FRAITES, Sharon Lynn - (Resident of Wilmot Creek for 10 years, former member of the Richmond Hill Curling Club) - peacefully after a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in her 57th year. Loving and devoted wife of Lionel. Caring daughter of Bernard and Anna Foster of Peterborough. Dear sister of Robert Foster and his wife Pauline of Maryhill, Ont. Sharon will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and her extended family and friends. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 1-877-987-3964 with whom arrangements have been entrusted.

KRUKKERT, Rita (nee Bouwmeester) (member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the St. Vincent de Paul Society) – died peacefully at her home in Orono surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, December 30, 2005, in her 73rd year. Rita, beloved wife for 47 years of Gerry Krukkert. Devoted mother of Bernie (Roseanne) of Ottawa, Peter of Courtice, and David (Lisa) of Millbrook. Loving Oma of Tony, Ryan and Chantel. Dear sister of Henk (Rinie), Dinie (Sr. Maria), Antje (Jan), Minie (Ted), Antoon (Minie), Wim (Joka), Frans (Ria), Harry, John (Lidy), Rinus (Marjan) and Gerard (Ria). Donations in Rita’s memory to St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by her family.
Funeral Details: Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Monday, January 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 3:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 King Ave. E., Newcastle, on Tuesday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment, Orono Cemetery.

FRASER (Ogden) (nee Blondeau) Diana – (RPN and Housekeeping at St. Joseph’s and the Civic Hospital for 22 years) After a courageous battle with breast cancer on Thursday, December 29, 2005 with her family at her side at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Diana, loving wife of Wayne Thomas Fraser for one year on December 27, 2005. Dear mother of René and her husband John Carney. Grandma to Mackenzie and Camdyn. Sister of Donnie Blondeau and his wife Karen, Judy and her husband Ian Campbell, Janice Blondeau, Leila Lain, Randy Blondeau and his wife Kathy, Laurie and her husband Michael Ward, Wendy Blondeau, Wayne Blondeau and his wife Carol. Daughter-in-law of Eileen Fraser. Predeceased by her parents Donald Maynard Blondeau and his wife Marjorie (nee Bishop). Diana will sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.
