Peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2002 after a long illness, in his 77th year Beloved husband for 53 years of Marg. Father to Brent of Canmore, Alberta, Brenda of Kitchener, ON, Brian of Sechelt,B.C., and Karen (John Hearty) of Ottawa. Pround grandfather to Chelsea and Tyler Heardy. Brother of Pauline (the late Donald Shaw), Eldon (Helen), Eileen (James Freeman), Marjorie (Carl Watson) and the late Donald. No visitation, as per Clare's request. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration at Cityview United Church, 6 Epworth Avenue, Ottawa on Saturday, October 12,2002 at 1p.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Arrangements in care of the Memorial Fuenral Home of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 584 Somerset street. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at home on Friday, October 4, 2002 at the age of 52 years. Loving wife of Rick. Devoted mother of Mike and Will. Daughter of the late Starr and Ruby Burchill of Merrickville. Dear daughter-in-law of Lloyd and Helen Patch of Kingston. Dear sister-in-law of Jon (Cathy) Patch of Victoria BC., Jeff (Janet) Patch of Nasonworth NB, and Linda Baker (John Coenraads) of Kingston. During her long battle with cancer, Bev and her family found comfort and strength through faith in their Saviour Jesus Christ. Many thanks to all the doctors and nurses who gave loving care to Bev over the years. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., on Tuesday, October 8 from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Metropolitan Bible Church, 453 Bank at Gladstone on Wednesday, October 9 at 1 p.m. Those wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Metropolitan Bible Church.

Mary Celestine (nee Plunkett) Prouse - 10/11/2002
PROUSE, Mary Celestine (nee Plunkett) Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday October 9, 2002, Mary Celestine Prouse of Ottawa and Farrellton, PQ, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Robert Kitchener Prouse. Dear mother of Susan (Manny) Montsion, Rob (Eleanor) Prouse, and Kathy (Garry) McDougall. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Nancy, Susan and Pamela, Nicole, and Jean, Angela, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Great grandmother of Chris, Emma and Matthew. Dear sister of Norbert (Grace), Carmel and Connor. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Catherine, brother Frank, and granddaughter Karen. She was a special education teacher at Heron Park and Arch St. schools until her retirement in 1979 and will be fondly remembered by the many students to whom she devoted her tireless energy and exceptional skills. Past president and current member of the local chapter of the Retired Teachers of Ontario, and devoted a great deal of her time to various committees in her condominium building. To celebrate Celestine's life friends may visit the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. Ottawa, on Monday October 14, 2002 from 1pm until service time in the Chapel at 2pm. Cremation has taken place and Interment in the family plot at Farrellton will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Ottawa area Lung Association would be appreciated.

Beloved husband for 54 years of Joan (nee Barrett). Loving father of Derek (Linda) and Heather (Brian Martelock). Dear grandpa of Jennifer (deceased), Valerie, Carolyn, and Julia. Also survived by sisters Louise Gruzd and Emma smith and by many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Monday, October 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral ceremony will be held at Britannia United Church, 985 Pinecrest Road on Tuesday, October 15, at 11 a.m. In his memory those wishing may make a donation to the Juno Beach Memorial Foundation c/o Juno Beach Centre, 24 - 2407 Woodward Avenue, Burlington, Ontario, L7R 4J2 (1-877-828-5866) or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Clorinthe Terreau - 10/10/2002
passed away in Ottawa on September 1st in her 95th year after a long journey with the Alzheimer disease. Daughter of the late Louis Deschenes and Marquerite Whelan. Wife of the late Andre Terreau. Mother of Marc (Lucille), grandmother of Linda (rod) and Eric (Karen). Great-grandmother of Zachary and Jacob. No Visitation. Following cremation her ashes will be intered in Quebec City at a later date. Funeral arrangments in care of the St-Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa-Carleton will be apprecitaed.

Kimberley Urschatz-Anton - 10/07/2002
It is with great sadness, yet gentle relief, that we announce the peaceful passing of Kim on Monday, October 7, 2002 at the age of 37 years. Beloved daughter of Arlene Anton and Richard Urschatz (Wanda). Cherished sister of David Urschatz (Sandra) and Kevin Urschatz (Ruth). She was loved by many relatives and close friends. Kim endeared herself to all who knew her and will be fondly remembered for her kindness, friendship and great wit, right until the end. Kim took part in clinical trial treatments for Cancer Research showing her great strength courage and need to help others Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Kim’s life at the McGarry Memorial Chapel 139 valley Road, Wakefield, on Friday, October 111th, 2002 at 11 a.rn. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Winnipeg in the summer of 2003. A heartfelt thank you to the Wakefield Hospital for the loving compassion they showed to Kim and her family, and to the team of medical professionals who were relentless in their treatment of Kim’s illness. For those wishing donations may be made to the Cancer Research Society.

Daddy passed away today after a long courageous battle with cancer. Leaving behind his beloved wife Margaret Goyette. Dad worked for 28 years for the late Ernest Assaly and his many friends at Ability Moving. Predeceased by his father John Paul Barnes Sr. and his mother Aurore (Nora) Crate. Also leaving behind his beloved children Paul, William, Eileen (Richard), Karen (Ed), Jim (Betty), Theresa (Michael), Gerry (Natalie) and adopted daughter Anita McDonald. Cherished by his 13 grandchildren. Survived by brother Ronald and sisters Vivian, Theresa and Dolores. Predeceased by his brother Joseph and sisters Georgette, Eileen and Evelyn. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Saturday and Sunday, December 7th and 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Notre-Dame Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, 294 Cyr St. Ottawa. As an expressions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
