Marion Barker
Barker, Marion M. E.
Suddenly at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Friday September 24, 2004. Marion Hayden was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Thurtle and of the late Leo Barker. Predeceased by her sister Ruth McDonald and her brother Sherwood Hayden. Marion is survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends around the world. Special friend of Muriel and John Bell. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Friday October 8, 2004 from 7-9 pm and Saturday October 9, 2004 from 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment, Port Hope Union Cemetery. If desired, and in keeping with Marion’s strong faith, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Port Hope or to the Cariboo Presbyterian House Church Mission.

Hubert (Bert) Blomme
Blomme, Hubert A. (Bert)
passed away peacefully at Port Hope on Saturday March 8, 2003.
Born near Swan Lake, Manitoba, Bert Blomme had a great desire to learn and succeed in life. With the support of his parents, and his own drive, he became an electrical engineer, joining Ontario Hydro and working in London, Windsor and Essex before becoming superintendent of the Sir Adam Beck plant in Niagara Falls. He went on to provide senior-level support to electrical systems in Nigeria, Pakistan and China.
Survived by his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth Walsh and children Brian Blomme (Sheila McCook), Elizabeth Blomme (Bernie Finkelstein), Lawrence Walsh, Kevin Blomme (Debra). Beloved brother of Denise (David Burton). Also survived by his grandchildren Willy Blomme, Noah Finkelstein and Edan Blomme, Taylor Walsh, Brennan and Leighton Blomme, and his niece Charlene Couch (Jim husband and Michael son).
A funeral service will be held in the Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Port Hope at 11 a.m. Thursday 13 March 2003.

Dear mother of Lyn Elliott and Peter Elliott and his wife Diane and grandmother of Christopher and David. Sister in spirit of Irene (Wilson) Sly. Pre-deceased by sister Babe (Brooks) Brodie and brother Bud Brooks. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Wednesday 7-9 pm. Loving father of Matthew, Nicholas and Sierra. Son of Caterina Marcuz and the late Delfino and Domenica Marcuz. Brother of Danielle Brown (Dave) and Kathy Magagna (Frank). Son-in-law of Patricia Barr and the late Doug of Ganonoque. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
