Steven Gomez
CLARKSVILLE - Steven Brad Gomez, 28, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at his home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1979, and was employed in heating and air construction. He was elected student body president of the Arkansas Tech University Ozark campus, graduating top in his class for heating and air. He was a graduate of Bakersfield (Calif.) High School and served four years in the Army National Guard.
He will forever be loved and missed.
Survivors include a son, Steven Vance Gomez of Clarksville; a stepson, Zachary Leos; parents, Terri Burnett of Clarksville and Steven Gomez of Ohio; a brother, Justin Claye Beck and wife, Shauna, of Lamar; a sister, Alex Gomez of Bakersfield, Calif.; his girlfriend, Sarah Sanders of Lamar; nieces, Cayla and Sydney Beck, Marina, Maranda and Kaylee; grandparents, Tom and Francine Burnett of Coal Hill; aunt, Starlett Burnett of Coal Hill; and cousins and many friends.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Roller-Cox Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Coal Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Jeremy Adams, Boone Conquest, Aaron Sanders, Larry Riley, Andy Butler and Christopher Wood.
Honorary pallbearers are Justin Claye Beck, Tonya Henson and Tyrone Willis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jerry Cadwell
Gerald 'Jerry' Cadwell, 80, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
The son of Herbert Onions and Rheta Cadwell, he was born June 6, 1927, in Sandpoint, Idaho. He was a U.S. Army and Navy Veteran of World War II and retired after 25 years as a Senior Chief with the Navy Sea Bee Reserve. He was an Engineer Superintendent with Los Angeles (Calif.) County. He was also a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, the American Legion, Post 0584, at Big Bear Lake, Calif., for 63 years and a member of the Elks Club in Monterey Park, Calif., as well as numerous other organizations. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ruth Cadwell; his parents; and one brother.
He is survived by one son, Thomas Harms of Augsburg; three daughters, Angela Panceroff and husband, James, of Russellville, Sandra Hawkins and husband, Bill, of El Monte, Calif., and Diane Kelley and husband, Dennis, of Ontario, Calif.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darrell Kobs officiating. Burial will be at North New Hope Cemetery at Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Autism Society, Hear, Inc.; 2001 Pershing Circle, Suite 300; North Little Rock, AR 72114 or American Cancer Society, c/o Judy Murphy, Pope County Chair; 126 Lakeview Circle; Russellville, AR 72802.

Jackie Garrison
Jackie Wayne Garrison 64, of London, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
A full obit will appear in a later edition of the paper.
Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Jewell Stone
CLARKSVILLE - Jewell J. Faught Martin Stone, 93, of Ozark died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Countryside Manor at Lamar.
She was born Sept. 24, 1914, and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Belle Brown Faught; husbands, Vester Martin and Herbert Stone; sons, William, David, Floyd, Lewis and Billy Martin; daughter, Betty Owen Powell; daughter-in-law, Janell Martin; two sisters; two brothers; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include sons, Boyd Martin and wife, Pat, of Manteca, Calif., Paul Martin and wife, Sandy, of Coal Hill, Jerry Martin and wife, Lucille, of Ozark, and Michael Martin of Roswell, N.M.; a daughter, Shirley Martin of Fayetteville; a sister, Opal Moore of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery at Deer. Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Boyd Martin Jr., Robert Owen, Clifford Owen, Billy Martin Jr., Michael Martin, Jairus Martin, Jared Martin and David Faught.

Christene Woods
DARDANELLE - Christene Woods, 85, of Dardanelle died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at River Valley Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 5, 1923, at Piney to James Harrison and Amanda Viola Yandals Townsell. She was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Dardanelle Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, H.K. 'Tooter' Woods; two sisters, Irene Wallace and Gloria Burkes; and a grandson, Michael David Crowe.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Lanita and Tom Bruce of Dardanelle, and Hilda Wesley of Dardanelle; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Don and Lea Ann Woods of Dardanelle; a sister-in-law, Delena Pennington of Dardanelle; a brother, James Earl 'Bud' Townsell of Jones Mill; grandchildren and spouses, Captain Jenny and David Johnson, Matthew and Kerry Crowe, Justin Crowe, Clay Mitchell, Hilery Wesley, Zachary and Emily Wesley, Nikki and John Sandlin, and Natalie and Chris Tarte; great-grandchildren, Luke and Jessi Johnson, Christopher and Emma Crowe, Hattie Tarte, and two more to arrive soon; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Dardanelle Church of Christ with Ralph Weinhold officiating. Burial will be in Chickalah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Matthew Crowe, Justin Crowe, Clay Mitchell, Zac Wesley, John Sandlin and Chris Tarte.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Ladies Bible Class, the Rev. Wiley Jones, Dr. Allan Kirkland, and past and present elders and deacons of Dardanelle Church of Christ.

Sadie Fowler
DANVILLE - Sadie Vida Lee Fowler of Danville, widow of Roy Fowler, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Danville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Walker officiating. Burial will be in Chalybeate Spring Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight.

Annie Robinson
ATKINS - Annie M. Creel Robinson, 38, of Dover died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at her home after a one and a half year battle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 28, 1970, in Killeen, Texas, daughter of Johnnie D. and Angie Villarreal Creel. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie D. Creel. She was a teacher at Mi-Child Enrichment Center, a member of Dover First Baptist Church and was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by two sons, Jordan Matthew Segovia and Jeremy Donald Robinson; one daughter, Jessyca Marie Reaves, all of Dover; her mother and stepfather, Angie and Richard Young of Dover; four brothers, Johnnie Dale Creel, Jr. of Florida, James E. Creel of California, Jamie L. Creel of Missouri and Michael D. Creel of Dover; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from California and Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Dover First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Paxton officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers are Danny Minks, Chuck Smith, Danny Utley, Toby Dover, Johnnie Dale Ragsdale and Johnnie Ragsdale.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Young Jr. and Ray Dotson.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight.

Cotton Frost
DARDANELLE - Lemoin 'Cotton' Frost, 70, of Dardanelle died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Chambers Memorial Hospital at Danville.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, at Mount George to Jess and Annie Frost. He was a member of Ola Free Will Baptist Church and was a Mason. He was a very special person, friend, a wonderful dad and poppy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Annie Frost; a brother, Walter Frost; and a grandchild, baby Martin.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Bailey of MacClenny, Fla., Tina and Rusty Martin Sr. of Lake City, Fla., and Debra and Adrian Velasquez of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepson and spouse, Donald and Michelle Royal of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Virginia Frost of Centerville; four sisters, Luna Burnett of Dardanelle and Ruby Benefield of Ola; 14 grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral was Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Mount George Church of Christ with the Rev. Bobby Wells officiating. Burial was in Mount George Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
