Ora Sumpton
At Hampton Court on Monday, August 18th, 2003, at the age of 96 years, the former Ora McIntee of Southampton. Beloved wife for 76 years of Wilfred Sumpton of Hampton Court. Dear mother of Mervin of Owen Sound, Donald, and Reg and his wife Barb, all of Windsor. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Grace McLaren, Barb Ricketts, Edith and her husband Scruff Claeren, Marie Sumpton, Terry and his wife Anita, Ron, Linda Geroux and her spouse Chris Deforest, Deanna and her husband John, Robert, and Shirley and her husband Rob Lawlor, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Clara, five sisters, and one brother.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Elder A.J.V. Leeder and Elder William McCarty officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Saugeen Shores Medical Centre or Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Bruce Subject
At the Southampton Care Centre on Sunday, April 30th, 2006, at the age of 93 years, Bruce Subject of Southampton. Much loved companion of Gladys Pickard of Southampton. Husband of the late Loretta P. Leifso. Dear father of Bonnie and her husband Jim Galbraith of Mitchell, David of British Columbia, and Paul and his wife Christina of Burlington. Grandfather of Jodie Galbraith, Shannon and her husband Peter Price , and Susan Subject. Great-grandfather of Noah and Maggie Price . Brother of Jim of Port Elgin, and John of Toronto. Predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Bruce will be sadly missed by Gladys' two children, Eric Przybylowski and his wife Mary Anne of Port Elgin, and Roena and her husband Randy Dykin of Alberta.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3rd .
Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with
the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
Interment in Chesley Cemetery.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #155, Southampton will hold a memorial service in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m.

Straus, Betty Gene
Suddenly at her home on Thursday, November 9th, 2000 in her 74th year, the former Betty Finnerty of Port Elgin. Dear wife of the late Leo Straus. Loving mother of Janice of Calgary, Cathy and her husband Michael Baines of Hepworth, Jim and his friend Connie Tanner of Port Elgin and Paula and her husband Don Sanderson of Brantford. Sister of Florence Finnerty Grady of Halifax, Mary Bridges of Australia and Donna and her husband Don Sloat of Kitchener. She will be missed by her grandchildren, David, Rachael, Andrew, Amanda and Sarah Baines, and Madeline Sanderson. Fondly remembered by Zachary and Katrina Zadow. Beloved aunt of Michael and Karen Sloat. She is predeceased by her sister Margery Hodson and her husband Harold.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Port Elgin on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Robert Hudson officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Arthritis Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Grey Bruce Lung Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m.

Stow, Frederick Arnold
In Owen Sound, on Friday, September 21st, 2001 in his 81st year, Frederick Arnold Stow of Southampton. Beloved husband and best friend of the former Dorothy Joyce Reinhart.
Veteran of WW II (Grey and Simcoe Foresters) and a graduate of Sandhurst Military College, England. Also survived by a dearly loved family, son Rick and his wife Cynthia of New Liskeard; daughter Nancy Stow of Toronto; grandchildren, Tiffany Stow and her partner Michael Gore of New Liskeard, Twyla Stow of Ottawa, Stefan Pohl of Toronto; two great-grandsons, Winter and Noble Stow-Gore. Also survived by brother Edwin and his wife Jean of Nepean, and many cherished friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents Edwin A.G. and Mabel (Ducker) Stow, and by his sister May Johnson.
At the request of the deceased, and in thankfulness for life, the body has been sent to a Medical Research Centre. Fred was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Canada for 33 years. A Memorial and Thanksgiving for Life Service will be celebrated in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Southampton, on Saturday, October 27th, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Wild officiating. Friends will be received in the Church Hall following the Service.

Stotesbury, Helena Thomas
At her home in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, January 30th, 2002, at the age of 93 years, Helena Thomas Stotesbury, wife of the Rev. Earl Stotesburg of Southampton and Sauble Beach, Mother of Diane Lewis, and Valerie and her husband Robert Redner, all of Detroit. Stepmother of David Stotesbury and his wife Ruth of Sault Ste. Marie, Donald Stotesbury and his wife Linda of Mt. Albert, and Dennis Stotesbury and his wife Susan of Coldwater. She is survived by 31 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by 6 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been conducted in Florida.

