Hello
I have been searching for information about my great uncle, Wtyze (Arthur) vanderWal, born 30-09-1859 in Leeuwarden, Friesland, The Netherlands. He immigrated 16-08-1893 from the Port in Rotterdam to New York on the ship The Dubbledam, along with his wife Baukje van der Velde, born 1860 in The Netherlands and their 3 children, Trijntje, born 14-06-1882, Pieter, born 23-10-1883 and Jacobus, born 26-10-1885. Their destination was noted on the ship's manifest as "Kensington, Illinois"
I have not been able to locate them on any census or any other "unpaid" source. Maybe you are a descendent of this branch of the vanderWals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Kathy
