George W. Burke, of Sun City, died Oct. 13, 2003. He served in the Army and is survived by his wife, Marjorie. Sunland Mortuary.

Edwin D. Ditto, 80, of Sun City, passed away at home Oct. 1, 2003. He was born to Erwin and Helen Ditto in San Diego, Calif. He was a World War II veteran and after graduating from the GM Institute, now called Kettering Institute, he worked for General Motors as an executive for 45 years. In 1991 he was a recipient of the prestigious Kettering Award for inventions that were used by the GM Corporation. Edwin had various hobbies. He was a pilot and owned his own plane, enjoyed woodworking and sport shooting. He belonged to the National Rifle Association, Arizona Unit Wally Byam Caravan Club and Sun City Sportman and Conservation Club. He is predeceased by his brother, Fred, and survived by his wife, Quillian; sons, Philip and Thomas; sister, Jane Michaelson; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made in Ediwn's name to All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church.

Mary Lee Hammond, 94, of Sun City, died Sept. 30, 2003. She moved to Arizona from Illinois. Advantage Golden Door Chapel.

Edna Mae Hedrick, 87, of Sun City, an administrator for Fireman's Fund Insurance, died Oct. 11, 2003. Menke Funeral Home.

Margaret Kocsis, a retired technician at Boswell Hospital, died Oct. 11, 2003. She moved to Arizona from MIchigan. Menke Funeral Home.

Mary J. Nascak, 83, of Sun City, died Oct. 8, 2003 in Sun City West. Sunland Mortuary.

Marie O. Warbington, 89, of Sun City, died Oct. 12, 2003. She was a restaurant cook. Menke Funeral Home.

Neil Parker Woodruff, 84, of Sun City West, died Oct. 10, 2003. He was born in Clyde, Kan., to Charles and Myra Woodruff. He served as a TSGT in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He worked for 26 years for the USDA as an agricultural engineering, retiring as the leader of Wind Erosion Research at the Agronomy Department at Kansas State University. He moved to Sun City in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons, Timothy; Thomas; brother, William; seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Leslie. Memorial contributions may be donated to Sun Health Auxiliary, P.O. Box 2015, Sun City, 85372, or KSU Foundation, in memory of Neil Woodruff, 2323 Anderson Ave., Ste. 500, Manhattan, Kan., 66502.

Catherine "Cathy" Collier, 90, of Surprise passed away March 19, 2004. She was born July 4, 1913, in Providence, R.I. She moved to Arizona in 1998 from Leesburg, Fla. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a Charter Member of Lake County Quilters Guild, Grand Stitchers of Sun City Grand. Preceded in death by husband, Rollin, and son, Clifford. She is survived by her daughters, Marguerite Callicott of Asheboro, N.C., and Sandra Cook of Surprise; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by del Sol Funeral Chapel.

Henrietta Faye Watson, 68, of Surprise died March 20, 2004. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa, Oct. 11, 1935. She and her husband moved from Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1999 to Arizona. She is survived by husband, Stuart; daughter, Becky Schneider of Walnut Creek, Calif.; son, Jeff Watson of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Helen Mackiewicz, 88, of Mesa, died Wednesday, April 21 in Mesa.
Mrs. Mackewicz, a homemaker, was born in Chicoaee, Mass.
Mrs. Mackewicz is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Waer; and one grandchild and four great grandchildren.

John Daniel Spaugh, 71, of Mesa, died Saturday, April 24 in Mesa.
Mr. Spaugh, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was born in Winston Salem, N.C.
Mr. Spaugh is survived by his wife, Marie Betty; daughter, Laura Marie; sons, Mark and Matt; sister Mary Louise Murphy; and 14 grandchildren.

Gloria Clauson, 73, of Mesa, died Tuesday, April 20 in Mesa.
Mrs. Clauson, a homemaker, was born in Orange City, Iowa.
Mrs. Clauson is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Carol Ell, Linda and Janet Galle; son, David; and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Kevin P. Geraghty, 69, of Mesa, died Friday, April 23 in Mesa.
Mr. Geraghty, a retired Chicago policeman and U.S. Army veteran, was born in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Geraghty is survived by his wife, Carol and seven children.

Penny E. Johnston, 98, of Mesa, died Saturday, April 24 in Mesa.
Mrs. Johnston, a homemaker, was born in Washington.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her daughters, Arlene Sundling and Kay Boren; sister, Edith I. Dungan; and niece, Ardelle Temanson.

Ms. Johnson, a cook, was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mary Elizabeth Conant, 88, of Mesa, died Tuesday, April 20 in Mesa.
Mrs. Conant, a retired nurse's aide and U.S. Navy veteran, was born in Detroit, Mich.
Mrs. Conant is survived by her sons, Jim and Steve; and six grand children and five great grandchildren.