Rev. Earl Stotesbury
At Sunnybrook and Women’s College Medical Centre in Toronto on Saturday, March 13th, 2004, in his 88th year, Rev. Earl Stotesbury. Beloved husband of the late Grace Hiron and the late Helena Thomas. Dear mother of David and his wife Ruth of Sault Ste. Marie, Donald and his wife Linda of Mount Albert, and Dennis and his wife Susan of Orillia. Proud grandfather of Teresa and her husband Jay Headrick, Corinne, Ian, Sarah, Jessica and Michael, and great-grandson Thomas. Survived by brothers Vic and his wife Ruth, Doug and his wife Joyce, and by sisters-in-law Mabel Wilson, Marnie Staub, and Mary Hiron. Predeceased by one son Douglas, by his brother Paul and his wife Grace, brother–in-law Doug Hiron and sisters-in-law Dora and Rudy. Will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) on Wednesday, March 17th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. , and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Wesley United Church. Funeral service will be conducted in Wesley United Church, (Highway 21, east of Southampton) on the Saugeen First Nation, on Thursday, March 18th, at 2 p.m. , with the Rev. Eleanor Russ officiating.

Storey, Charles "Wayne"
Charles Ernest "Wayne" Storey of Port Elgin, passed away April 4, 2001 in Southampton. Born November 27, 1910 in Toronto, the son of the late Charles and Barbara Storey. Wayne was the manager of Confederation Life Mortgage Dept., and a member of the Port Elgin United Church.
Survived by his children, Anne Palmer of Oshawa, and Brian Storey and his wife Bridget of Vancouver, BC.
Predeceased by his wife Madeline Todd, and son-in-law Neil Palmer. Dear grandfather of Douglas & Donna Palmer, Peter and Cathy Palmer, great grandfather of Kelly Palmer, Nichole Palmer.
Funeral Service was held on Tuesday April 10, 2001 from the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel. Rev. Gordon Williams officiated.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Cremation.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Port Elgin United Church were appreciated.

Fern Stone
At the Southampton Care Centre on Friday, January 6th, 2006, at the age of 80 years, the former Fern Levy. Wife of the late George Stone. Mother of Jane Pette and her friend Paul Hillyer of Owen Sound. Grandmother of Shawn and Sandra Pette of Paris, Michael Pette of London, Susan and Jay Drummond of London, and Jennifer Pette and her friend James Scongack of Port Elgin. She is also survived by her former son-in-law Edward Pette of Port Elgin. Fern was predeceased by her son Tom in 1972, by her brother Lloyd Levy, and by her parents George and Carolyn Levy.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at Faith Lutheran Church, 525 Ivings Dr. Port Elgin, on Monday morning, January 9th, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the sanctuary of the church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dwight Biggs officiating. A reception with the family will follow.
Interment Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.

Peggy Stewart
At St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, December 15th, 2006 at the age of 76 years, the former Peggy Wilson of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Mac Stewart. Mother of Dianne and her husband Rick Aubin of Port Elgin, Dennis and his wife Joan, and Steven, all of Paisley. Grandma to Steve and Rob Aubin, Andy and Sarah Stewart, and Kal Stewart. Sister of Marvin Wilson and his wife Louise of Prince George, B.C., Betty and her husband Al Smith of Belleville, Elva and her husband Gary Gaudrea, and Donna and her husband Heinz Daues, all of Boulter. Special Aunt/Sister of Mamie Dillabough.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Sunday, June 2nd, 2002, in her 72nd year, the former Rose Seiffert of Port Elgin. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Stewart. Dear mother of Barb and her husband Randy Linton, Marilyn and her husband Gary Baker, Tom, and Ron, all of Port Elgin. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stacey, Cory, Katie & Robbie, all of Port Elgin, and by her sister Marjorie Davies of London.
