Peacefully at Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga site on Friday, March 22, 2002. Beloved mother to Wendi. Loving grandmother to Bradi, Brandon and Brett. Mother-in-law to Brad. She will be missed by her brother Joe and sister Cathy. Dear friend to Lou and Eve. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 5 to 9 pm. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11am. Cremation.

Dearly missed by his devoted wife of 56 years Gladys (War Bride). Beloved father of Gail, Mark, and Jill (Paul Biles). Proud grandfather of Alison and Katie. Special grandfather of Marnie, Rebecca, (Jay Hodgson), Landry and great grandfather to Tanner. Dear brother of Gord, Jean Cruikshank, Mickey and Ken McCarthy, Jean Zulak and families and also all his family in England and Scotland. Funeral Service and Legion Honours in the Chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Karl Boromeus Winkler
( Born in Wiener Neustadt, Austria on May 20, 1918) passed away peacefully at West Park Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, April 6, 2002. Very dear husband of Gayle. Loving stepfather to Blair and Janice (deceased) and Trixie. Karl will be sadly missed by his many friends and everyone at Six Mile Lake. Karl will be remembered for his gentle smile and kindness to all who met him. A special thank you to all who cared for Karl at the Keele Lawrence Care Centre and at West Park. Peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Credit Valley Hospital. Ethel, beloved wife of the late William John. Loving mother of William and his wife Ruth of Newtonville, Ontario. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren David, Richard, Kevin and her great grandson’s David Jr, Andrew, Matthew and Nicholas. Ethel is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Stella Abbott
passed away on April 13, 2002 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Richard. Loving mother to step son Allan and his wife Sharon Abbott. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Gordon Smith, Heather and her husband Clifford Lichtenberger, and Leann Abbott. Predeceased by her sister Irene and survived by her sister in law Audrey Abbott of Toronto. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Atonement (256 Sheldon Ave, Etobicoke) on April 25, 2002 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.

Margaret Cairns
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Thursday, April 18, 2002. Margaret in her 100th year, beloved wife of the late Andrew Cairns. Loving mother of Irene and her husband Fred Read and mother-in-law to Juanita (Nin) of Halifax and Ruby of Barrie. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Brian, Karen, Keith, Wendy, Linda, Ralph, Darlene, Andy and her 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Michael Bernard Sheridan
Peacefully at home on Monday, April 22, 2002. Born in Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland. Michael, devoted and beloved husband of Margaret who was at his side always. Happily married for 49 years. Loving father of John and Roseanne Sheridan, Eileen and Dr. Daniel Malone, Maureen and Dr. Nicholas Mandrak and Michael and Dr. Elizabeth Sheridan. ‘Papa’ will be lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Kathryn, Sarah, Monica, Maggie, Katie, Devon, Madolyn, Alannah and Michael (his namesake). He was a dedicated employee (Hydraulic Technician) of Arrowhead Metals (formerly Anaconda American Brass) for 38 years. Michael’s greatest achievement was being a wonderful, generous and most loving father reflected in his four devoted children who cherished him. He gave us life and continues to live on in our hearts. Michael is survived by his sister, Anne Negus of Aurora, Ontario and Thomas Sheridan of Galway, Ireland and many nieces and nephews in Canada, Ireland and Australia. Peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga site in his 79th year, beloved husband of Dorothy. Dear loving father to Robert of Manitoba and Judy Walker and her husband Alan of Oakville. Dear grandfather to Tyson, Adam, Shannon and Dylan. Also sadly missed by his brother Nick and his wife Olga of Toronto, sister Rose Kuchma and her husband Vic of Hamilton and brother Jim and his wife Darlene of Toronto. He will also be missed by many other family and friends. Loving Babcia of Krystin, Ashley & Len Jr. She is also survived by her brother Michael Religa & many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Helen Menzies (Nee Boyd)
passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2002 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband John Menzies and friend Peter Krywy. Loving mother to John Jr and his wife Barbara, Richard and his wife Paddy. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Brandon, Kiernan, Natalie and her fiancé Mark, Matthew, and Rachel. Survived by her brothers and sisters Alex, Ann, Elsie, Emily, Fred and Kay and predeceased by Billy, John, Peter and Steve. Lovingly remembered by all her nieces and nephews here and overseas.
