 - September 20, 2015
Bentonville, Arkansas
John Richard Shores, 75, of Bentonville, AR passed away Sunday,
September 20, 2015 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born May 9, 1940
in Rogers, AR to Raymond Oscar and Ruby Beaver Shores.
He owned and operated Bentonville Furniture, Inc. in downtown
Bentonville for 40 years until he and his wife, Mary Kay, closed the
store and retired in May of 2000. He was past president of the
Arkansas Home Furnishings Association and was a 2011 Retail
Inductee into the Arkansas Home Furnishings Association Hall of
Fame. John was an active supporter of the Bentonville community,
and he worked behind the scenes for decades to help develop
downtown Bentonville. In the late 70’s, he founded the non-profit
organization Downtown Development, Inc., and he continued to serve
on the board until his death. He helped to form the Downtown
Bentonville Parking District and served as its commissioner for many
years. He served on the Bentonville City Council, the Benton County
Historical Society and was a volunteer firefighter in his early years.
He was a faithful member of First United Methodist church in
Bentonville for over 25 years where he served as a trustee and as a
member of several committees. He was active in Methodist’s Men’s
Ministry and cooked breakfast for the men every Tuesday morning.
For many years he transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the
quilts made by Granny’s Quilts Ministry.
In his spare time, John enjoyed traveling in his RV with Mary Kay,
making Artesia wood wall art and stain glass pieces, restoring old
Volkswagens, and spending time with family and friends.
John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Kay Shores;
daughter, Sandy Loveless and husband, Matt, and son, Gregg Shores
and wife, Lori all of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Mary Beth, Luke
and Jon Thomas Loveless and Justin Shores all of Bentonville, and
Kayla Fitts of Harrison; and two great-grandchildren, Kynslie and
Kaidyn of Harrison.
A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 23,
2015 at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 24,
2015 at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with the Rev.
Dr. Kurt Boggan officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Hart
cemetery on South Rainbow Road in Bentonville.
Memorials may be made in his honor to First United Methodist
Church, 201 NW 2nd Street, Bentonville, AR 72712.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral
Services of Rogers.

Glen Doris Wolfe
June 24, 1939 - September 29, 2015
Bella Vista, Arkansas
Glen Doris Wolfe, 76, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away
Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.
He was born June 24, 1939 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Doris
William Wolfe and Elsie Mae Clark Wolfe.
Glen was the winningest college football coach of the decade
in the 80’s. However, his greatest accomplishment was the
impact that he made on so many young lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers,
Larry and Steve.
Glen is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Baker Wolfe;
two sons, Gregory Wolfe and wife Shannon, Michael Wolfe
and wife Tammy ; four grandsons, Brenner, Ketcher, Strael,
Tyler; three granddaughters, Bailee, Mackey, Taylor; four
brothers, Tommy Wolfe, Ricky Wolfe, Dallas Wolfe, Billy
Wolfe; two sisters, Ruth Gorman, Judy Wolfe and many lives
he touched during the years he coached.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00PM this evening at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, October 5,
2015 at First Baptist Church in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with
the Rev. Paul Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in
Tishomingo City cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody
Funeral Services of Rogers.

Velma E. Lynk
July 5, 1919 - March 6, 2015
Bella Vista, Arkansas
Velma E. Lynk, former long-time resident of Gladbrook, Iowa, died in Bella Vista, AR on March 6,
2015 of natural causes at the age of 95.

Velma was the daughter of Ray and Mae Eitel and was born on July 5, 1919, in Hansell, Iowa. The
family later moved to Hampton where her parents owned and operated a dairy farm. She graduated
from Hampton High School in 1937 and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids for one year after high
school.

In 1941 she was married to Ray Lynk of Eldora. They owned and operated a dry-cleaning business
in Gladbrook for 25 years. She then worked at the local grocery store for a few years as well as
gave piano lessons to area children.

Velma had a lifetime love of music and played the piano and organ in the Methodist Church in
Hampton for many years. She also excelled on the cornet and played in the Hampton High School
band as well as in the municipal band while living in Hampton and accompanied many soloists over
the years on the piano or organ. She was an avid reader and also a big fan of Iowa Hawkeye
basketball.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Ray, in 1981, her parents, and three brothers. In 2008 she
moved to Bentonville, Arkansas to live with her daughter.

