Daniel, Mary Helen
member of 53 years, Burgoyne Women's Institute
At the Southampton Care Centre, on Monday, April 15, 2002, at the age of 90 years, the former Helen Bell. Wife of the late Walker Daniel. Mother of Margaret Esplen of Port Elgin, Elaine and her husband Jim Esplen of Burgoyne, and Doreen and her husband Bev Wark of Port Elgin. Grandma of Rick Esplen, Maxine Houle, Ken Esplen, Lisa Cobean, Kerrie Andrews, Scott Wark, Tanya Wolfe and Sarah Wark. Also surviving are twelve great-grandchildren, and three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bell, Isabel Bell and Hazel Reed. She is predeceased by two brothers Bob and Jack Bell, and by her son-in-law Mac Esplen.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17th. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Shores Medical Clinic Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Ida Mae D'Amour
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Monday, May 8th, 2006 at the age of 94 years, the former Ida Mae Tremblay of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Lorenzo D’Amour. Dear mother of Anita Bouchard of Port Elgin, Robert and his wife Marie Anna of Sudbury, and Gilbert and his wife Mary of Haileybury. She will be missed by her seventeen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her children Royal D'Amour, Maurice D'Amour, Cleo D'Amour and Claude D'Amour.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th. Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, 920 Wellington St., Port Elgin on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mike Francis officiating.
Interment to take place in St. John’s Cemetery, Garson, Ontario on Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. with Father Charles Mathieu officiating.
Memorial contributions to the Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m.

Robert Currie
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Bob Currie of Port Elgin after a courageous and valiant battle against cancer on Dec. 19, at the age of 75. Bob will be dearly missed by his sister Esther and her husband Richard Wolfe of Horseshoe Valley and his three nephews, Christopher and Leila Wolfe of London, England, Jeffrey Wolfe of Horseshoe Valley and Richard and Rhonda Wolfe of Richmond Hill. A void will be left in the hearts of Bob’s greatnephews Matthew and Cameron along with greatniece Jillian Wolfe of Richmond Hill. Bob was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Jennie Currie of Port Elgin.
The family will receive friends at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin on Friday, Dec.21st from 2 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 3 p.m.
Interment will be the Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
The family would like to express a very special thanks to Dr. Michael Marriott who provided great care and comfort to Bob.

Laurette Currie
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Wednesday, March 1st, 2006, at the age of 88 years, the former Laurette McEvoy of Port Elgin. She was predeceased by her husband Hamilton Currie and by her friend Murray MacDonald. Mother of Marilyn and her husband Bert Hatton of Port Elgin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kerry Hatton of Waterloo, and Derek and his wife Kim of Lucan, and by two great-grandchildren Shauna and Kara.
A private family funeral service will be conducted by the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Wray Cunningham
At the Grey-Bruce Health Services in Southampton on Thursday, December 15th, 2006, at the age of 88 years, Wray Cunningham of Port Elgin. Husband of the former Daisy Morgan. Father of Sandra and her husband Don Cox of Grand Bend, Scott and his wife Rosemary of Memphis, TN., Ken and his wife Margaret of Port Elgin, and Bob of London. Poppy of Stuart Cox of Toronto, Carolyn Cafik of Strathroy, Lea-Anne Cunningham of London, and Cassidy Cunningham of Memphis. Great-grandfather of Rachel Cox of Toronto. Predeceased by one grandson Justin Cox, and by two sisters Elsie Cook and Margaret Gilham. The family would like to acknowledge the memory of Miss Molly, whom Wray and Daisy dearly missed.

Cumming, Mary Mae
At her residence in Paisley on Monday, January 7th, 2002 in her 81st year, the former Mary Mae Cobean of Paisley. Beloved wife of James Cumming. Dear mother of Linda and her husband Eric Robinson of Alma, Don of Port Elgin, Dean of Saugeen Township, Barry and his wife Heather of Port Elgin, and Brian and his wife Lorie of Paisley. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Sister of Felicia Riddell of London and John Cobean and his wife Jean of Saugeen Township. She is predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Jean, daughter-in-law Marilyn, parents Lewis and Jean Cobean, sister Marie,and brothers R.J. and Glen

At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Tuesday, January 14th, 2003 in his 83rd year, Alvin Cumming of Paisley. Beloved husband of the former Clara Woelfle. Dear father of Robert and his wife Nancy of Saugeen Township, Reg and his wife Karen of Bruce Township, and Edith and her husband Brian Beech of Paisley. Brother of Nellie Johnston of Walkerton, and Ethel and her husband Calvin Cober of Saugeen Township. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Glen, daughter Sheila, brother Jim and sister Ilene.

Loving father of Kevin of Bermuda, Karen and her friend Gord, and Kyla all of St. Thomas. Stepfather of Dale and Patty McGrady of Proton Station, and Cathy and Don Charlebois of Creemore. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren. Beloved son of Theresa Cudmore of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear brother of Jeff and his wife Cindy of Sault Ste. Marie, Bart and his wife Agnes of Blind River, Greg, Terry and her husband Dominic, all of Sault Ste. Marie, Kelly and her husband Ed of Pine Island, and Jennifer of Sault Ste. Marie. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Royce Cudmore and by his sister Karen.

Suddenly at the London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, on Saturday, May 5, 2001, in his 57th year, Wayne Cranston of Port Elgin, 29 year employee of Ontario Hydro. Dear friend and husband of Sharon Jeffrey of Port Elgin. He is also survived by his mother Norine Cranston of Markham, sisters, Jean and her husband Blaine Boswell of Pittsburgh, and Beverly and her husband David Hill of Stouffville. He will be missed by Sharon’s family, Marilyn and her husband Mike Palmer of Tiverton and Karen and her husband Todd Kennedy of McGregor, his nieces and nephews, Scott & Sheryl, Leslie & Karen, Warren, Daisy & Brittany. He was predeceased by his father Ray Cranston, brother Merlyn and mother-in-law Edna Duck and by his faithful friend Tasha.

At the Southampton Care Centre, on Sunday, December 9th, 2007, at the age of 86, the former Betty McSwan of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Archie Coulter. Loving mother of Eileen Patey of Port Elgin. Granny of Kenneth and his wife Elisha of Paisley, Amanda Patey and Peter Bender of Waterloo, Craig Patey of Stoney Creek and Davis Coulter of BC. Great grandmother of Nevaeh Patey and Ethan Coulter. She is also survived by sister Freda Moffat-Clark of Mount Hope and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son David.

Coughlan, Erich
Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, January 9th, 2002, at the age of 19, Erich Coughlan of Port Elgin. First born and loving son of Mike and Christine Coughlan of Port Elgin. Beloved brother who will be deeply missed by Jacob, Brennan and Shantel all at home. Survived by Gramma Sheelah Coughlan, and Oma and Opa, Erika and Tony Brockmann, all of London. He will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He is predeceased by his Grandpa Craig Coughlan, Ur-Oma Hildegard Scholtmann, and Granny Mary Hetherington.
