Juliana Bamford
At herresidence in Brantford on Wednesday, December 10th, 2003, at the age of 60 years, the former Juliana Reyneke, formerly of Port Elgin, wife of the late Francis Bamford, mother of Phillip of Vancouver, Alex and his wife Heather of Port Elgin, and Carmen and her husband Lou Szakacs of Brantford. Oma to Devin Smith, Tyler Bamford, and Nickolas Bamford.She is also survived by her family in South Africa. Special “Mrs. B.”to Jeannette and David Sim, and all the wonderful children who were a part of her life.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Sunday afternoon, December 21st,from 2 to 4 p.m.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin, with Father Mike Francis officiating.

Ball, Margaret
In Port Elgin on Friday, February 14th, 2003, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with brain cancer, the former Margaret Gibson of Port Elgin, in her 66th year. Loving and devoted mother of Brinda Smits and her husband Norman of Port Elgin, Gary Ball and Deborah Gaylor of Hamilton, Debbie and her husband Jim Ladd of Southampton, Kathy Schultz of Peterborough and Teresa Ball and Bruce Laurie of Hamilton.Will be missed by brother Charles Gibson and his wife Betty of Ancaster and by the children’s father, Russell Ball. Fondly remembered Aunt of Sandra, Kim and Jennifer. Dedicated and cherished grandmother of Norinda, Erin and Sherry Smits, Michael and David Ball, Elisha and Robin Ladd, Nira, Tegan and Kylie Schultz, and Joshua and Hayley Laurie. Proud great-grandmother of Michael Shular. Sister-in-law of Ken and Lila Ball, Vera and Charlie Cassell and Verna Wardrop.

Baker, Lloyd Sydney
At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton Site, on Saturday, July 13th, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer, Lloyd Baker of Port Elgin and formerly of Guelph. Loving husband of the former Effie Norris. Devoted father of Lynda and her husband Bryan Le Blanc of Port Elgin, Bob and his wife Sherry of Whistler, BC, Don of Revelstoke, BC, Wendi and her husband John Dawson of Tagish, Yukon and Paul and his wife Jeanine of Craig Lake, Yukon. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Loving brother of Helen and her husband Wilf Ottman of Kitchener and Evelyn Delany of London. He is predeceased by his brothers Lew and Ken and grandson Evan.
A private family service andInterment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph.
A Celebration of Life for Lloyd will be held at Lloyd and Effie’s residence on Sunday, July 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

At the Grey-Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Saturday evening, April 6, 2002, at the age of 78 years, Joe Baker of Port Elgin, husband of the former Aileen McNally, father of Wayne and his wife Anne of Port Perry, Brenda and James Smith of Woodstock, Patricia of Owen Sound, Gary and his wife Marilyn of Port Elgin, and Carol and her husband Gui Goncalves of Maryland. Grandpa to Michael and Gary Baker, Devin York, Mathew Lancaster, Selena Smith, Katherine and Robert Baker, Orlando and Joleena Goncalves. Brother of Laurene Baker, Betty Harris, and Gayle Baker, all of London. Brother-in-law of Harold McNally and his wife Doris, and Arthur McNally and his wife Jean, all of Meaford.

In Owen Sound on Friday, March 9th, 2001 in her 56th year, the former Margaret-Louise Carlisle, mother of Michael Bahen and his wife Deanna of Port Elgin, Sandra-Louise Stewart of Newmarket, and Jewel and her husband Jason Steele of Port Elgin. Grandma of Shannon and Michael Bahen, Richard and Christopher Stewart and Kayla, Nicole, Laura and Bradley Stele.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Sunday, January 29th, 2006 at the age of 87 years, Enda Aun of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Karl Aun. Mother of Tonu Aun and his wife Carol of Toronto, Ene and her husband Werner Hartel of Port Elgin. Emme to Leiki and her husband Gavin of Australia and Michael Hartel of Port Elgin.
Funeral service will be conducted at the Murray E. Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Toronto on Monday, February 6th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.. Following the funeral service a reception with the family will be held in the reception suite of the funeral home.
Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Atkinson, Wm. Robert
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Thursday, March 27th, 2003 at the age of 72 years, Bob Atkinson of Port Elgin. Father of Drew and Michael Atkinson. Brother of Edith and her husband Charles Stewart of Meaford, Margaret and her husband Howard Chappell of Saugeen Township, Mike and his wife Doreen of Kingston, and Louise and her husband Leonard Neeb of Bruce Township. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren and Jesse, his sister-in-law, Joyce Atkinson, and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Ted.
A funeral service will be conducted in the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) on Saturday, March 29th, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Robert Atkinson
At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2004, at the age of 92 years, Bob Atkinson of Paisley. Husband of the former Margaret Blue and the late Doris Harbord. Father of John and his wife Beverley of London, Micheal and his wife Alexina of Port Elgin, Douglas and his wife Judy of Paisley, Jim Blue and his wife Elaine of Paisley, Carol of Midland, Jeanette and her husband Richard Ash of Hanover, Nancy and her husband Brian Ash of Peabody, and Kim and her husband Larry Martini of Arkwright. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and by his great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. South, Paisley from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.Funeral service will be conducted in Knox United Church, 399 Goldie St., Paisley, on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Murray Rounding officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.