Surviving are her daughters, Marcia (Bob, deceased) Haines of Bentonville, AR, Susan (Ray) Frimml
of Brooklyn, IA; grandson, Dave (Shiela) Frimml of Festus, MO; granddaughter, Cheryl (Darwin)
Hart of Colorado Springs, CO; step-granddaughters, Karen Bridges of Rogers, AR, Marcie Haines of
Springfield, MO; great-granddaughters, Avery and Emme Frimml; great-grandson, Eli Frimml;
three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, of Leonardtown, MD; a sister-in-law of Brookings, SD and
several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Private graveside services will
be held at the Maple Hill cemetery in Gladbrook. Arrangements are being made by the
Moody-Stockdale Funeral Home of Rogers, AR and the Anderson Funeral Home of Gladbrook, IA.
Memorials may be made to the Gladbrook Public Library, 301 2nd Street, Gladbrook, IA 50635 or
to a charity of your choice.

Barbara Jean Mott
August 13, 1937 - June 20, 2015
Rogers, Arkansas

Barbara Jean (Tate) Mott was called home to heaven to the presence of her
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 20, 2015 from Omaha, AR where she
lived with Perry & Julie Mott. Barbara also reunited with her best friend
and husband of 54 years, Dewayne J. Mott, who preceded her in death on
June 10, 2009.

Barbara Jean (Tate) Mott born August 13, 1937 to Otis Lafayette Tate and
Pearl (Walters) Tate in Fort Smith, AR.

Barbara grew up in Roland, OK where she played High School basketball
and as a teen lead singing in church (Granny Tate played the piano).
Barbara met the young sailor Dewayne and became his bride at 17 years of
age on Oct. 1, 1954. Barbara was a home-maker, faithfully served in church
ministry, and worked in business adventures with her husband. Together,
they raised four boys and were greatly involved in the lives of their
grandchildren. Barbara loved cooking, serving, and sharing in the lives of
her family and friends. Barbara loved to travel, work in the yard, and do
about anything as long as she was next to Dewayne; you rarely saw one
without the other. Barbara was a member of First Landmark Missionary
Baptist Church, Bentonville, AR.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers,
one daughter (Pamela Denise), one son (John Paul) and one great-
granddaughter (Kallie Jean McCullough).

The past six years she has missed her best friend greatly; but she continued
to love her growing family. Barbara is survived by and will be deeply
missed by:

One sister: Sue Reagan - Colcord, OK; four sons and their spouses:
Randall & Shannon of Austin, TX, Perry & Julie of Omaha, AR, Jeffrey &
Lee of Rogers, AR, and Todd & Maria of Siloam Springs, AR; 10
grandchildren and their spouses: Amber McCullough (Adam), Jodie Cole
(Danny), Rowdy Mott (Samantha), Corey Mott (Brittany), Jessikah Kelley
(Lane), Hunter Mott, Lacey Smith (Justin), Joshua Mott (Jamie), Spencer
McMurtrey, and Tylor McMurtrey; 13 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Kenneth,
Brooklynn, MacKenzie, Moriah, Alecia, Dakota, Bailey, Devin, Falon,
Adam, Chevie, and Katelynn. Barbara will also be greatly missed by a host
of extended family and friends.

It is with great sadness and great joy that the sons of Barbara invite friends
and family to join in the celebration of the going home of their mother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2015 at First
Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville, AR with Pastor Terry
Simmons and Pastor Eugene (Chip) Reagan officiating. Burial will be at 3:
30 PM in Roland City cemetery in Roland, OK.
Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Services in Rogers, AR.

Patsy Yates Reeves
June 24, 1930 - October 21, 2015
Bentonville, Arkansas
Patsy Yates Reeves, 85, of Bentonville, Arkansas died
Wednesday October 21, 2015.

She was born in Bentonville on June 24, 1930 to Florence and
Floyd M. Yates. She grew up and attended school in
Bentonville. She went to work when she was 13 at the Massey
Hotel coffee shop, worked for the Bentonville telephone
company from 1948 to 1949.

She married W.J. Reeves of Rogers in 1949 and moved to
Wyoming. They lived in various places until 1959, when they
moved to Houston, Texas for 25 years. She transferred back to
Fayetteville and continued to work for Apac until she retired in
1993. They moved back to Bentonville in 1994.

Patsy was proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, her
sisters; Mildred Woodruff of Rogers, Fern Banks, Norma
Craig, Flora Scoggins, her brother, A.J. Yates all of
Bentonville, and sister, Mary Katherine Pillot of New Orleans.

