Emma "Jean" Williams Dotson
Mrs. Emma "Jean" Williams Dotson, age 58, formerly of Forrest City, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a housewife and mother.
Mrs. Dotson is survived by her husband of 38 years, Theodis Dotson of Cleveland, Ohio; four sons, Dexter Dotson, Warren Dotson and Christopher Dotson all of Cleveland, Ohio, Demetrius Dotson of Yakota Air Force Base in Japan; one daughter, Kelly Marie Dotson of Cleveland; four brothers, Arron Williams and Ocie Williams, both of Madison, Willie B. WIlliams and Eddie Williams of Forrest City; four sisters, Pinkie Mae Brandon of Chicago, Ill., Flossie Champ and Jane Ella Rodgers of Forrest City and Florene Johnson of Little Rock, and five grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Dotson were held on Nov. 9, 2002. Burial followed in Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.

Pearlie Conner
Mrs. Pearlie Conner, age 61, of Forrest City, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002.
Mrs. Conner was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Forrest City and she is survived by one son, Darrell Edwards of Forrest City; one daughter, Lisa Conner of Forrest City; and four brothers, Walter Edwards of Scokie, Ill., George Edwards of Evangston, Ill., Eugene Edwards of Forrest City, and Timmy Sisks of Little Rock.
Funeral services for Mrs. Conner will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Prosperity M. B. Church with Rev. Uzziah Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery with Marianna Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Allie V. Nesbitt
Mrs. Allie V. Nesbitt, age 87, formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002.
Mrs. Nesbitt, is survived by three daughters, Maxine Moore and Willie Mae Nesbitt, both of St. Louis, Mo. and Evelyn Nesbitt of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Romie Nesbitt and Leonard Nesbitt, both of Corpus Chrisit, Texas and Roy Nesbitt of Kansas City, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Mrs. Nesbitt was preceded in death by three children, Sarah, Willie and Velma.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Nesbitt will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at 12:30 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery with Elder John Henry Jennings officiating. Archway Memorial Chapel of Hazelwood, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

Derotha Mary Taylor
Mrs. Derotha Mary Taylor, age 80, of Palestine, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Taylor, born April 23, 1923, in Palestine, was the daughter of Oscar T. Willis and Estella Gilbert Willis. She is survived by three daughters, LaDora McDaniel and LaVerne McDaniel, both of Palestine and Loretta Ratchford of Forrest City; a son, Lincoln Taylor Jr. of Palestine; two sisters Sarah E.W. Taylor and Anna Minor, both of Forrest City; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Taylor will be hold on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services for will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Jericho Church of God in Christ with Elder Lincoln Taylor Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery.

Ulysses Cothran Sr.
Rev. Ulysses Cothran Sr., age 68, of Colt, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Cothran was born Mar. 30, 1934, in Forrest City, the son of Andrew Cothran and Mary Lou Cothran.
Mr. Cothran is survived by his wife, Willie Vann Cothran of Colt; two daughters, Deborah Parker of Columbia, Mo., Maria Sampson of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Ulysses Cothran Jr. and Kenneth Cothran, both of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Willie Dean Shelly and Dorothy Cothran, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Lardelah Anderson of Florida; two brothers Leonard Cothran of Colt, Vern Cothran of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Cothran will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah M. B. Church with Rev. E. Hamiliton officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanley Grove Cemetery.

Pier L. Lenear
Mr. Pier L. Lenear, age 20, of Chicago, Ill., and formerly of Widener, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Lenear, born Aug. 23, 1982, in Blue Island, Ill., was the son of Jeanette Lenear and Tony McNeal. Mr. Lenear is survived by his parents; a son, Jamariss of Arkansas; a daughter, Eloni of Robbins, Ill.; his grandmothers, Irene of Arkansas and Odessa of Tennessee; his grandfather, Joe Sr. of New York; five brothers, Tony, Anthony, Shawn, Tony Jr., and Trell; 12 sisters, Ashley, Antonette, Connesha, Cathesah, Jasmine, Shamika, Tanika, Sharita, Sydney, Rachia, Brittney and Brianna; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Lenear were held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at W.W. Holt Funeral Home in Harvey, Ill., with Elder Eugene Webber officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chicago, Ill.

