Donovan Valenzuela, 42, of Queen Valley, died Feb. 7, 2003, in Queen Valley.
Mr. Valenzuela, a laborer at a water plant, was born in Santa Monica, Calif.
He is survived by his sisters Dorothy A. Lagasse and Lisa A. Valenzuela and brothers John, Michael, Frencho, Patrick and Bernard.
Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.

Mary Ellen Bowers, 59, of Globe, died Feb. 10, 2003, in Globe.
Ms. Bowers, a homemaker, was born in Miami, Ariz.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Towers and Wendy Bowers; mother Evelyn Lyman; brothers Herbert and Frank Lyman; sisters Gloria Jean Porter, Laverdamae Burdett and Beulah Diane Lyman and four grandchildren.
Lamont Mortuary of Globe handled arrangements.

Harriet Ann Schoeph, 71, of Apache Junction, died Feb. 15, 2003, in Mesa.
Mrs. Schoeph, a teacher and Secretary/receptionist at several doctors' offices and a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, was born in Galesburg, Ill.
She is survived by her husband John; daughter Linda Piano; son Steven; daughter-in-law Nancy; son-in-law Don Piano; brother J. Allan Suydam; sister-in-law Rita Suydam; granddaughter Stephanie Schoeph and grandsons Russell and Gregory Piano.
Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.

Johnny Louis Johnston, 39, of Apache Junction, died Feb. 17, 2003, in Apache Junction.
Mr. Johnston was born in Cottonwood, Ariz.
He is survived by his daughter Brandi; parents Chuck and Jeanne Johnston and Mary Lou Casebeer; sisters Debra Despins and Michelle Corrales; brother Donald Carmichael; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; cousins and friends.
Mountain View Memorial Gardens and Funeral Care handled arrangements.

George Phillip Stark, 78, of Apache Junction, died Feb. 7, 2003, in Mesa.
Mr. Stark, a World War II Army veteran and master machinist, was born in Deer River, Minn.
He is survived by his son George; daughter-in-law Helen; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care handled arrangements.

Wixie Cross, 80, of Apache Junction, died Feb. 7, 2003, in Apache Junction.
Mr. Cross, a mechanic, was born in Garland, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters Beverly Peters, Carolyn Halbor and Anita Hart; sons Wixie, Jr., Keith and Garner; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

William E. "Bill" Brooks, 76, of Queen Creek, died Jan. 30, 2003, in Queen Creek.
Mr. Brooks, a retired foundry and World War II Army veteran, was born in Clarion, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife Verla; daughters Katherine and Penny; son Tim; sisters Betty, Maxine and JoAnn; brothers Alan, Jack and Roger; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
