MULLEN, Dennis (Deni) R. (retired employee of Town of Port Hope) – suddenly at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, October 12, 2006, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Bertha Mullen. Loved father of Dennis and Suzanne Mullen of Newcastle, Bonnie and Wayne Schram of Tillsonburg, and the late Melody Klooesterman. Papa to Holly, Hailey, Kerry, and Gary. Survived by one brother, Arnold, and four sisters, Flora, Pauline, Lois, and Doris, and by many nephews and nieces. Missed by four-legged companions Saydee and Elsa. Donations in memory of Dennis to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by his family.

MacMASTER, Alexander (Alec) Hugh (retired 40-year employee of Coca Cola; member of Tamarac Golf & Country Club). – peacefully with his family by his side at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Palliative Care, on Monday, October 9, 2006, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, in his 69th year. Dear husband and best friend of Margaret (Jobin) for 42 years. Loving father of David and his wife Jessica of Chesley, Ontario, Christopher of Peterborough, Donna and her husband Joe D’Ovidio of Ajax, and Lorraine MacMaster-Price of Ajax. Grandpa to Graham, Grace, Ainslie, and Aaron MacMaster; Alicia and Evan D’Ovidio; and Brianne and Kyra Price . Son of the late John and Mary MacMaster. Dear brother of Marie MacDonald (Duncan), Bernie, Albert (Teresa), Gerard (Ann), Sharon Wilson, Betty MacGillivray (Leonard), Julie Davis, Donald, Earl, and the late Angus and George. Brother-in-law of Helen and Jerry Smith and Basil and Edith Jobin. Sadly missed by many good friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. John, loving husband for 52 years of Marguerite (nee Gardiner). Proud father of Roger and his wife Denise. Loving Grandpa of Kevin. Dear brother of Thomas (Denise), Joseph (Dalene), Roland (Jean), Donald (Patricia), Alma (Gary McKenzie), Laura, Cecile (the late Dutch Bosgraff), and predeceased by many other brothers and sisters. Survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family. McKNIGHT, Audala – passed away suddenly but peacefully with her family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, October 2, 2006, at the age of 63. Predeceased by her husband Joaquin. Loving mother of Edwin and his wife Mickey, Franklin and his wife Lori, Omar and his wife Susan, Ingrid and her husband Joshua, Junior and his wife Alison, and Joaquin and his wife Melissa. Proud “Abuela” to her grandchildren Ashley, Edwin, Malik, Nicole, Jessica, Kyle, Kody, Jasmine, Alissa, Joshua, Kane, Kruzito, Kaiden, Mateo, and Joaquin Carlos. Survived by her mother and several brothers and sisters in Guatemala. The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to the doctors and nurses of the Critical Care Unit of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and compassion. Predeceased by her husband Alexander McMeekin of New Lowell, Ontario, and her son Robert of the Northwest Territories. Loving mother of Gordon and his wife Pat of Campbellcroft. Annie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Erin and Alex, Dean, Greg, Cheryl, Jill and Lori, her daughter in-law Caroline and her extended family and friends. Daniel, loving son of Charlene (Rostkowski) and Garth Beebe of Bailieboro. Beloved brother of Matthew (Dana Phillips), Ethan, Theresa, and Bernadette. He will be sadly missed by grandparents Noble and June Beebe, and is predeceased by grandparents Chester and Charlotte Rostkowski. Also deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
