Laura Thomas
Laura Ann Thomas, 19, daughter of Chris and Shelia Thomas of Havana, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004.
Arrangements will be announced by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.

Howard Penrod
Howard S. Penrod, 83, of Russellville, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home.
Born May 19, 1921, at Van Buren, Ind., he was a son of the late Paul and Gracie Miller Penrod. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, a member of the AMVETS in Murfreesboro, and a member of the Razorback Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of almost 62 years, Anna Penrod; two sons, Howard J. Penrod of Anderson, Ind., and John J. Penrod of Memphis; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be no local services. Burial will be at sea on a later date.
Arrangements are through Shinn Funeral Service.

Minnie Daniel
Minnie Daniel, 75, of Dover died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, in Dover.
The daughter of Charlie and Alice (Laymon) Harris, she was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Treat. She married Jessie L. Daniel on July 24, 1964, at Russellville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsville Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, an infant sister, and three brothers: Johnny, Dave and Eddie Harris.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Daniel; three sisters, Rose Casey and Helen Harris of Dover and Jewell Nichols of Fort Smith; and a brother, Bill Harris of Dover.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Scottsville Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Arnold Humphrey. Burial will be at Phoenix Cemetery at Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Pallbearers:
Active - Robert Casey, Rusty Hardy, Darrin Hardy, Coy Taylor, Calvin Freeman and Matt Apple.
Honorary - Doug Casey Jr., Jack Casey, Charles Casey, David Harris, Donald Harris, Joe Nichols, Lonnie Harris, James Harris and David Earl Harris.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Scottsville Assembly of God, 6319 SR 27 North, Hector 72843.

John Montgomery
DANVILLE - John Fred Montgomery, 80, of Plainview died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004.
He was retired from Continental Grain, an Army veteran of World War II, former Yell County Quorum Court member, Plainview municipal judge and Selective Service Board member, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Plainview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Imogene Montgomery; two sons and daughters-in-law, John F. Jr. and Paula Montgomery of El Paso, Texas, and Jeff and Danette Montgomery; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Thomas Cox of Plainview; two sisters, Kate Balloun of Dardanelle and Reba Mathis of California; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Plainview Methodist Church. Burial with military honors by Dardanelle VFW Post 3141 will be in Salem Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service.
Pallbearers include Lynn Balloun, Don Balloun, Brent Montgomery, the Rev. Norman Chenowith, Joe Dishongh and Randy Furr.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Leonard Conrad
DARDANELLE - Leonard L. Conrad, 63, of Saint Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Forest Park Hospital at Saint Louis.
Born Aug. 16, 1941, at Spiro, Okla., he was the son of the late Floyd Garrison, a supervisor for Ralston-Purina Mills for 38 years, served in the Army National Guard and attended O'Fallon (Mo.) Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Naomi Eloise Black Conrad; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny Conrad of O'Fallon, Mo., and Kenneth and Julie Conrad of Richmond, Ind.; mother, Ada Louise Terry; a brother, Aldon Garrison of Delaware; four grandchildren, Jake and Allision Conrad of Richmond, Ind., and Josh and Shannon Conrad of O'Fallon, Mo.; and many uncles, aunts and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cornwell Chapel with the Rev. David Jay officiating. Burial will be in Graves Cemetery at Delaware by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Christal Conaway
CLARKSVILLE - Christal Charis Conaway, 30, of Little Rock died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at her home.
She was a surgical technician and served four years in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include her significant other, Kevin Meyers of Little Rock; a son, Austin Zachary Conaway of Little Rock; her parents, Steve Conaway of Lamar and Janis F. Zachary of Lamar; a brother, David Zachary Conaway of Lamar; and a sister, Shawna Danita Conaway of Lamar.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Fancher officiating. Burial will be in Madden Cemetery at Lamar by Roller-Cox Funeral Service.
Pallbearers include David Conaway, Linnis Madden, Rob Pelts, Kevin Myers, Joe Bolduc and Fred Parker.
Memorials may be made to Youth With A Mission.

Stanley Haralson
ATKINS - Stanley L. Haralson, 81, of Atkins died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at his home.
Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Atkins, he was the son of the late Jack and Erma Cooksey Haralson, worked 39 years for Arkansas Power and Light Co., and was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, a 32nd degree Mason, a 55-year member of Atkins Masonic Lodge, a member of the Eastern Star and was constable of Atkins for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Janette Wright Haralson; a daughter, Emma Haralson; a brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Linda Haralson; and a sister, Deane Childers, all of Atkins.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop, the Rev. B.J. Duvall and Neil Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers:
Active - Phillip Haralson, Kevin Haralson, Jeff Haralson, Robert Haralson, Dennis Massingill and Kenny Childers.
Honorary - AP and L employees.

Marilynn Yacono
DARDANELLE - A memorial service for Marilynn N. Yacono, 70, of Dardanelle, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, will be conducted by her family at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Saint John's Catholic Church in Russellville.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Service.

Reba Smith
CLARKSVILLE - Reba Jewell Smith, 80, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Saint Anthony's Health Care Center at Morrilton.
She was a former nursing home administrator, daughter of the late Harrison Levi McDonald and Laura Jane McCleland, and a member of New Life Christian Center.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Jack E. Glaze of Clarksville; a sister, Wilma Rahmeyer of Whittier, Calif.; two granddaughters, Davina Brashears of Aiken, S.C., and Heather Thompson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and five great-grandchildren, David, Alicia and Mary Thompson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Elizabeth and Emily Brashears of Aiken, S.C.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at McDonald Family Cemetery at West Fork. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Service.