George Black
Mr. George Black, age 81, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Methodist Hospital - Central in Memphis.
Mr. Black, born Oct. 26, 1921, in Blackfish, was a retired inspector with Forrest City Machine Works. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Black of Forrest City; two sons, George Black of Forrest City and Darryl Black of South Carolina; a daughter, Debra McNutt of Little Rock; a sister, Eldorada Black of Chicago, Ill.; three stepsons, Phillip Jones Jr., Larry Jones and Calvin Jones, all of Cleveland, Ohio; four stepdaughers, Eloise Lemon of Cleveland, Ohio, Elizabeth Blake of Little Rock, Annette Winfrey of Forrest City and Joyce Parchman of Arlington, Texas; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Black will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, from noon to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Black will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at St. John M.B. Church in Madison with Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Scott-Bond Cemetery.

Henry B. Rahmlow Jr.
Mr. Henry B. Rahmlow Jr., age 65, of Searcy, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Mr. Rahmlow, born July 14, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Henry B. Rahmlow Sr. and Julia Eileen Orawsky. Mr. Rahmlow was a retiree from Yale Hoist and lived in Forrest City until moving to Searcy in 1989. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a Catholic by faith. He was also a member of the American Legion.
In 1983, Mr. Rahmlow married Lila Wilson Roberson and she survives him along with three daughters, Susan Anderson of Locust Grove, Julia Baker of Indiana and Jamie Goodwin of Searcy; two sons, Herman Wilson of Tumbling Shoals and James Wilson of Searcy, and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Rahmlow will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Roland Hassell Troxell
Mr. Roland Hassell Troxell, age 81, of Forrest City, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Troxell was born on Feb. 6, 1921 in Searcy, the son of Henry Hassell Troxell and Viola Dollar Troxell. He lived in Forrest City for most of his life and was the owner and operator of Southern Furniture Company. Mr. Troxell was a Lions Club member and former vice-president and member of the Chamber of Commerce, Merchant's Committee chairman. He also served as vice-president of Nathan Bedford Forrest Academy and vice-president of the Arkansas Furniture Association. He was businessman of the year and was a veteran of World War II with the Army Air Corp. Mr. Troxell was also a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Troxell married Hazel Blankenship in 1946 and she preceded him in death in 1995. He is survived by three daughters, Desha Miller of Tullahoma, Tenn., Jo Patterson of Forrest City, RoAnn Powell of Caldwell; two sisters, Rene Warner of Yardley, Pa., and Beryl Wilson of California; two brothers, Don Troxell and Jerry Troxell both of California and six grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Troxell on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Denton McClellen officiating.

Mosella Walker
Mrs. Mosella Walker, age 76, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Walker, born Feb. 27, 1926, in Colt, was a homemaker. Mrs. Walker is survived by a sister, Ora Lee Cotton of Chicago, Ill.
Visitation services for Mrs. Walker will be held, Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Rising Sun M.B. Church with Rev. John Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove Cemetery in Caldwell.

Wendell Carroll
Mr. Wendell Carroll, age 62, of Marianna, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002.
Mr. Carroll was born Aug. 10, 1941, in Lee County, the son of Robert Edward Carroll and Virginia Freeland Carroll. He lived in Palestine for most of his life and was a contractor. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and helped establish the Palestine Fire Department and city council.
Mr. Carroll is survived by one daughter, Pam Parkman of Palestine; two brothers, Sam Carroll and Wayne Carroll, both of Palestine and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James V. Carroll in 1982 and Robert Carroll in 1981. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucy St. John in 1979.
Visitation services for Mr. Carroll will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002 at Stevens Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held graveside on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Bell Cemetery in Palestine with Rev. Steve Turner officiating.

Jerry Roger King
Jerry Roger King, age 60 passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2002 in Russellville, AR. Born in Holland, AR, he was the son of the late Eldon and Bonnie Woodworth King. Mr. King worked as a Systems Analyst for John Bean Company of Conway, AR for over 25 years. He also formerly worked for Eaton & Yale Co. of Forrest City. He was a member of Arkansas Bowler Hall of Fame and was a past President of Men's League in Conway, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Wood of Conway, AR; a son, Robert W. King of Dover, AR; one daughter, Sandra and husband Jon Milam of Mayflower, AR; one sister, Phyllis Hogan of Springfield, AR; and two granddaughters.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Arnold Teel officiating.
Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, AR (327-7727).
