Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Thursday, May 27, 2004. George R. Julien of Strathroy in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Melba Julien (2004); dear father of Susan and her husband Jim Fairlie of Strathroy and Sally and her husband Art VanHolst of Campbell River, British Columbia; survived by three grandchildren Heather, Joel and Ann Fairlie; survived by his brothers Roy and George and sisters Vivian and May Julien all of the Cornwall area; also survived by his sister-in-law Inez Hatfield and brother-in-law Garnet Tilton. Predeceased by his brother Leo and sisters Mona and Alice. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance for George and Melba will be held at the Church of the New Covenant, 22 Holiday Dr., Brantford on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 1 PM with Rev. Muriel Stephenson and Rev. Art VanHolst officiating. Interment for both will take place this summer in Cornwall. Donations to the Strathmere Lodge Memorial Fund or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.

At Strathmere Lodge on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, Sadie J. (Cowan) Brady of Strathroy in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late John B. Brady (1986) and the late Clayton McPhalls (1947). Dear aunt of Alex Branan of Thamesford, Dr. Larry Cowan of Hamilton and Robert Cowan (qc) of London. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews from her first marriage. Predeceased by brothers John and Archie and sister Annie Warmoll and nephew Dr. Wallace Branan. Resting at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street, Strathroy from 7-9 P.M. Thursday, May 27, 2004 and 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service being held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Mike Perreault officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to Cairngorm United Church would be appreciated.

Seed, Frederick Alexander
At Sarnia General Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2004. Frederick Alexander Seed of Wallaceburg in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Margaret Seed and dear father of Beverley and Larry Lumley of Brigden and Brenda and Bill McFarlane of Brockville. Loving granfather of Christine, Shannon, Dianna, David, Tommy and Ryan. Great-grandfather of Danielle, Erin, Mariah and Charlee. Brother of Frank and Evelyn Seed and Freida Calcutt all of Strathroy. Predeceased by one brother Edward (Ted) Seed. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Strathroy Cemetery on Saturday, May 29 at 2 PM with Rev. Fr. Willi Kammerer officiating.

Miller, Christine Lillian
Christine Lillian Miller of Komoka and formerly Strathroy in her 99th year. She is survived by her loving sister Frances Boyce of Strathroy. Predeceased by her parents George and Ellen Miller and by 8 sisters and 4 brothers. Remembered with much fondess by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM till time of service. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to your charity of choice.

Branan, Allen Richard
Suddenly in Strathroy on Sunday May 16, 2004. Allen Richard Branan of Strathroy in his 52nd year. Beloved husband of Carol (Topping) Branan. Loving father of Tim and Deborah Riley, Dennis Riley and Jeannie (Hopwood), Yvonne Furanna and Tony Farpelha, Allen Jr. and Alisa Branan and Alison Branan and Shane Lee all of Strathroy. Loving grandfather of Andrew and Brianna Riley of Edmonton, Marissa Hopwood and Amanda Riley, Nicolle Furanna and Patrick Farpelha all of Strathroy. Brother of Joyce Pritchett and John and Linda Branan of London. Dear nephew of Don and Madeline Branan, Cornelius and Lucy Van Belois and Mary Foster . Will be missed by man's best friend "Maggie". Also survived by several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Allen was the son of the late Richard and Ada Branan and son-in-law of the late Arnold and Dorothy Topping. Vistiation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday, May 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 1 PM with Rev. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, April 11, 2005. Mearle Leone (Watson) Wardell of RR5, Strathroy in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Leslie Wardell (1991). Dear mother of Lloyde Wardell and his wife Irene of Strathroy, Willis Wardell of RR 5, Strathroy and Evan Wardell and his wife Willa of Thorndale. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Floyd Watson, Isabel McFarlane and Phyllis McIntosh and Willis Baker. Sister-in-law of Leo Wardell and his wife Dorothy and Joe Wardell and his wife Ann. Predeceased by her parents Garfield Watson and Ethel (Watson) Baker, brothers John Watson and Alger Baker and sister Wilma Orr. Friends will be received at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday, April 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 1:30 PM with Mrs. Thelma Perry officiating. On Saturday, April 9th, 2005 in his 86th year at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, George Douglas Crawford of Lobo Township. Loving husband to Verna Helen (Smith). Remembered by children Ken and Ilene Crawford of Mt. Brydges and Bill and Kathy Grose of Grand Bend. Grandfather of Ken and Cindy Grose of Grand Bend, Lisa and Greg Muir of Ottawa, Tracy and Chris Foster of St. Thomas and Kristy and Dale Greenwood of Parkhill. Lovingly remembered by great grandchildren Tyler, Jessica and Erin Foster , Cameron and Shawna Greenwood, Jayden, Skylar and Brandon Grose and Mikhaela and Brooklyn Muir. Brother of Keith and Evelyn Crawford of London, John and Signe Crawford of London and Glenn and Mary Crawford of Lobo Township. Son of the late Campbell and Alma Crawford. At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Friday, April 8, 2005, Mr. Antonio Gomes of Strathroy, in his 81st year. Predeceased by his loving wife Aurora Gomes (2003). Beloved father of Bernadette Gomes of Strathroy. Fondly remembered by his brothers Fr. Fernando Gomes of the Acores, Luis Gomes and Jose Goncalves (Tina), all of Strathroy. Visitation was held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, on Sunday, April 10, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. Burial has taken place in All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

At Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Saturday, April 2, 2005. Isabella Helen Kitchen (nee Robertson) in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Harold Ballantyne Kitchen in 1984 and also predeceased by her daughter, Kathryn Jane Barrett-Lambe in 1998. Beloved mother of Dr. John H. Kitchen and fondly remembered by Barbara West of Rochester, New York. Also fondly remembered by Woody and Lois Lambe of Woodstock and by William and Irma Barrett of London. Will be greatly missed by Kathryn and Martin Hess of London and by David and Trudi Barrett of Barrie as well as 3 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ann Robertson of Mississauga, and by Douglas and Terry Robertson of Brampton, and by Karen and John Shouldice of Mississauga. Suddenly at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday, March 31st, 2005, Jan Studniewski of Strathroy in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Maria Studniewski of Strathroy. Also survived by a sister in Poland and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy on Sunday, April 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Beloved husband of Victoria (Margaret) Schoenmakers (Marynissen) of Strathroy and dear father of Michael and Tammy Schoenmakers of Wyoming, Robert Schoenmakers of Strathroy and Debra and Chris Boere of London. Grandfather to Ruth, Beth, Kyle, Evan and predeceased by Deanna. Also survived by his brother Harry Schoenmakers of Mt. Elgin, Ontario. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy on Wednesday, November 10 from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Front Street East, Strathroy at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 11 with Father Ted Johnson officiating. Mendonca, Jose Alves
After a long battle with cancer, Jose Alves Mendonca in his 69th year at Strathroy Middlexsex General Hospital on November 3, 2004. Loving husband of Isaura Mendonca. Will be sadly missed by loving children Barbara Mead, Peggy (Mike) Way and Jennifer (Steve Mann). Fondly remembered by loving grandson Noah Mead. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Amelia and brother Frank Mendonca. Will be remembered by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 5th at 11am with Father John Sharp officiating. At Strathmere Lodge Strathroy on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, Olive Jean (Lewis) Wardell formerly of Adelaide Township, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon R. Wardell (1974). Dear mother of Kenneth and Barbara, Keith and Madeline and Bruce and Jean all of Windsor. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Irene Pincombe of Strathroy and Lorne Lewis of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Verna Dennis, Ida Meadows, and Alma Crawford and brothers John Lewis, George Lewis and Roy Lewis. Visitation at the Denning Bros. Also survived by his father-in-law Omer Matthys and brother-in-law Willy and Elizabeth Matthys. Predeceased by his father and mother Maurice and Alice Donck and mother-in-law Hermenie Matthys.
