Lillian Franklin, 88

ESCONDIDO - Lillian Eva Franklin, 88, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in Escondido.

Born Feb. 7, 1912, in Herbert, Saskatchewan, Canada, she lived in Escondido for 25 years. She attended high school in Wolf Point, Mont., and graduated from college in Billings, Mont. She was an elementary school teacher in Wolf Point and Palo Alto before retiring. She was a member of Light and Life Free Methodist Church in Escondido.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Franklin, in May 1998. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith L. and Kathy Franklin of Escondido; brothers Robert Penner of Montana and Elmer Penner of San Diego; sisters Katherine Penner Unrau of Texas and Laura Penner Hagen of North Dakota; and one grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at McLeod Mortuary, Escondido Chapel, with the Rev. Wesley Keller and Paul Kugler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Edith Ingram, 93

VISTA - Edith Teresa Ingram, 93, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation in Oceanside.

Born April 1, 1906, in El Paso, Texas, she lived in Vista for 39 years. She was the owner of a stationery store and a past member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband, Emory Arford of Vista.

No formal service is planned. A private cremation is planned, with inurnment taking place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Mildred Rumin, 91

ESCONDIDO - Mildred Hailey Rumin, 91, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.

Born July 27, 1908, in Randolph, Neb., she lived in Escondido for 22 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star since she was 18 years old. She served as Past Worthy Matron in Lakewood, Colo., Past Mother Advisor in Columbine, Colo., and was a member of Rainbow Girls in Lakewood.

Mrs. Rumin is survived by her husband of 64 years, Carl Werner Rumin of Escondido; sons James M. Rumin of Arizona and David Rumin of Colorado; daughter Linda Diane Chapman of Colorado; sister Madeleine Green of Colorado; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at McLeod Mortuary, Escondido Chapel, with the Revs. Wesley Keller and Paul Kugler officiating. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Angel Gonzalez, 47

OCEANSIDE - Angel Munoz Gonzalez, 47, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Tri-City Medical Center.

Born Oct. 1, 1952, in Mayarit, Mexico, he lived in Oceanside for 33 years. He was a member of the North American Laborer's International Local 89.

Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his father, Feliz Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Gonzalez of Oceanside; mother Luz Gonzalez of Los Angeles; son Miguel Gonzalez of Escondido; daughters Anna Gutierrez and Sarah Gonzalez, both of Oceanside; brothers Pancho Gonzalez, Baublo Gonzalez, Anacleto Gonzalez and Raul Gonzalez; sisters Belen Servantes, Raquel Espiricveta, Lucilla Martinez and Benita Gollardo; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 29, at Vista Apostolic Church, with John Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, with John Sanchez officiating.

James Johnson, 86

ENCINITAS - James Palmer Johnson, 86, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at a hospital in Encinitas

Born Oct. 31, 1913, in Mayville, N.D., he lived in the Carlsbad-Encinitas area for 48 years. He was the superintendent of Encinitas Union School District before retiring in 1972. He was the oldest member of the Encinitas Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sons of Norway and the Association of California School Administrators.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agatha Johnson of Carlsbad; sons and daughters-in-law James and Judy Johnson Jr. of Chico and Jerry and Dawn Johnson of Forestville; daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Fred Williamson of Oceanside, Jo and Richard Bertelsen of Veron, Wash., and Janine Johnson of Encinitas; brother Birger Johnson of Fresno; sister Irene Denison of Yuma, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A private service was held.

The family suggests memorial donations to Brother Bennos Foundation, PO Box 308, Oceanside, CA 92049.

Perry Robertson, 65

DESERT HOT SPRINGS - Perry Clifton Robertson, 65, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his home.

Born Feb. 22, 1935, in Escondido, he lived in Desert Hot Springs. He was a self-employed general contractor for 45 years.

Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife, Barbara Neathery Robertson of Desert Hot Springs; mother Paralee Goss of Desert Hot Springs; son Chuck Robertson of Desert Hot Springs; daughter Melissa Holcomb of Mountain Center; brother James Robertson of Trinity Center; sisters Joyce Sackett of Mission Viejo and Nancy Winterton of Desert Hot Springs; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private service and burial are planned.

Sakineh Ayoubzadeh, 80

OCEANSIDE - Sakineh Ayoubzadeh, 80, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Tri-City Medical Center.

Born Jan. 20, 1920, in Khoy, Iran, he lived in Oceanside. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ayoubzadeh is survived by her sons, Abbus Torabi of Boston, Ali Torabi of Laguna Niguel, Hans Torabi of Escondido and Mohammad Torabi of Iran; daughter Payvin Jaberi of Oceanside; two sisters in Iran; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, March 28, at the Imperial Room of the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla. Burial will take place in Tehran, Iran.

Maude Wilson, 65

FALLBROOK - Maude Esther Wilson, 65, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in Escondido.

Born Dec. 11, 1934, in Cambridge, Md., she lived in Fallbrook for four years. She was a homemaker for 45 years.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her brother, James Alton Wilson III. She is survived by her sons, Elmer L. Prigga Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., and James F. Prigga of Delair, N.J.; daughter Debra Batty of W. Valley City, Utah; sisters Sandra Rybezynski of Buffalo, N.Y., Jean Romanski of Brockton, Mass., Evelyn Brunswick of Westland, Mich., Joan Shenk of Sun City, Ariz., and Marianne Nichols of Vienna, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Ward, in Fallbrook.

Robert Jungman, 77

EL CAJON - Dr. Robert D. Jungman, 77, died Friday, March 17, 2000.

Born Feb. 12, 1923, in Van Meter, Iowa, he lived in El Cajon for 47 years. He graduated a dentist in 1947 from the University of Iowa, practicing in West Des Moines, Iowa and El Cajon for a total of more than 53 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of the American, Californian and San Diego County Dental associations.

