OCEANSIDE - Regina M. Saul, 78, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at her home in Oceanside.

Born July 31, 1921, in Selma, she lived in Oceanside and San Marcos for 30 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Saul was preceded in death by her son, Richard B. Saul, in 1973, and Dennis J. Saul, in 1993. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lee I. Saul of Oceanside; son Stephen Lee Saul of Bullhead City, Ariz.; daughter Judith Ann Saul of Bullhead City; brother Lee Mealy of Sequim, Wash.; and grandchildren Richard Kevin Saul of Las Vegas and Nicole Saul of San Clemente.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, at Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista Chapel. A private interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.

Lillian Lake, 94

FALLBROOK - Lillian Mae Lake, 94, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, in Fallbrook.

Born Aug. 27, 1905, in Vega, S.D., she lived in Fallbrook for 45 years. She was a homemaker and owned a lemon and avocado ranch in Fallbrook. She was a member of the golden Age Club of Oceanside for 20 years and the Young In Heart Club at Fallbrook Senior Center.

Mrs. Lake is survived by her sister, Ann McGann of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nieces Emma "Jane" Limpert of Fallbrook and Aldene Hedin and Ann McGann, both of Scottsdale; and many nephews and nieces in South Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Berry-Bell & Hall Chapel, with Dr. Dennis Y. Ginoza officiating. A private family interment will take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

The family suggests memorial donations to Joslyn Senior Center, 339 Heald Lane, Fallbrook, CA 92028.

Don Chaplin, 79

KANAB, Utah - Don E. Chaplin, 79, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, in an auto accident in St. George, Utah.

Born March 16, 1921, in Montana, he lived in Kanab for 25 years and had lived in Carlsbad for 15 years. He was the owner of DC Cycle and CD Kawasaki in Carlsbad and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a driver for Night Flight Express and had managed his own speedway racing team.

Mr. Chaplin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois Jean Chaplin of Kanab; daughters and sons-in-law Judi and Tony Streano of Carlsbad and Dawn and Charlie Williams of Vista; sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Randy Mason of Konab; grandchildren Monica, Melanie, Michelle, Charlie, Christopher, Chelsea, Robert and Ronald; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, with Jeff Mosdell officiating. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Lillian Posey, infant

VISTA - Lillian Nicole Posey, five months, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, in Vista.

Born Nov. 5, 1999, in Oceanside, she lived in Vista for five months.

Lillian is survived by her mother and father, April Joy and Mack Edward Posey of Vista; sisters Jalisa Jean Willis and Kniaja Nlonae Posey, both of Vista.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today, April 7, at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, with the Rev. Art Blodgett officiating. Burial will follow.

Gertrudez Amador, 95

VISTA - Gertrudez Amador, 95, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at a care center in Vista.

Born Sept. 19, 1904, in Mexico, she lived in the Oceanside area for 75 years.

Mrs. Amador is survived by her sister, Maria Salvatierra of Fallbrook; and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. today, April 7, at Encinitas Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at St. John's Catholic Church in Encinitas. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Clara Keough, 96

RAMONA - Clara Elizabeth Keough, 96, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at her home.

Born July 19, 1903, in Campbell, Mo., she lived in North Hollywood for many years. She was a homemaker, a milliner, a landscape painter and a member of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church of Ramona.

Mrs. Keough was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy Keough; brother John O'Toole; and sister Mary Margaret Somerhouse. She is survived by her nephew, Gary K. Rigdon of San Diego; niece Eileen Howell of Byron, Texas; and numerous great-nephews and nieces, including Stacey Riordan of Ramona.

A graveside service will take place at 11:30 a.m. today, April 7, at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. Burial with her husband will follow. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 4, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Ramona.

The family suggests memorial donations to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church building fund, 537 E. St., Ramona, CA 92065.

Thomas Peters, 58

VALLEY CENTER - Thomas Joe Peters, 58, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000.

Born Oct. 31, 1941, in Neosho Falls, Mo., he lived in North County for 35 years. He was a drywall contractor.

Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Thomas Peters. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Katie Peters; sons Scott Peters of Louisville, Ky., Corey Peters of Marsing, Idaho, and Stewart Peters of Kimberly, Idaho; daughters Debbie Hughes of Arlington, Texas and Krista Stepanek of Temecula; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Live Oak Park in Fallbrook.

Francis Bauer, 84

TUKWILA, Wash. - Francis A. Bauer, 84, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Tukwila Hospital..

Born July 27, 1915, in Waxahachie, Texas, she lived in Tukwila for six months. She worked for North American Aviation in Los Angeles, retiring in 1967. She taught organ and piano in Lake Elsinore for 20 years and was a member of the Elks Club, Shriners and Masonic Lodge in Lake Elsinore.

Mrs. Bauer is survived by her sons, Dan Baker of Lake Elsinore and Terry Baker of Thousand Oaks; daughter Susan White of Tukwila; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Stout Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at noon at Wildomar Cemetery.

Marie Augestad, 70

ESCONDIDO - Marie Augestad, 70, died Thursday, March 30, 2000, in Escondido.

Born July 22, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Escondido for three years. She was a homemaker and retired business owner.

Mrs. Augestad is survived by her husband of 48 years, Sverre "Augie" Augestad of Escondido; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Cindy Augestad of Marietta, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Andy LaPay of Eagle, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Sylvia and Charlie Barillari of Pompano Beach; and grandchildren David, Stephen, Nathan, Dana and James.

Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 5, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A cryptside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego.

Timothy McClintic, 79

SAN MARCOS - Timothy Dale McClintic, 79, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at his home in San Marcos.