Lois Atkinson
At the Grey Bruce Health Service in Southampton on Tuesday, November 1st, 2005, at the age of 76 years, the former Lois Stansal of Southampton and formerly of Toronto. Wife of the late George Atkinson. Mother of Carolyn of Southampton, Brian of Richmond Hill, Gilbert of Newmarket, Barbara of Southampton, Laurel Ough of Edmonton, Wendy Kitts of Bowmanville, Darlene Ford of Mississauga, Kenneth of Edmonton, Kimberley Summers of Mallorytown, Ellen of Bowmanville, and Randy of Fergus. She is survived also by seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Sister of Ross Stansal of Toronto and Jean MacArthur of Owen Sound. Lois is predeceased by one son Darrell, by two brothers Allan and Ronald, and by one sister Ruth Scott.Friends may call at the W. At his residence on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003, at the age of 65 years, Ken Atkinson of Port Elgin. Father of Tim and Tom, both of Port Elgin. He is also survived by his sister Audrey, brother Bobby, and brother-in-law Ivan, all of Hamilton.

Harold Atkinson
At South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Sunday, June 6th, 2004 at the age of 55 years, Harold Atkinson of Cargill. Husband of the former Velma Roach. Dear father of Wilfred of Cargill. He is also survived by his mother Emily Atkinson of Cargill, and by his sister Edith and her husband Glen Downer of Shelburne. He will also be missed by Velma’s family. He is predeceased by his father Wilfred and by his nephew David.

Funeral services were conducted at the Kelly Funeral Home in Ottawa on Friday, September 19that 3 p.m.A memorial gathering will be held at the Lakeshore Racquet and Recreation Centre in Port Elgin on Sunday, September 21st from 7 to 9 p.m.

Charles Armstrong
Peacefully at his residence on Monday, October 17th, 2005 in his 72nd year, Charles Armstrong of R.R. #3, Paisley. Brother of Tom and his wife Josie of Thornhill. Uncle of Karen of Toronto and Julie of Whistler, B.C. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Vera Armstrong.

Marie Appell
Passed away suddenly at the KW Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, December 31st, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert Appell for the past 62 years. Loving mother of Melvin and his wife Marie-Anne Boulain of Hillsburgh, and David and his wife Lisa of St. Albert, Alberta. Proud and loving grandmother of Andrew and Shayla Appell, and great-grandmother of Clay Robert. Marie is also survived by her sisters Violet Barnick of Kelowna, B.C., and Doreen Bradburn of Guelph. She is predeceased by her daughter Diane Appell and by her brother George Winfield.
Marie was born in Guelph on June 2nd, 1923 and after marrying Bob lived on Sheridan Court in Kitchener for 32 years. In 1986, Marie and Bob retired to Port Elgin to fulfill their dream of living on the water. While in Kitchener, Marie was a member of Highland Road Baptist Church and in Port Elgin attended the Port Elgin United Church. Marie held several leadership positions within the community including being a founding member of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, President of the KW Arthritis Society, Jaycettes and the Kiwanis Queens.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Marie's life and faith will be held at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Monday, January 5th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to join the family at the Port Elgin United Church for refreshments and a time to visit.
Following cremation,Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
