Brannick, Mary Marguerite
Faithful member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, (presently the Community of Christ), Last Charter and Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary, Branch 340, Port Elgin
At the Grey-Bruce Health Services in Southampton on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the age of 83 years, Marguerite Brannick. Wife of the late T.A. “Pete” Brannick. Mother of Janice Storms of Lindsay, Irene and her husband Murray Howe of Bruce Twp., and Ann of Port Elgin. Grandma of Mark and Sarah Howe. Marg is fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Coral Mercer of Southampton, and by several nieces and nephews of the Mercer and Vennard families. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Vennard and the former Esther Macdonald, by her son-in-law Bill Storms, by one sister Irene Vennard, and by two brothers Alex and Clarence Vennard.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 15th. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Bill McCarty officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Shores Medical Clinic Building Fund or to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Boyes, Donald Kenneth
At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Saturday, August 4, 2001, at the age of 68, Donald Boyes of Port Elgin. Beloved husband of the former Ruth Elizabeth Fox. Dear brother of William and his wife Lois of St. Catharines, Barry and his wife Louise of Ottawa. He is brother-in-law to Irene and her husband Calvin Kay of Rockwood, Douglas Fox and his wife Bev of Dunnville, Wendel Fox and Ellen of Kirkfield, Alfred Fox and his wife Reta of Canfield. He will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Don retired from TRW Canada Ltd., St. Catharines, in June 1996 after 33 years of service and moved from Grimsby to Port Elgin. He was an avid angler and hunter, was a member of the Lake Huron Fishing Club and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
An informal celebration of Don's life will be held on Sunday, August 19th, 2001, from 2-4pm at the Holiday Trailer Park, in "The Hut", Southampton.

Chris Bowman
At her home on Tuesday, January 1st, 2008, at the age of 54 years, Chris Bowman of Port Elgin. She is survived by her mother Eileen Hauser and stepfather Lloyd Hauser of Kitchener. Dear sister of Linda and her husband Tim Westhead of Whitby. Aunt of Jessica Westhead and her husband Derek Wuenschirs of Toronto, and Cameron Westhead and his partner Marcella Campbell of Canmore, AB. She is predeceased by her father Ernest Frank Bowman, and by her brother Frank Ernest Bowman.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) on Thursday, January 10th , from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Peter Stopford officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Bowes, Kenneth
Peacefully at his residence at Elgin Lodge in Port Elgin on Friday evening, March14th, 2003, at the age of 76 years, Ken Bowes of Port Elgin, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Wilkinson.Ken is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Bowes, and by niece Doris Meacham and her husband Don of Wiarton , and by nephew Dick Bowes ofLouisville, Kentucky.Predeceased by brothers and sisters Dorothy Smith, Marie Strachan, Roy Bowes, Cliff Bowes, and Nadean Chapman.Ken will be especially missed by close friends Rachel and John MacDonald.

Bowes, Cliff
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton Site on Monday, September 9th, 2002 at the age of 83 years, Cliff Bowes of Port Elgin and formerly of Oshawa. Loved husband and best friend of Pat Bowes. Dearly missed by Joan and her husband Jack Myers of Southampton, Dr. Tony Gerrow of Calgary, Rick Gerrow and his wife Laurell of Mitchell, Tina and her husband Tony Gumbinger of Oshawa, Kelly Gerrow of Ottawa and Gerry Gerrow and his wife Simone of Whitby. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and by his brother Ken Bowes of Port Elgin.

Joan Boudreau
Passed away at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 at the age of 67 years, Joan Boudreau of Port Elgin. Beloved wife for 46 years of Alfred Boudreau. Loving mother of Brett, currently stationed in Brussels, Belgium with his wife Brigitte. Doting grandma of Katherine and Alexander. She will also be dearly missed by her mother-in-law, Emily Boudreau of Yarmouth, nieces Patti Byers and Sandra Mercey, extended family and many friends.

At the Grey-Bruce Health Services in Southampton, early Friday morning July 19th, 2002, at the age of 79 years, Darius Charles “Pete” Boisvert, husband of Jean Boisvert of Port Elgin. Father of Brian and his wife Lynn of Cambridge, and Glenn and his wife Megan of Owen Sound.Grandpa to Andrea and Theresa, both of Cambridge, and Tannis of Owen Sound.Brother of Lou and her husband Matt Scott of St. Catharines, Lily Lemay of Thorold, and Rita and her husband Jim Haine of Niagara Falls.Pete will be missed by his nieces and their families.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Saturday, November 13th, 2004 in her 91st year, Jean Black of Port Elgin. Dear sister of Rae McIntosh of Port Elgin. Jean is survived by her nieces and nephews, Marilyn and her husband RonMcComb, John McIntosh and his wife Joyce, Bill McIntosh and his wife Linda, Grace and her husband Jim Currie, and Beverly and her husband Jim Helps She is also survived by her sister in law Grace Black, and by many great, and great-great nieces and nephews. Jean is predeceasedby her brothers Keith Black and his wife June, Ralph Black and by her brother-in-law Angus McIntosh.

Blue, Melanie Rachael
Surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 9th, 2002, Melanie Blue, at the age of four months. Dearly loved daughter of Robert and Debbie Blue of Port Elgin. Melanie will be missed by her grandparents, Joyce Atkinson of Port Elgin and Jim and Elaine Blue and great grandparents Bob And Margaret Atkinson all of Paisley. She is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandpa Ted Atkinson and cousin Ronnie McCulloch.

Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Wednesday, January 15th, 2003, , at the age of 80 years, Edna Blain of Port Elgin and formerly of Barrie. Loving wife for 60 years and beloved companion of Gordon (Bud) Blain. Dear mother of Garry and his wife Barbara of Niagara-on-the-Lake, David and his wife Gail of Barrie, and Susan and her husband Gary Exell of Port Elgin. Sadly missed by grandchildren; Jeffrey, Michael, Lori, Tara, Lisa, Tracy & Jill.

Edith "Mabel" Birrell
At the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Chesley, on Friday, November 23rd, 2007 at the age of 91 years, the former Mabel Routledge of Elgin Abbey Lodge, Chesley and formerly of Pinkerton. Wife of the late Harold Birrell. Beloved mother of Judy and her husband Dennis Reany of Port Elgin, Don and his wife Ainslee of Strathroy, Doug of Hanover, James and his wife Grace of Pinkerton and Susan of Nanaimo B.C. Grandmother of eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. Sister of Jean and her husband George Leitch of Don Mills, Robert Routledge and his wife Afifa of Arizona, Harold Routledge and his wife Maureen of Atlin, B.C. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth (Betty) Williams of London. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents John and Edith Routledge.

Grandfather of Mikyla Dodd Binns, Dakota Gold, David Binns, Brett, Shalaine, and Colin Ritchie. Brother of Noreen Canavan of Victoria, B.C., Carol and John Birch of B.C., and Rod & Lesley Binns of England. Son of Sarah Binns and John Bull. Beloved friend of Billy, Cori and Morgan Power. He is predeceased by his father Arthur Binns and by his sister Penny Doane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Port Elgin on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2002 at 11 a.m., with Father Robert Hudson as celebrant, followed by a reception with the family in St. Joseph's Jubilee Hall.