Dr. Jungman was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen McIntire Jungman. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bob Jr. and Juanita Jungman of Fresno, Dr. Greg and Kathie Jungman of Silverthorne, Colo., Dr. Randy Jungman and Dr. Julie Kangas of Escondido, Chris and Alison Jungman of El Cajon; daughter Dr. Mary Jungman of Santee; adopted son and daughter-in-law Fred and Justine Progner; brothers and sisters-in-law Marvin and Mildred Jungman, Lloyd and Doris Jungmann, Paul and Marty Jungmann, Maxine Jungman, Norma Jungman and Mary Jane Jungman; sisters and brothers-in-law Kay Jungman, Everett Hougham, Jim Myers, Esther and LeVern Halverson, Pat and David Guessford and Becky and Charles Stover; and grandchildren Susan and Kathy of Fresno, Christopher, Michael and Timothy of Silverthorne, Robert, Brian, Nicolaus and David of Escondido, Carolyn, Mitchell, Samuel and Alexander of El Cajon; and adopted granddaughter Katelin.

The family suggests memorial donations to your children's or grandchildren's education or to the Robert D. Jungman Memorial Scholarship Fund at Van Meter High School, Van Meter, IA 50261.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church in El Cajon. Interment icon will follow at El Cajon Cemetery.

Harold Costello, 85

SUN CITY - Harold Edward Costello, 85, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Manor Care Health Services in Hemet.

Born Feb. 1, 1915, in Monongah, W.Va., he lived in Sun City for 21 years. He was a maintenance man for the Veteran's Hospital for five years and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Costello is survived by his wife, Evelyn Costello of Sun City; sons Robert Costello of Hemet and Roger Costello of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters Joan Albrecht of San Diego and Donna Stovall of Orange; brother James Costello of Fairmont, W.Va.; sisters Margaret Biafore and Eloise Costello, both of Fairmont; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today, March 28, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory. A funeral service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory. Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.

Judy Koller, 49

MURRIETA - Judy Ann Koller, 49, died Saturday, March 25, 2000.

Born Feb. 15, 1951, in San Pedro, she lived in Murrieta for one year. She was a database administrator for Nextel Communications for four years. She owned Jak's Snak's, a dog biscuit company.

Mrs. Koller is survived by her husband, Dennis Koller of Murrieta; mother and father Alice and James Holt of San Marcos; son Jacob Koller of Murrieta; and sister Alice Olsen of Clovis.

Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory, Sun City, is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth Kurianski

Elizabeth Kurianski, 93 died Thursday, March 23 of heart failure at her home.

Born March 13, 1907, she lived in Romoland for 33 years. She was a homemaker her entire life.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Brazil and Europe. She was involved in the local Baha'i community and a member of the First Local Spiritual Assembly of Perris Valley. Although her true love was for her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Kurianski is survived by her two sons, Carlos Kurianski of Romoland and Stanley Kurianski of New York; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. Service will follow from 1-1:45 p.m.

Burial will follow at 2:30 at Perris Valley Cemetery.

William Adams, 90

NORTH COUNTY - William Adams, 90, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, in Vista.

Born Dec. 11, 1909, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he lived in North County for 25 years. He worked in hardware sales and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Vista Elks and Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Mae Adams, in 1985.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Folded Flags Section, with the Rev. David Plank officiating.

Laura Gregory, 88
ENCINITAS - Laura A. Gregory, 88, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, of cardiorespitory arrest.
Born May 12, 1912, in Merrill, Wis., she lived in Encinitas for 35 years.
Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel R. Gregory on Nov. 9, 1976. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Gwen and Ray Blackburn of Encinitas and Dona and Ralph Luedtke of Encinitas brother and sister-in-law Bert and Ruth Strassman of Merrill, Wis.; sisters Helen Nash of Tomahawk, Wis., and Bertha Roemke of Wausau, Wis.; grandchildren Julie Lawrence, Jamie Zuniga, Greg Ascherenner, Jane Montanez, Laurie Hogan and Jason Ascherenner; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Encinitas Elks Lodge with the Rev. Lorne Fleming. A private cremation is planned with a scattering at sea.

W.F. Walch, 83
SAN MARCOS - W.F. "Bill" Walch, 83, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
Born Oct. 11, 1917, in Kansas City, Mo., he lived in San Marcos for 18 years. He had been a salesman for Steiner Corp. for 11 years.
Mrs. Walch is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary L. Walch of San Marcos; sons W. Lucky Walch of Dana Point and Michael R. Walch of Newberg, Ore.; brother Kenneth A. Walch of Olympia, Wash.; sister Rosellen Richter of Aruada, Colo.; and grandchildren Christopher L. Walch, Christopher M. Walch, Anna Marie Walch, Kari A. Walch, Patricia M. Walch and Piper Jo Walch.
Viewing is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. today, March 12, at Allen Bros. Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Allen Bros. Mortuary San Marcos Chapel with the Rev. Richard T. Coughlin officiating. Burial will follow at San Marcos Cemetery.

Born Feb. 3, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa, he lived in Valley Center for five years. He worked for 25 years as a roofer and presently for Collier-Norwood Roofing, Inc.
Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by her father, Paul Tyler. He is survived by her mother Lois Creed of Escondido; daughters Sara Ann Tyler and Cindy Marie Tyler, both of Valley Center; brothers and sisters-in-law Dan Paul and Kathy Tyler of Valley Center and Joe and Debbie Creed of Escondido; sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Greg Mahan of Brentwood; nieces Katy and Shannon Tyler and nephews Joseph and Timothy Creed.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido. A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido with the Rev. Pat Kenney of Calvary Chapel of Escondido officiating.