She is survived by her nephew, David Scoggins of Powell,
MO; nieces, Jo Bennett of Phoenix, AZ and Sue Robb of
Springfield, MO and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00PM, Friday, October 23,
2015 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, October
24, 2015 at the Downtown Church of Christ in Rogers. Burial
will follow at the Bentonville cemetery.

Gary Dean Reinboth
January 10, 1938 - January 4, 2015
Rogers, Arkansas
Gary Dean Reinboth, 76, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015.
He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Deshler, Neb., to Carl and Laura Reinboth.

Gary was hired by Sam Walton and worked with Walmart for over 20 years.
He was very passionate about his job and the people that made Walmart a
success. At the time of his retirement he was regional vice president.

He was a member of Central United Methodist Church for many years.

Living on the 11th hole at Pinnacle Country Club, he was happiest sitting on
his back porch visiting and sharing a glass of wine with the golfers that stopped
by to swap stories, to talk about the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team or
anything the Razorbacks were doing. It was very clear to everyone that knew
Gary that his greatest joy was his wife, Lois, his two children and his
wonderful grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Adella Siebenniecher and Oliva
Cabrerra; and brothers, Bill Reinboth, Ev Reinboth and Pete Reinboth.

Gary is survived by his precious wife of 54 years, Lois Robinson Reinboth;
son, Scott Reinboth and his husband, David Shelfo, of New Hope, Pa.;
daughter, Stephanie Reinboth and her husband, Jeff Lynch, of East Hampton,
N.Y.; grandchildren, Basil Lynch of San Diego, Calif., Gage Lynch, Sutton
Lynch and Scout Lynch, all of East Hampton, N.Y.; sisters, Lucille Hofts of
Deshler, Neb., and Opal Hoage of Lincoln, Neb.; brother, Don Reinboth of
Bruning, Neb.; and many dear friends.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Central
United Methodist Church in Rogers, with the Rev. Carness Vaughn officiating.
Private burial will be in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.

Out of Gary’s great love for his wife, Lois, and in lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association in Gary’s name. Donations
can be sent to 210 N. Walton Blvd. #25, Bentonville, AR 72712.

Lois, Scott and Stephanie want to thank Gary’s loving community of friends
and family for their outpouring of support. We all loved Gary deeply.

Robert "Bob" Thornton
June 26, 1922- November 15, 2015
Rogers, Arkansas

Robert 'Bob' Thornton, 93, of Bentonville, AR passed
away peacefully on November 15, 2015 in Rogers, AR.

Bob married his sweetheart, Frieda Lynch in 1943; she
preceded him in death in 2014. He is also preceded in
death by one son, Stephen Thornton.

Bob is survived by one grandson, Stephen Thornton Jr.
and one granddaughter, Judith Ann Thornton; 2 great-
grandsons and 1 great-great grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday,
November 20, 2015 at the Bentonville City cemetery
with the Rev. Katie Cummings officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody
Funeral Services of Rogers.

Yvonne Bose Baker
August 27, 1946 - August 3, 2015
Rogers, Arkansas
Yvonne Bose Baker, 68, of Rogers, AR passed away Monday, August 3,
2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR. She was born August 27,
1946 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Edward and Margaret Bose.

Yvonne graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Ok and
Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. She was previously a full
time substitute teacher in the Rogers Elementary School System and of the
Baptist faith.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; uncle and aunt, Fred and
Mary Bose Wagner; sisters, Anna Marie Bose, Lucille Bose Streeb and
brothers, Victor Bose, Donald Bose, Edward Bose, Jr. and Robert Bose.

Survivors include husband of 47 years, J. L. Baker; daughter, Melissa
Novak and husband, Stan of North Andover, MA; son, James Baker of
Rogers; two grandchildren, Zack Novak of North Andover, Amanda Novak
of North Andover, MA; sisters, Dolores Bose Messick of Tulsa, OK,
Marjorie Bose of Weatherford, OK; brother, Jim Bose and wife, Brenda of
Stillwater, OK; sisters in-law, Ernestine Bose of Bessie, OK, Roberta Bose
of Ft. Worth, TX, Janice Guy and husband, Jim of Yukon, OK and many
nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in honor of Yvonne Baker to the Rogers Public
Library, 711 N. Dixieland Road, Rogers, AR 72758 or to Circle of Life
Legacy Village, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712.
Private services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Rose
cemetery in Hobart, Ok.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of
Rogers.