Born Nov. 6, 1920, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he lived in San Marcos for 21 years. He was self-employed in sales of recreational vehicles and the leader of Tim Dale & The Drug Store Cowboys, a country and western band.

Mr. McClintic is survived by his wife, Sandy McClintic of San Marcos; son and daughter-in-law Timothy D. and Jane McClintic of W. Bloomfield, Mich.; daughters and sons-in-law Cathy Ketchum and C. Cindy and Ron Golden, all of Escondido, and Sharlene and Jim Ryckman of Lansing, Mich.; sister Leora Remdenok of Windsor, Ontario; grandchildren Matthew McClintic, Kristina, Adam, David and Mary Ryckman and Jeremy and Timothy Ketchum; and great-grandchildren Joshua Ketchum and Jacob Ryckman.

A private family service is planned. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Green Hill Cemetery in Kingsville, Ontario.

Thomas Hutchinson, 83

ESCONDIDO - Thomas J. Hutchinson, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at his home.

Born April 10, 1916, in White Hall, Ill., he lived in Escondido for 31 years. He was a crane operator for A.P. Green Co. for many years and worked in construction. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union 747 and the Baptist Church.

Mr. Hutchinson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorene Hutchinson of Escondido; daughter and son-in-law Bonnie Kay and Richard E. Townsend of Escondido; and grandchildren Kristin "Holly" Townsend and Patricia A. and husband Christopher Rozenko.

A private family graveside service will be held in Riverside.

Csaba Koltai, 56

TEMECULA - Csaba Zoltan Koltai, 56, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.

Born Jan. 8, 1944, in Budapest, Hungary, he lived in Temecula for 24 years. He owned Sophie's Restaurant in Temecula and Main Street Bakery and Cafe, voted one of 10 best restaurants in Riverside County. He was a Rotarian and a member of the Temecula Chess Club and the Temecula Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Koltai is survived by his wife, Ingaborg M. Koltai of Temecula; mother and father, Ester and Zoltan Koltay of Budapest; son Csaba Z. "Butch" Koltai Jr. of Jakarta, Indonesia; daughters Ingaborg M. Koltai of Valencia and Zsuzsi C. Bumgarner of Vista; brother Zoltan Koltai of Nagykoros, Hungary; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Las Brisas Bible Fellowship in Murrieta, with the Rev. Marty Edwards officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Stanley Hickman, 72

CARLSBAD - Stanley Hickman, 72, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at his home in Carlsbad.

Born Sept. 26, 1927, in Canada, he lived in Carlsbad for seven years. He was a 1st sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps for 30 years and was in charge of Junior Marines in San Jose. He was a member of Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in La Costa and past president of Toastmasters.

Mr. Hickman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Hickman of Carlsbad; mother Mary Long of Mount Aukum; sons David Hickman of Half Moon Bay, Stephen Hickman of San Jose and Michael Hickman of Colorado; daughter Suzanne Dean of Visalia; brothers Jay long of Mount Aukum and Philip Long of San Leandro; sisters Maggie Hardy of Carmel Valley, Sharon Long of Fiddletown and Marilyn Cate of Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Ed Dotson officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations to Tri-City Hospice, 4002 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92056.

Lavelle Stovall, 81

RAMONA - Lavelle Stovall, 81, died Thursday, April 6, 2000.

Born Dec. 27, 1918, in Texas, she lived in Ramona for five years. She served as a pastor's wife in various Southern Baptist Churches for 37 years and taught pre-school and kindergarten and senior adults. She was a member of the Neighborhood Baptist Church of Ramona.

Mrs. Stovall was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Truett Stovall, in 1978. She is survived by her son, Randy Stovall of Portland, Ore.; daughters Linda Greer of Ramona and Jacqueline Slay of Santa Paula; brothers Terry Holmes of Houston and Clinton Holmes of Plainview, Texas; sister Mickey Cohan of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at the Neighborhood Baptist Church in Ramona, with the Rev. Randy Ash officiating. A graveside service and burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Knox City Cemetery in Knox City, Texas, where she will be buried next to her husband.

Chester Kwoka, 81

RANCHO BERNARDO - Chester Stanley Kwoka, D.O., 81, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000.

Born Feb. 2, 1919, in Philadelphia, he lived in Rancho Bernardo for five years. He was an anesthesiologist at the Veterans Administration Hospital for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the San Rafael Catholic Church of Rancho Bernardo.

Mr. Kwoka is survived by his wife, Natalie Kwoka of Rancho Bernardo; son Christopher Kwoka of San Mateo; daughters Alexandra Kwoka of Del Mar, Bianca McRae of Temecula and Davida Kwoka Stevenson of San Mateo; brothers Josef Kwoka of Seal Beach and Frank Kwoka of Sacramento;; sister Angela Nadazy of Philadelphia; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at San Rafael Catholic Church in Rancho Bernardo.

Dennis Weber, 36

ESCONDIDO - Dennis Weber, 36, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in Longview, Wash.

Born March 31, 1963, in Escondido, he attended Orange Glen High School. He worked as a millwright in the Longview area and as a tow truck driver in Escondido for many years.

Mr. Weber is survived by his wife, Rhonda Weber of Washington; mother Sharon Weber of Escondido; father Dale Weber of Huntington Beach; sons Justin Weber and Jacob Weber; daughters Nicole Weber and Chantel Weber, all of Escondido; brothers Dale Weber Jr. and David Weber; and sister Debbie Lloyd.

A private cremation is planned in Longview.
