Daniel Havner
DANVILLE -- Daniel Havner, 64, formerly of Ola, died Monday, March 13, 2006, in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Jan. 1, 1942, at Dutch Creek, worked many years for Hallmark Cards and was a professional photographer. He was former mayor of Ola and a member of First United Methodist Church at Lee's Summit, Mo.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn; and his parents, Lee and Jewel Havner.
Survivors include a son, David of Antarctica and his wife, Julie; a daughter, Jennifer of Danville; two grandchildren, Jack and Paige; a sister, Hazel Ferguson of Alma; and four brothers, Waco, Kenneth and Warren of Kansas City, and Floyd of Modesto, Calif.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Waltreak Cemetery with the Rev. Stacy Lisenbey officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Cornwell Funeral Home.

Miriam Taylor
Miriam Bonham Edmondson Taylor, 89, of Little Rock died Sunday, March 12, 2006.
She was born June 8, 1916, in New Edinburg to Frank and Goldie Ruth Bonham Edmondson. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Taylor.
Survivors include two sons, William P. Taylor Jr. of Little Rock and Winston Justus Taylor and wife, Kristen, of Russellville; a daughter, Kathy Wewers and husband, Ken, of Little Rock; a brother, the Rev. Justus Edmondson and wife, Sibyl, of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Megan Taylor of Russellville, and Brooke, Matthew and Meredith Wewers of Little Rock.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Russellville with the Rev. Mackey Yokem officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Arkansas.

Billy Sanders
DARDANELLE -- Billy G. Sanders, 65, of Dover died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1940, at Dover to Clinton A. and Lillie May Cloud Sanders. He was a retired millwright and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Boyce Ray Sanders, Harley Joe Sanders and Danny Lynn Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Sanders; two sons, Timothy Sanders and Wesley Sanders of Dover; two daughters, Tierra Lynda Stone of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sherri Sanders of Virginia; two grandchildren, Andrea Mae Stone of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jamie Deanne Stone of Dover; and his mother-in-law, Lorene McNutt of Dover.
Cremation arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.

Raymond Palmer
Raymond Palmer 81, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Leslie, Ark., to Anthony and Okla Palmer. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving four years as a pilot. After graduating from Arkansas Tech University, he attended Golden Gate Seminary where he obtained a Master of Divinity degree. He pastored several churches in Arkansas before retiring from Ozone Baptist Church. He attended Bakers Creek Baptist Church where he had previously pastored and was still a member at the time of his death.
He loved his family and they were his greatest pleasure. They include his wife of 56 years, Jean; two sons, Ray and wife Vickie, John and wife Abbie; a daughter, Jan and husband Mark; grandchildren, Blake, Mollie, Sarah, Mindy and Brandon and wife Robyn; and great grandchildren, Mallory and Macy.
Memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bakers Creek Baptist Church in Russellville.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Dardanelle Nursing Center for their loving, devoted care. Words cannot express their heartfelt gratitude.
Arrangements are by Humphrey Funeral Service.

Ada Turner
DANVILLE - Ada Essie Turner, 88, of Havana died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at Chambers Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1917, in Havana, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Reola Quesenbury Foster, a former 4-H leader, and a member of Havana Extension Homemakers Club and Havana Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Vestal, Hoyt and Oresta Foster; and two sisters, Zelta Sturdy and Fay Tygart.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Lawrence Turner; a son, Larry Turner of Lonoke; a brother, M.B. Foster of Havana; a sister, Helen White of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Erica Hall of Colorado, Laura Chambers of Tennessee, Lance Turner of Conway, and Loretta Turner and Lauren Turner of Lonoke; and two great-grandchildren, Easton and Vicente Hall of Colorado.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Havana Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Phillip Sturdy and the Rev. Floyd Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in Havana Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers:
Active - Rocky Foster, Johnny Foster, Harry Foster, John Sturdy, Bill Stanley and Charles Yandall.
Honorary - Arlis Hood, Charles Wilkins, Harry Willard, James Adair, Rick Bryant, Bob Smalley, Orval Red Parker and Glen Mott.
Visitation will be 6-7 tonight.

Althay Gifford
CLARKSVILLE - Althay Lavine Gifford, 94, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at her home.
She was a member of Hunt Town Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vanvert Jordan and Cora Heath Wilson; her husband, Andrew Walker Gifford; four brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, Andrew Jordan Gifford of Lindale, Texas, Elmer Leroy Gifford of Stuttgart and Algie V. Gifford of Johnson County; daughters, Joyce Evelyn Ponder of Tichnor, Willie Jean Ponder of Madera, Calif., Peggy Dellen Gallardo of Grand Junction, Colo., and Hellen Marie Vaughan of Clarksville; sisters, Mammie Wright of Stuttgart and Hester Stith of Casscoe; 67 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Roller-Cox Chapel with Leo Villines officiating. Burial will be later in Chowchilla District Cemetery in Chowchilla, Calif.

Danny Hall
Danny Floyd Hall died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005.
He was born Sept. 9, 1949, in DeWitt to Melvin Floyd and Myrtle Mae Campbell Hall. He was a farmer and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Leonard and Doris Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Brasko Hall; children, Jennifer Thaxton of Dardanelle, Allison Hall of Columbia, Mo., and Mary Rose Hall and Daniel Hall of DeWitt; a brother, Marion Hall of London; and two grandchildren, Devin and Austin Thaxton of Dardanelle.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Essex Funeral Home in DeWitt. Burial will be in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 808 S. Wood, Stuttgart, Ark. 72160.

Kevin Curry
DARDANELLE - Kevin Allen Curry, 43, of Dardanelle, formerly of Pleasant Hill, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1961, at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Joe Kowalski of Dardanelle; father and stepmother, Bill and Kristen Curry of Chico, Calif.; three brothers, Bill Curry II of San Jose, Calif., Randy Curry of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Jim Walker of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Kim Edney of Orrick, Mo.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cornwell Chapel with the Rev. Tony Wolfer officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery at London by Cornwell Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Richard Johnson
DANVILLE - Richard Duane Johnson, 65, of Belleville died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at his home.
Born Oct. 14, 1939, in Petersburg, N.D., he was the son of the late Harry and Mabel Tansather Johnson. He was a driller for Grubbs, Hoskins, Barton and Wyatt in Little Rock, a Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Mary Wilburn Johnson; children, Mitchell, Brian, Bruce, Julie, Sandi, Debbie, Pam and Kelly; brothers, Roger, Art, Jerry and Gary; sisters, Janet, Donna, Avis, Diane and Judi; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cornwell Chapel. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include David McFarland, Billy Hayes, Don Jones, Josh Lee, Michael Gililland and Gary Mullins.
